[Starcade Media] Chase Daniel openly criticizing the questionable officiating during the #Chiefs loss to #Cowboys

  1. Didn’t change the narrative at all. People still think the chiefs have cheated by using Taylor swift to beguile the refs

  2. This game was really bad, in respect to officiating, but was it Carl Cheffers levels of bad? Also chiefs could have won that game, this loss is on the team and not the refs.

  3. It would be nice if the Chiefs had 1 or 2 strong physical receivers who could take advantage when the refs are letting them push off. But Andy only likes short tiny receivers for some reason

  4. We literally were not allowed to play defense on the last drive the cowboys had. Even OPI was called as a DPI. This just isn’t our year.

  5. A couple things are true –

One, the officiating was pretty bad at times, and two, the Chiefs were sloppy and undisciplined and just plain poor at times.

Combined, it made for an excruciatingly frustrating game.

  6. and any borderline call from the remaining games, people will be bitching about how NFL is rigging it for us to get into playoffs. such a fucked up situation.

  7. Complaining about officiating is peak loser mentality. They had more than enough chances to win despite the refs.

  8. Maybe it is as simple as Trump visiting the Super Bowl last year and supporting the chiefs. He shook Chris Jones ~~and Kelce’s hand.~~ I stand corrected-he did not shake Kelce’s hand.

Then he bailed when it was clear the chiefs were toast.

Think about it- with all the BS going on with ICE all over the country, then Goodell chooses to have a Puerto Rican person do the halftime show? It is almost to rub Trump the wrong way.

Last thing Goodell wants is the chiefs (and Trump) anywhere near the Super Bowl again.

So you could say that by Trump Visiting the team last SB, and by all the shit Trump is doing and saying this year (including saying he’ll send ICE to the Super Bowl) that might’ve been enough for Goodell to nuke the Chiefs.

Everything Trump touches turns to shit……

Hope The Hunt family, crazy Brittany, Mahomes’ mother enjoy the rest of the Trump presidency- I’m assuming they ALL root for what Trump is doing.

  9. Yesterday showed that the refs dont know what is supposed to be PI in either direction, or at least dont call it consistently at all between crews. All 3 games had brutally bad PI calls.

  10. It’s not just this game…I’ve seen some doozies just about every game. BUT zero pressure on the opponents QB does not help. Another game w no pressure no sacks

  11. It got to the point where on any critical play you knew a flag was coming against the Chiefs.

  12. The refs openly let our backup tackles hold every play. Rashee rice got held by like 4 different people on one of his TDs. Cowboys receivers were free to commit OPI and if you touched back it was DPI. Pickens took his helmet off on the field while the clock was running. They used props to celebrate TDs. Please never let this ref crew officiate a game ever again.

  13. Not calling unsportsmanlike conduct when Pickens removed his helmet made it pretty obvious what the officials were trying to accomplish. Easily the most blatant penalty of the entire game and they did absolutely jack shit. I don’t care if it’s after the play, it’s 100% a foul and calling it would at least somewhat show that the refs aren’t biased and subjective.

  14. Also interesting how it’s a valid strategy as a DL to just grab the OL and pull him down on top of you. Bam, hold.

  15. It’s obvious that the officiating was one sided yesterday. I fully understand that these people are human as well. But both things can be true, the defense didn’t play well and the penalties were egregious. It’s not so much the penalties, but when they were actually called. Every call either ended or seriously impacted an offensive drive for the Chiefs or extended a drive for the cowboys.

The holding on Simmons, the opi on Worthy, the multiple DPI that were easily no call hand fighting at least, but could have been opi.

I had non chief fans watching with me and they were all saying the same thing. Nothing will change the outcome, and it’s ok to call it what it was.

  16. First of all. We played bad again and it’s not the refs that beat us. It was no sacks, bad throws, drops, and poor execution overall.

    But..

Officiating in general is just too impactful on NFL games. The game is too litigious and judgement calls always err on the side of throwing the flag rather than letting guys play football.

  17. Some of the calls really confused me to the point I started questioning if I even knew ball and how to interpret what I was watching live on TV. That being said, I hate to even mention the officiating after a loss. It feels cheap.

We didn’t lose because of the refs, we did because we deserved to. We _could_ have won _in spite_ of the refs, but I don’t think we have what’s needed for it this year. This has been a _very_ humbling season to say the least.

  18. We didn’t lose because of the refs, but we absolutely lost momentum on defense and offense because of bad calls that kept Dal alive and ruined promising offense drives. Season in a nutshell.

  19. This game wasn’t lost as a result of officiating. This one comes down to game plan execution and coaching.

  20. In the colts game, bad calls and the phantom facemask seemed like refs were being incompetent.

Yesterday just felt so rigged! This game felt like Chris Jones strip sack getting called RTP, but times 10!!!!

Dak was surgical and Chiefs played sloppy but we had a good chance to tie or win at the end if we get a defensive stop.

  21. I’m not a believer in rigging, but officiating is no doubt making an effort to overcompensate for the narrative.

  22. Don’t care. Whining about the refs is loser behavior. You want to be helpful, talk about our sclerotic coaching and obsolete offensive and defensive schemes.

  23. That was the most biased, one-sided officiated game I’ve ever seen in any level of football. So much so that the crew should be investigated to make sure they, or those connected to them weren’t getting big paydays from bets. Incompetence can’t explain how they chose to make calls against the Chiefs, then swallow their whistle against the Cowboys.

  24. I mean … there were some very soft ass calls. But let’s not turn into the NFL sub. Two things can be true.
    1. The refs are extra hard on the team this year, more so than other teams.
    2. The team did go scoreless for 2 full quarters

  25. Who cares? They lost the game; reffing has been bad across the NFL for years. Look at the Packers’ game.

  26. It’s not “almost like that”. This is exactly what happened.

They said that narrative is bad for the league and the officials and punished the chiefs for the media being stupid and feeding into it

  27. It appeared to me that once Andy and Pat questioned the refs about that OPI, the crew got butt hurt and were looking for anything to call.

  28. We can only hope that this off season sees the rightful ban of the tush push, and refs get trained to see wide receiver push offs.
