Survey: Any HOF players on our Championship Teams?
November 29, 2025
Only one I can think of possibility is Posey. What do you think?

Chances are Posey will be the only one who gets in. Bruce Bochy is also a shoo-in HOFer
Buster is a 2nd or 3rd ballot HoFer.
Joe Panik
Bochy and Buster. That’s it
Mike Fontenot
Can’t tell the story of baseball without Timmy or MadBum, but baseball’s HOF longevity criteria is dumb, and they won’t get in
Players? Only Posey. Entire team? Boch and Posey only
Buster?
I’m thinking about it and Rags was the pitching coach on all of those teams. Do coaches get in not as managers?
Too bad Timmy didn’t have a 15 year plus career… he was hall worthy for what, four years? God, he was amazing.
Bumgarner really won’t get in? I think he has too on his postseason credentials
I know it’s not gonna happen but lincecum deserves it. Back to back cy young’s and 3 rings should be enough.
Benji Molina
Jake Peavy is the next closest to Buster & Bochy. He won 3 rings with 2 different clubs (Red Sox & 2014 Giants) & was clutch in the postseason for both. In his age 23-28 peak he posted a 106-63 record, 3.27 ERA (134 ERA+), a Cy Young, a pitching Triple Crown, & 4 top-5 Cy Young finishes-numbers that stack up with many HOF starters-yet he still finished with 152 wins (vs 126 losses), 37.3 bWAR, and a career 3.63 ERA only because injuries stole essentially three full prime seasons (ages 29-32) and semi-forced him to retire at 35. If those lost injury years had been merely league-average instead of near-zero, he’d be sitting at roughly 210-220 wins & 48-50 WAR. Outside shot he gets in down the road by a selection committee but probably never will be in. Belongs in the Hall of very good like Madbum, Timmy & Cain.
Posey for sure. Lincecum should but his career was a little too short for the people that vote.Bumgardner too
In my heart? Posey, Mad Bum, Lincecum, Crawford, Matt Cain, Bochy.
In reality? Just Posey and Bochy.
Buster Posey will probably get in within the first 3 ballots. I’d be surprised if any other player from the run stays on the ballot all 10 years at least.
Buster, Bum, Cain, maybe Timmy. Definitely not Huff.
Posey and Bochey. Of course. Everyone knows that. But that’s it
Posey and Bochy
That’s what made those years so awesome. No HOF players.
Just Buster and Bochy.
I wish Timmy could get in but longevity is an important qualifier so he won’t be close to making it, in my opinion.
Posey’s a lock.
Eli Whiteside
Living in the past is awesome!
Maybe Posey, maybe Cain, other than that no sadly
Brandon Crawford would be a dream pick!
Bumgarner’s postseason heroics will likely ensure he remains on the ballot, which should be the goal. He may be able to do an Andruw Jones type path. Or maybe he’ll end up like Johan Santana and not quite make it. Looking forward to finding out!
Posey, Bochy, maybe Peavy and Hudson. A bunch of the dynasty guys were washed at 30 unfortunately.
