* All after a ball-busting loss the other night to Philly
We looked awesome to start the game and Cooley looked shaky as hell for them but after that.. listen, the D needs to be better… but Tarasov also let in some shots from distance you just can’t give up. The 5 v. 3 sucked ass.
Happy the boys looked as good as they did late in the 3rd to cut the deficit in half but dropping games like this is gonna mean we’re just gonna have to dig ourselves out of a bigger hole in 2026 with Tkachuk and co. back. Not saying it’s impossible but that margin of error gets thinner and thinner with each dropped game like this.
I think it’s safe to say our season is a wash this year. The injuries just swallowed our depth. It was a hell of a three years

Blew 2 2-0 leads to teams we needed to collect points from. 3 straight losses where we didn’t even get 1 loser point.
It’s going to take a heroic remainder of the season to get to the playoffs.

Forecheck/back check chemistry just isn’t the same with the injuries. Also getting no puck luck while getting murdered by point shot tip ins.
I said after we won the second cup I wouldn’t care if we went 0-82-0 this season. I was wrong. This sucks lol
Gonna need Chucky to step it up on the rehab. Need Lousty to put some fucking aquaphor on his burns and get the fuck back out there. Need nosek to heal from whatever the fuck he got going on. Need reinforcements ASAP.
I never want to see Jeff Petry in a Panthers uniform ever again.

I know I’m going to get labelled a “doomer” (fuck off in advance and let me have my rant), but I reckon we need to have a points percentage of 60-65% from here on out to make the playoffs.
Until this team figures out how to string together a few games where they play a complete 60mins, which they have yet do so this season, I have ZERO confidence this group of players gets it done. None.
I’m absolutely sick to my stomach for Chucky and Barky. All the fucking hard yards they put it to make us a historic team over the past few years, and these fucking players through 24 games (outside of Marchand and Reinhart) have decided “mehhh we’re short-handed, what are we to do? Poor us”. It’s fucking embarrassing.
We’re not getting healthy any time soon. We maybe get Chucky next month. Maybe. We’re not getting Barkov back any time soon, Nosek and Kuli are still a ways out, Gadjovich isn’t coming back soon. We need to figure out how to play without these guys, because most of them are not coming in and saving the season until it’s likely too late. We need to hope and pray none of the Olympic players get hurt either. Because we can’t string together performances with them, missing them will still somehow only make that worse.
Marchand is earning his keep, I’ll say that much.
Ready for people to stop complaining about bobrovsky and tarasov. We need better control on fore and back checks. aside from a few notable moments, we’re looking sluggish as all get out.
And the worst part is we don’t own our first round pic 🙂
This really feels like 22-23 season
Dropping games in this stretch hurts. Because starting next week our schedule looks like this:
Columbus, Islanders, Utah, Colorado (2nd game in a B2B btw), Dallas, Tampa, LA, Carolina. All of those teams are in playoff spots and two of them are the top 2 teams in the league right now. Stringing wins here would have been huge going into that stretch.
I think we need to face the music that the injuries are too much to handle. We have depth but even the depth is out right now. We’ve got AHLers out there dressing every night and outside of Marchand and Reinhart, we aren’t getting the help we need from our regulars. Just the way it falls sometimes unfortunately.
Only two wins behind where we were last season through 24 games #justsaying

Any word on when Luosty is back? We’re missing him dearly.
realistically, what moves do you think Zito is going to make to stay cap compliant once our guys return for IR? puckpedia says we have a projected cap space of -7.6MM. im not sure what the rules are regarding players being on IR since they just made some tweaks to it last offseason.
in the offseason there was a lot of rumors that it would be Erod who goes, but at this point hes too useful for us. do you think we see a huge move, like Verhaeghe being sent away?
