What does the future hold for Jets QB Justin Fields after benching?

Perpetual backup
Who knows, but it won’t be here
Seems like a good dude. Probably end up elsewhere and ball out.
Not on 2026 roster. Failed experiment. We need a QB who can read defenses and throw on time.
Hopefully getting Cut.
It hurts to say, but failing with the Jets is very close to not being a disqualifier or proof of no talent.
He needs to bulk up and become a running back
Is there any chance he accepts a role as a gadget guy? I know these guys always believe in themselves but hes gotta see the writing on the wall for his future at qb
Back up QB status for the rest of his career
i think there is still a fair amount of interest from teams for him as a backup QB. If that interest isnt there , I do think he’s a player who could hypothetically make for a decent RB. Doubt he ever does that because backup even QB money will dwarf almost all RB salaries.
Verizon salesman at the strip mall.

“He took the midnight train going ANYWHERE “
If he can commit to being a wildcat/TE/hybrid guy ala Taysom Hill I think he’d be successful. Fields is 10x the athlete Hill is. Unfortunately he just flat out cannot pass or read a defense.
Nothing, he’s trash like the other stiff QB we got in the 2021 draft.
So many other QB’s were out there.
Dont care as long as it’s anywhere but here
Jets eat QBs up and spit them out.
Walmart greeter
Backup or Bust
Justin Fields is a backup QB. He isn’t a bridge. Jameis Winston is a bridge. Jacoby Brissett is a bridge.
Fields had upside and was worth a try but it didn’t work. Tyrod isn’t a bridge either though. That’s the problem.
Every QB coming out this year basically needs a bridge. Green Bay has illustrated you need a bridge.
The issue this league has is that there’s an awful lot of bad QB’s in the league. Not really relevant in any way shape or form.
