That Was Pathetic…..
So going into tonight, the New Orleans Pelicans were averaging 108 points per game. That’s the lowest in the league. They’re 27th in the NBA in offensive rating. They’re 28th in the league in field goal percentage, 25th in three-point percentage, dead last in the NBA and passing. You get the point. All right? They’re a horrible offensive team. And yet they scored 143 points on the Bulls tonight. They had their season average of 108 by the end of the third quarter. This was I I shouldn’t say was is one of the worst teams in the league. They were on a nine-game losing streak coming into the night. 215 on the season and the Bulls gave up 143 points to these guys. The Pelicans scored 78 points in the paint compared to the Bulls 44 outscored 78 to 44 points in the paint. Pelicans outrebounded the Bulls 55 to 33. They had 19 offensive rebounds, 30 second chance points. Once again, a common trend we’ve been seeing from this team these past few games. And the Pelicans had 23 points off the Bulls 17 turnovers. Absolutely inexcusable loss for the Bulls, especially after the poor outing they had against the Washington Wizards the other night where they were down most of that game and barely eaked out a win on their own home court against a team that had lost 13 games in a row. And look, I know the Bulls were short-handed. I know they were without Vuvich, who surprise surprise is actually a much bigger loss for the Bulls than most people think. not only for his veteran leadership and savviness on the court, but also for his presence in the paint and his ability to get easy points in the paint when you’re getting outscored 78 to 44. And then of course Isaac Aoro, who still has been out and is obviously your defensive anchor, Kevin Herder also out for this game. Like, yes, the Bulls are a bit banged up, but the Pelicans also had a long list of injuries, and even then, you’re talking about one of the worst teams in the league, a team that has been so bad on offense, and yet you gave up 143 points to these guys. We thought the Bulls defense was bad in the game against the Wizards. This was a whole new level of bad watching them get outworked on the glass, getting blown by on drives, and not being physical whatsoever on that end of the floor. It was pathetic. a pathetic display of effort on the defensive end, especially when you’re going up against a team that struggles offensively. How do you not come ready to play for a game like this? I know the Bulls have been playing a lot of games. I know they’ve been traveling a lot lately. And thank god the Bulls finally have a long break until Friday after Thanksgiving, but it’s still no excuse. This is a young team that needs to come out with energy, aggression, and physicality from the start of the game all the way to the end of it. No excuses. Like we all saw Vu calling out this team postgame after the win over the Wizards that they can’t keep doing this. This isn’t sustainable to come out and play like they have been playing soft. They don’t have the talent to be able to afford coming out flat and trying to come back in every game. And he’s right. It doesn’t matter that you start off the season 5 and0. It doesn’t matter that you were playing fast and looking like this fun new young, energetic team that is going to turn heads. You have to keep up that level of play for the whole season. There aren’t any nights that you can take off when you still have so much to prove as a team. What’s crazy about this game is that the Bulls, at least on offense, did decently well. Like they shot 52% from the field. They shot 40% from behind the arc, made 20 threes, 29 assists, 19 frburg points. By most standards, you think, okay, that should translate to a win. But the biggest difference maker in this game, and why the Bulls fell so short, and I know I keep beating this like a dead horse, but the Bulls once again got killed on the possession battle. The Pelicans got up 22 more shots than the Bulls did. That’s the biggest shot disparity they’ve had all season. 104 shot attempts to the Bulls 82. Like it doesn’t matter how efficient you are on offense. You’re not going to win the game when you let the opposing team get up 22 more shots than you did. You’re not going to win the game when your defense is so bad that you let the other team get 19 offensive rebounds and 30 second chance points. And that’s what concerns me the most because over the past week or so, we’ve seen the Bulls give up so many second chance points, so many offensive rebounds. It started in that Portland game where they gave up what, like 30 offensive rebounds, and it remained the case ever since where the Bulls cannot squeeze the rebounds. They’re not boxing out and showing zero physicality on that side of the ball. I mean, I like to say that hopefully this game is a wakeup call for the Bulls that they needed to just find within themselves to start playing harder and smacking teams from the jump, but that’s what I thought about the last game where they nearly lost to the lowly Wizards. I don’t know, maybe because they won that game, it didn’t necessitate some deep soulsearching on their end. Hopefully, a bad loss like this, their worst loss of the season so far. Yes, even worse than that near 40 point drubbing by the Heat. knock some sense into these guys because all that feel-good stuff at the beginning of the season, all that offensive creativity, the energy they were bringing every night, the resiliency in their play that somehow has fallen by the wayside. It’s like they’ve completely lost their identity overnight. Man, Kobe White and Josh Giddy, 10 turnovers between the both of them in this game. Kobe still scored 24 points, uh, but he has still struggled in the past few games shooting it from deep. Was three for 10 tonight from three. Uh, Iowa was really the only bright spot in this game. I mean, he has just been consistently a reliable, efficient scoreer on offense for the Bulls. I think I saw a stat thrown out during the game that I actually has the highest field goal percentage among all guards in the NBA at 55% and tonight he makes that even better, going 11 for 16 overall, most of his points coming off drives to the basket. He was two for four from three as well, four for five from the free throw line. But yeah, man. Outside of that, I can’t say there was really anything great from what we saw of this team in this game tonight. A bad loss on horrible defensive effort. A game that should have been chocked up as an easy win during this easy stretch of their schedule. All that hard work beating all those top teams in the league was for not if you can’t beat the teams you’re supposed to be beating. So yeah, I don’t know what else there is to say. Let me know what you guys thought of the game. Let me know in the comments. As always, be sure to subscribe and I will see you in the next

The Bulls doesnt learned. They should fire Billy a long time ago.
