Started to have a intense conversation with my friend saying late 90s when Yankees were winning/buying championships were hated more than the Dodgers last few years. Who do you hate more?

P.S I hate both 90s Yankees more but Dodgers slowly about to surpass than.

  1. Late 90s Yankees right now, but by the end of the decade it will probably be this Dodgers team

  2. Yankees during that run, but then karma got the Yankees and the world seems at peace

  3. Dodgers (but this is coming from a lifelong Padres fan).

LA seems more “bought and paid for” than than the 90’s Yankees.

  4. Even if you hate the Dodgers it’s hard to hate Ohtani. Yankees never had someone as likable as Ohtani.

  5. It’s the Yankees and it’s not even close. Adding in how insufferable the Yankees fans were at the time, they were so uppity about their million titles. The last 20 years have humbled them some

  6. People saying Dodgers in this thread are too young to remember the pure hatred people had (and still have) for the Yankees dynasty (minus a few months after 9/11 when everyone rooted for them).

  7. Yankees.

As much as I hope the Dodgers never win another game, I really like a lot of their players.

The 90s Yankee players can lick my taint.

  8. There are so many wonderful personalities in the Dodgers dugout. The generation of sporting cartel Yankees to whom you are referring had athletes manufactured in a lab run by sweatshop children chewing on old cigar stumps.

    Edit: referring, not refereeing. Lol

  9. Yankees

And no only that, the Yankees happened before the big boom of social media. The hate they would receive in the modern day social media would be insane.

  10. If the Dodgers get Skubal and/or another big piece this offseason easily the Dodgers. I’d contend they already are worse, and people will be really fucking sick of Ohtani being allowed to only be paid 2M a year for his playing years.

They have brought in the last decade: Ohtani, Betts, Freeman, Snell, Yamamoto, Sasaki, Bauer (he was a big get at the time). All of which were premium targets, and you’ve still got Teoscar, Glasnow, and most of that expensive-ass pen to contend with.

I respected the Dodgers in the late 2010s, they actually felt like they were building a baseball team. Now they just light money on fire and act like assholes. It feels like every fucking new japanese superstar goes to LA, with a few other allstars sprinkled in there.

  11. They unfortunately lasted a while into the 2000s and Ohtani isn’t throwing broken bats at base runners…

  12. As a Jays fan, I have zero hate for the Dodgers. Even Blake Snell, I honestly don’t care. He did his part during the earlier rounds.

But Jeter (overrated) drove me up the wall. I respected everyone else on the team.

  13. I am a Padres fan. I hate them both…probably Dodgers more…but the Yankees crushed my teenage dreams in ’98 so….eh, its close.
