The NBA Has A Kel’el Ware PROBLEM..
After starting out the season slow, Khalil Wear is on a tear. The first 10 games, he averaged 9.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, but the thing is only 21.5 minutes per game. Meanwhile, in the last eight games, he’s averaging 15.9 points and 15.1 rebounds per game. He’s also playing starters minutes 29 minutes per game. And he’s played 234 minutes during this stretch. and the Heat are a plus 66 with a plus 12.7 net rating. With him on the court during this stretch, they’re a top three offense and defense. On top of that, they’ve been really struggling in the minutes without him. And the turning point was against the Knicks. They had back-to-back games versus them. And the first matchup, the Knicks absolutely destroyed them on the glass. And former team captain, veteran leader Udonis Hasslam was not very happy. sent him a text, a motivational one, and ever since then, he he’s just been on another level, especially in the rebounding category. In the last eight games, he’s averaging 5.1 offensive rebounds per game, and that actually is second during this stretch in the NBA, only behind Donovan Klingan, who’s averaging 5.3. He’s also averaging 10 defensive rebounds per game, which is top three in that category. and he’s leading with 15.1 rebounds per game over this stretch in the entire NBA. As you can imagine, this is leading to second chance opportunities for not only where, but his teammates. It’s been a key ingredient to their offense lately. So, last eight games, 18.8 second chance points for the Heat. That’s second only behind the Portland Trailblazers. And what do you know? Wear is actually second with 5.3 second chance points only behind Joel Embiid and and Embiid has only played one game. So basically Wear is actually first during this 8game stretch. Overall it just seems like he’s on another level in terms of mastering the little things that big men do. He’s been so active hustling. He’s also showing more emotion lately. I just think he’s starting to understand how to utilize his physical advantage over the opponent. And a stat I think you see that in is lately he’s been getting to the free throw line more often. During his hot stretch as of late he’s averaging 2.8 free throws per game. To put that in perspective over his short NBA career only 1.3 free throws per game. But then little things like this are so key. Dribble handoff with Vonteio. You are a large human being. There’s no way Grimes should be able to skirt through this screen. Great execution. Now Fonteio has an instant advantage and Drummond’s in a one-on-one situation. The thing is, Drummond actually plays this well. But because of his length, his catch radius is off the charts. It’s basically in space. Outside of Wemi, Giannis, you know, those types of freaks of nature, nobody can go up and get a lob like this. Nobody’s bringing this much vertical spacing to the table. And then yesterday, the Mavericks went small. So, as Larson is driving, he just throws it up because he knows no one can elevate higher than a wear on the basketball court. No one can even challenge him right now. After the catch, Caleb Martin does a fantastic job. He’s basically out of bounds. He’s behind the backboard. But unfortunately for Martin, he just can’t account for that wingspan. The other angle for this play is just ridiculous. And I think that’s a play that just showcases the Heat are doing a better job as the season goes on, getting Wear in his spots where he has advantages and things of that nature. They’re looking for him. They’re constantly looking to lob for him more often than the beginning of the season. And I think Wear is doing a better job getting in spots where they can throw it to him as well. And I think more than ever now, he’s just focused on the right things, getting up and down the court as quick as possible, always crashing the glass. I made a video on Tyler Hero yesterday. This new Heat offense, not many on ball screens, so spacing is very important. So, one of his key jobs is getting to the dunker spot and rotating to the correct spot to give the ball handler as much space as possible. But he’s got versatility as a big where he can be a floor spacer as well. Right now he’s shooting 2.6 three-pointers per game, 40%. I think last season he was a bit in love with being that flashy prospect. But now he’s really focused on the grit and grind dirty work. 11 freaking rebounds compared to 7.4 he averaged as a rookie. 1.8 offensive rebounds as a rookie. Now he’s averaging 3.4. You got to give him a ton of credit because early on it was just kind of looking like a sophomore slump type of season, but now he is a star in his role. Let me know if you agree. Leave your thoughts below. If you enjoyed, leave a like. It helps out a ton. Thank you very much.

shoutout udonis haslem…
Super talented dude. How did he go so late in the draft?!
Hes our superstar just watch Lets get it ware
The Kryptonian! I like Ware & he is very young @ 20 years old so he still has a ton of room to grow. Him, Jovic, Larsson, & JJJ will grow nicely w/ Herro going forward.
All you Jimmy Butler glazers owe us real HEAT fans an apology for the stupidity you were smacking after Pat Riley sent that toxic cancer packing to Golden State.
Franchise player
I don't hate the 76ers because of you Romp
2 weeks ago this man wasnโt playing every game consistently with effort. Hes now turned into easily one of the best rebounders in the NBA. His energy over the last 5 games has been incredible. Super happy for the young man ๐ฅ
He is not that guy lol he isnโt consistent heโs a decent starter but I can see in the playoff heโs not going to avg 18 none of the heat players will. You have to text motivate him nah not that guy
His game is similar to chris bosh
I want ware next off-season working out wit KG and KG only especially the midrange game and post up game if I'm ware but idk if ware is a real student I'm working with Al Jefferson also ask OG for his whole bag ๐๐๐๐

Future legend of heat.
no kyrie, no ad, no lively, no prob..! ๐ฅ you sure showed them, huh..?! ๐ Let's give it up for your๐ถ Miami…. Trraaasssh ๐๐๐
There are TWO Most IMPROVED Player candidates on the Heat: Ware and Jaquez.
As a heatlifer just enjoying theride
Ware could be the heat's next superstar after DWade. And probably the best center heat ever produce
The Haslem Effect.
His name is pronounced Kel – L . Not Kel EEEEL
It wasnt just Udonis, but Mourning. Alonzo especially has been working with Ware a lot lately, to bring a bit more of his game to Ware's toolset. You can literally see it on the court really. Zo knows Ware will likely be the 2nd best center the Heat have ever concertedly had aside from Shaq's short stint (which I dont count cuz Shaq wasnt a franchise player). Ware has a bit of Shaq's rim awareness, is what's scary. With Zo and Haslem giving him the gritty intangibles, yes, Ware could very well be The Guy in Miami.
What's further? Ware allows Bam to be the best forward on the court, skillwise. Hence their defense is top-ranked. With Tyler back, Herro doesnt need to always score either… he can use his touch-floaters to get Ware the ball after drawing the defense; or Tyler just takes insane high-percentage shots (in Herro's 1st game back he literally couldnt miss). Spo is spoiled this way and tbh, I say the Heat are the most compelling pure basketball team to watch this season. They dont need "superstars." They have 10 guys that can all play in any kind of offense or defense. Dont see how this can be stopped if they get it figured out.
Their problem? Which 'style' they should be w/o losing good defense. They almost have too many weapons and choices at this point. Powell, Bam, and Herro are all-stars, and you could add Jaquez, Ware, and Wiggins to that list easily. You COULD say the Heat could be one of the few teams to ever field a starting rotation of all all-stars if they keep this up. Ware, Powell, Herro, Bam, and Jaquez or Wiggins. For whatever reason, once again, the NBA+public is kinda sleeping on this fact.
ware runs like a slow point guard.
with that strides omg.
He reminds me of a little shorter but bigger wemby, dangerous combo
Ware just needs to be more consistent. He doesn't have that killer big man instinct.
Judging by all the thumbnails and titles, I'm wondering how many more problems the NBA can possibly have…
