I mean i dont post in this sub and am perfectly fine with missing the playoffs. I will say its hard for my brain to wrap around this team looks better than anypoint last year yet cannot win. I blame trusting the defense more than they should. Offense should be score no matter what and hopefully defense causes some punts/turnovers
Our current woes are more of a warning to correct ourselves in the future by drafting better players and start replacing the out of prime ones gradually, and not to take a huge cap hit like many other teams have done. A rebuild was overdue anyway.
Honestly tho lol. I might get annoyed watching the game but Iām just chillin most the season this year. We arenāt going to win it every fucking year and the new fans donāt get that. We need to be thankful for fucks sake.
The Patriots dynasty was actually two smaller dynasties with a bit of retooling in between.
I think we all know this team is due for some retooling. (Frankly, last year’s team was clearly due for some retooling, even though it somehow made the Super Bowl.)
But it’s still a bit of a shock to see the magic stop working.
I don’t think anyone takes that for granted its just reactionary disappointment. Hapoene with anything you care about
I am so sick of crap like this. Past success doesnāt dictate the current outlook of the team.
The dolphins AND the Texans embarrassed the Bills in the past month, Iām grateful for that, Thankful even.
That’s called complacency. Fans would be livid if the players had this mentality so why should we?

Ask yourself this.
If you had a great 7 years at your job. Consistently getting bonuses, couple promotions respect of your colleagues. Then have a shit year primarily because you become stagnant and complacent and then were demoted and no bonus. Im pretty sure your boss & coworkers would be disappointed to say the least.
Yeah I always told myself that the success of the last few years were an anomaly and that there were gonna be some rough years in the Mahomes era. The annoying part though is this team by many metrics shouldn’t be this bad

lol. Right. We went we went 25 years without a playoff win. Now we got 3 rings. Itās all fān gravy for me right now. Itās a bummer, but grateful to have gotten To watch all these superbowl. Even got to go to Vegas to enjoy festivities for one of them. (Game tix never fell below $9k) had a blast.
This may not be the place for it but I think we’re seeing genuine parity in the league in a really exceptional way. Almost any team actually can beat most other teams. The rules of building a team are designed to prevent what we have somehow done. This is a regrouping year or two before making another run at a few super bowls.

Nothing makes me angrier than when people say āChiefs are wasting a year of Mahomesā prime.ā Like OP said, weāve made 7 straight AFC championships, made 5 super bowls, and won three. What more can you realistically ask for with your QBās prime, especially when you compare to his peers like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson who still have yet to even MAKE a Super Bowl.
i will be wholly satisfied with this season as long as it means some coaching staff shakeups. feels long overdue. some fresh blood would be nice.
yes iām mainly talking about Nagy and the WR coach getting the boot.
Not a chiefs fan, but I fw Mahomes heavily and I think that just shows how far yāall have come. When I was growing up, the bottom of the league was always KC, Detroit, STL, Oakland, TB etc. All those fanbases besides the raiders(lol) have expectations now and thatās great. Just shows the standards
I’m weirdly relaxed and kind of looking forward to a full teardown and rebuild.
New England did this and won 3 more.
My son is 17. He hasnāt experienced the chiefs I have, all he knows is winning. I try to explain to him that he has had it very good, there was a time where we got skunked in the division.
We should be thankful at one point we had Thigpin , croyle, Quinn as quarterbacks. I will take this year and many more then over those years. At least we all watched In Those day I was the only one that ever watched the chiefs game. Lifetime fan baby forever good and bad.
This is what I am saying. To go to the AFC championship game back to back with 1 superbowl appearance would feed so many other fan bases for ages. We have went to 7 straight with 5 SB appearances!
Our boys deserve a break. My grandparents never got to see our first Super Bowl win, so Its just being a blessing to see our dynasty form.
