people like Indians like me, right? Bring it up. Yeah. What’s this week been like with the DC change and what was reaction hearing Bowen was fired? I mean, it’s a weird business. It’s a weird business and you know, you know, he’s been around so in the defense. So, we’ve heard his voice and he’s so he’s talked different seeing him up front, you know, leading the whole group. But, I mean, it’s it’s been a it’s been a smooth transition, I guess you can say. uh he’s keeping it, you know, you’re not going outside of the box of anything else type of thing. So, I’m excited for the I like the game plan. I’m excited for it and ready to go. What was your reaction to Bowen getting fired? Uh, yeah. I mean, I don’t know. I don’t know. That’s what I’m going to say. I don’t I don’t know. I guess you got you have you don’t have to, but you have to do something. But I don’t know. I don’t know. you, we asked Andrew this when Daves got fired. Eventually, you guys are going to start over. Like, you’re going to start over with a new DC, you’re gonna start over with a new coach. You’ve done that now three or four times. Is there any part of you that feels like your prime years are going by and it’s starting from scratch too many times? Um, I wouldn’t say I wouldn’t I wouldn’t say I think like that. Um, it’s just more about, you know, what’s the plan and, you know, let’s attack the plan and let’s have a plan. Kind of talking about Charlie, what’s Charlie been like as a DC so far? Good. He’s uh, you know, he’s keeping it simple. He’s allowing, you know, the guys just to fly around and be players. You know, he he’s he’s teaching that aggressiveness, that that defensive swag that we should have. And um even with five games left, you know, just just playing playing with your all, playing for each other, you know, and and showing that you are not going to quit on your on your guys and, you know, just keep playing. The key word for CFKA since you took over has kind of been being aggressive, right? Aggressive, aggressive, aggressive. Is that sort of the vibe you get with Charlie and the approach kind of there? Same thing. Yeah, it’s all it’s all about being aggressive and um you know that’s what your mindset, that’s what you play, that’s how you your effort, everything physical and aggressive and that’s what a defense should be. You uh have told us all season like it wasn’t something you were dealing with all season. So this just aggravated it. It wasn’t like you were dealing with it all season. Isn’t that what I said? Yeah. Yeah. That’s what this doesn’t change. You don’t want No, it just aggravated something else in the elbow. Yeah. Mhm. Are they worried about being something you have to monitor moving forward? Like in regards to the elbow as a whole, you know what I mean? Like because it’s obviously the one you heard last year. Um I haven’t heard anything about that. No. Mm- just I went to practice today, practiced well. Um felt good even in the cold. Uh but yeah, it felt good. What’s your outlook for Monday night? What’s your outlook for playing on Monday night? Oh, I’m playing. Okay. Yeah, don’t worry about that. Was there ever a doubt like or you were just so was this was this sort of like the plan throughout the week to kind of get you to Monday? Yeah. Okay. You expect you’ll be limited again like like you were I don’t I don’t know the plan right now. Um like I said I went out there today felt good running around putting my hands on people so good. It might just be a figure of speech. Maybe it’s not. But Capka said you were almost in tears about not being able to play. It’s more of a figure of speech. But I assume it did hurt you to a degree, like emotionally hurt you to a degree. I I mean, not obviously I want to be on the field as one of the better players on the team. Um but that wasn’t the plan. Um in that moment, uh I mean, me and Dre was, you know, we had something good working and they they so happened to break it on the first play and um but that’s that’s just how the game goes sometimes. But I I love playing football and I be on the field when I can. Does it matter like run play, pass play like does it affect you more one way or the other? Um it just depend on who you playing that week. You know they were I just meant physically like does it what is it something that would bother you more pass that game? That game that’s why I wasn’t uh in on a lot of run plays. So in overtime if they got to a third down you would have gone in on third down in overtime. Yeah. Mhm.
