Sidney Crosby Hustles For Career Goal No. 640, Moves Into Tie For 15th All-Time
Jackets with points in six straight here on home ice. Donnie Novak in the direction of Crosby. Can he get there? He does and he scores. Sydney Crosby catches up to that puck and is able to bury it to tie the game up at three. I mean, it seems like there’s nothing going on. And this man is one of the best to play the game for a number of reasons, but this is a puck off the wall. Crosby, keep an eye on the one hand of the stick he makes here. Stays on side. He’s one of the best, if not the best, in the world with one hand on his stick right there. He pulls it back and then puts it under the arm of Jack Greavves. One hand, he reaches out and Greavves was into position there. Does he come out and get that puck or does he stay in? He decides to stay in the net and face Crosby and be prepared. But Crosby [Music]

87 has 640 goals. Next up is Brendan Shanahan at 656 goals.
I'm so grateful to have been a hockey fan for the past 26 years and had the opportunity to watch the likes of Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and Ryan Reaves
Crosby scores better goals than Ovechkin. Not all goals are equal. Ovechkin has more empty net and power play goals because to him quantity is more important than quality. That might be true but regular season goals aren't that important. Scoring a spectacular goal in The Stanley Cup playoffs or Olympic final is so much better.
It's amazing he stops like that without showing the goalie
Same commentary that used to glaze Crosby btw
With this goal, he's now tied with Dave Andreychuk on the all-time list.
Not bad for a guy who never considered himself a natural goal scorer.
Its crazy but Crosby would be / might be a top 5 goal scorer of all time, but is never spoken about in that context because 1. He's probably the 3rd best playmaker of all time and 2. His goal scoring has existed in Ovechkin's shadow since day 1.
Almost as good as John Scott.
