  1. Some of y’all that have your whole days/weeks ruined by 1 loss out of 82 gotta work on emotional regulation, tbh. I can’t imagine how insane y’all go when your NFL team loses, at least that’s like 6% of the season instead of 1.

    It has to be exhausting.

  2. Team is on pace to win 60 games, the team is fine. Everyone is playing catch-up to okc it’s a long season and playoffs are about who is healthy at that moment.

  3. Without AG there’s no real rim protectors on this team outside of Pwat(and he obviously can’t guard bigs the way AG can). But Watson has to take CB’s usual assignments on the perimeter. That means most of their perimeter defenders(most of which are not particularly good) wear themselves out trying to keep guys out of the paint. This obviously doesn’t work great against certain teams or players.

Then they’re exhausted and start screwing up rotations. It gets worse in the fourth quarter largely because clutch turnovers mean the team has to get even more stops than usual.

A lot of this team’s good defensive stretches earlier in the year came from bench players like Jones and Watson bringing energy to the team when they needed it. That’s obviously no longer true with them now starting.

  4. Also cam Johnson’s turned a corner so has pwat, would rather see them find a grove and build confidence then having jokic carry through the first 18 games. Not even 25% of the way thru the szn y’all gotta chill

  5. woof i’m struggling with long term hope for this season. Strength of schedule has saved us so far this season but gosh.. the fellas just do not look interested when it actually counts. hopefully AG and CB can reintroduce some grit but gosh tonight looked like a weirdly pieced together team

  6. I won’t overreact to one game in November.

Having said that, two weeks ago I thought this team was different, and they might be when everyone is healthy, but when will that be?

In the meantime, they’ve lately lost games they shouldn’t have, just like recent Nuggets teams, and those games matter in the end when there are multiple.

They played tonight against a solid team, and they were (and will continue to be) short 2 starters. But they played at home, with rest, against a team also missing 2 starters, both of which mean more to their team than the ones the Nuggets are missing, and once again, despite having the best player in the world, they couldn’t close a game in the last few minutes.

That’s what, 3-4 already this season? It’s frustrating.

  7. Watch out Broncos

First Avs, now Nuggets, CU will likely get rolled….

Having lived in CO my whole life, when several of the big teams from various local sports all lose together or over the same weekend, I fucking swear it is a curse that extends to the Broncos as well

  8. In games where Jokic chooses (or has to be) passive on offense, can’t he put some more effort into defense? His effort was very apparent in the rockets game on both sides of the ball; and I know he can’t do *that* every game, but if he’s being passive on offense, that should leave some energy that could possibly be used on defense no? We saw in the playoffs last year that Jokic can compensate a bad/passive game with effort on defense. Like I said, obviously he doesn’t have to do it every game, but Jokic himself said that the team has to be better and that includes him. We def have to be better all around

  9. forgot how insufferable this sub is when we lose. they had 3 days off and played like shit we’ve seen this exact same thing happen over and over again for years. miss me with the flawed team shit we started the season 11-10 last year will less injuries

  10. All of these home losses are unacceptable. The Bulls, Sacramento, and an injury plagued Spurs team.

  11. Pretty certain they are going to trade Watson this year and sign Jones with the last roster spot.

  12. We got a bunch of bench players who are effectively playing double their usual minutes because of injuries. I have yet to see a reason to panic, especially because we’ll still have ~45 games once we’re back at full strength.

Does it suck to lose a close one to the Spurs when they don’t even have Wemby and Castle? Absolutely, but we’re not at the “all hope is lost” stage of the season, not by a long shot.

  13. Feels like this team wins and plays their best when Jokic sets the tone in the first quarter. If Jok gets 10-14 points in the first quarter, I’m always so much more confident but when he’s passive, the team seem more prone to worse defence and more turnover. When he was setting the tone in the first 15 games of the season, we were cruising.

  14. I’ve been shouting it from the rooftops for two years now: ever since we choked away the number 1 seed two years ago.. that game when we inexplicably blew a 20 point second half lead against this same Spurs team.. *no lead is safe with these guys*. I don’t know if it’s a certain rotation. I don’t know if it’s a bad defensive concept. I don’t know if it’s some sort of bizarre exploit in Jokic’s other wise flawless programming. But when you massage this team *just right*, they go *impossibly* cold.

The number one offense in the entire NBA scored three points in the final SIX fucking minutes of the 3rd quarter tonight. At home. Against a Spurs team that was missing Wemby. There’s no explanation for that, and yet it *keeps* happening to these guys. Over and over and over again. Coach Adelman has GOT to do what Malone couldn’t. He’s got to figure out what’s causing these bizarre collapses, or Denver is gonna get booted yet again this post season.

  15. Awww man. Checking in at the club to this shitty news? Boooo! Gonna go dance off this nonsense.

  16. We lost to the Spurs without Wemby AND Castle

This is an all time bad loss in the Jokic era.

    Pathetic and embarrassing

  17. The saddest part about the season so far is our cup cake schedule and the only good team we’ve played in Houston are without FVV

    Easiest schedule in the NBA.

Not even close to a top seeding

  18. I for one have not given up on this team, this franchise or this city.

We will prevail. We are the City of Denver and we will rise out of the ashes like a phoenix. Batman once said it’s always darkest before the dawn. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic will lead this team to victory and an NBA Championship.

    Go Nuggets!

  19. Ngl the thing I am most pissed about with this loss is the fact that we’re losing out on a Lakers matchup, and Thunder matchup AND a Knicks matchup (trust), just cuz we were too lazy to play actual defense

  20. Need another master class from Ben Tenzer to get Ayo Dosunmu from the Bulls. He’s probably the perfect backup point guard for the Nuggets.

Might have to give up PWat to get him though, which is a tough call.

Nuggets could also do with a veteran forward off the bench, unless Holmes is good enough to be a rotation player immediately

  21. I don’t think you can underestimate the impact of missing Gordon in the clutch. He single handedly won us at least 2 playoff games himself last season.

  22. Let us take a moment to appreciate that we don’t have to look at that nasty ass eye-searing red court again