“Cmon! Be Happy Man” ……..this is what Vooch was talking about. Just embarrassing
Shows how bad we need a dawg for a center and how bad we need a new COACH. Billy is terrible.
Vooch’s words after the Wizards game were harsh, but very true. I hope his criticism can resonate with the team.
Feels like Vuc is the only C and looks very small without him
I think we need to revisit that “should we trade Coby” debate. Long term this is not working out. I don’t think you can afford to have this backcourt of Coby/Giddey be your long term solution.
Agree, pathetic performance.
Chicago bulls legend Jalen smith did not save us
The tank survives! 😊
I'm going to steal Sam Presti's "growth isn't linear". Only a few games since Coby's back. I know it's tempting to think it's over, but this season was always going to be an experiment for Chicago – let it play out. Nobody was expecting great things but quietly hopeful that things were moving in the right direction, and I think on the whole, things are moving in the right direction. There will always be regressions along the way, that's just how it is.
Fire Billy!
Past few games, Coby has been back…
Someone needs to send the players a couple of bags of concrete so they can harden the fuck up.
Pathetic, yes. Predictable, yes.
I said it once and will say it again, if we can't beat a TANKING team, then we should be the ones tanking, we won't get anything from losing in the play-in and it will only be a waste of valuable time.
One of the worst teams in the league having one of the worst starts in the league will always have good games to get back to their averages. The bulls sucked but even bad teams will hit shots some games. No centre sucked and was poorly coached as well.
You didn’t have paw pic to put.
Giddey is the reason we r above .500
Billy gotta go. we waited long enough…
The beginning of the season was a scam orchestrated by the nba to get the city of Chicago to buy CHSN.
Bulls just aren't good at defending the paint that's it that's all great at everything else. As soon as they get Zach Collins back it's over NBA look the f out.
When are the Bulls going to get some inside presence? Vooch is a power forward at best in this league. We have no genuine rim protectors.
Isn’t it the job of coaches to teach defense, boxing out, and motivating the players to never underestimate the opponent??
Coby’s gota go…
We basically lost to the two worst teams . We beat wizards by luck
I’ve been saying since before the season started, TRADE Coby white, do not waste getting in a bidding war or signing him to a massive extension. He is not the answer, pack him up for size in the front court/center position.
Donovan fail.
I have said it from the beginning with the Bulls, they are not a serious team. They let the acclaim get to their heads, they don't have the talent to not play desperate. So many teams in the East are waaay better than anyone thought, so if we don't get it together then we won't even make it into the play-in at all. But it is a generational draft this year.
Typical Billy D team. Defense wins championships. That will never change
Bulls have zero talent
This team started so hot, but damn are they trash. Nothing but brick 3 after brick 3, can’t rebound, can’t play any defense.
The Bulls need a asshole on their team. A guy like Pat Bev or something who will go into that locker room at halftime after giving up nearly 80 points to the Pels and just start calling the rest of the team a bunch of soft ass bitches. Vooch did it last game, but it's clear he's counting the days until his trade so he doesn't give a fuck. They need a hardass vet who will spend the next three days of practice following these losers around bitching at them for not rebounding.
THE PELICANS ARE BAD LOL 😂 HOW THIS HAPPENED?
143 points is crazy…. See red but, we gotta do better than this
FIRE THE COACH
The Pelicans are poorly coached and have extremely bad habits, but they are talented. They are desperate, too so they are probably going to play hard every night to overcome their shortcomings.
If you’re a team on a losing streak the bulls will give you a chance to win, our rim protection is ABYSMAL
I just watched the highlights and yes there were some bad moments on defense but honestly, the problem was the offense. Nobody was moving. Everyone standing around ball watching. A bunch of isolation, a couple of passes for a 3 point shot. 4 guys standing on the perimeter and 1 trying to grab the offensive rebound. No cuts to the basket. The Pelicans never had to move or scramble. Of course they're going to have the energy to blow the Bulls out of the water. The Bulls aren't shutting anyone down. Their defense has to be tiring teams out with constant motion on offense. If they don't do that, they're doomed.
imo one of the problems that affect us is our mentality this season, the young guys cannot beat a team lower than them but are happy with terrible wins against them. Where is the pride as a player that I and my teammates are talented and are better than the other team
LOL……..so what happened???? Look the NBA is a long long season. Look every team has a bad game. Some of you act like this is college basketball. But look this team problem is playing down to the competition. This problem has been going on for like 4 yrs. Is it going to change??? Relax. Long season……
Fire Billy, trade Vuc for picks/defensive BIGS not guards, trade some of our guards for picks/bigs as well. Like cmon this isn’t rocket science we are severely undersized with absolutely no defensive presence. So tired of watching this front office ruin this franchise
Donovan should have played olbrich, could have used his size to defend in the paint.
The nba product is disgusting
Why are You showing only three point shots?
Damn boring.
Literally the most boring shot in basketball.
#removeTheThreePointLine #RemoveStandingAroundALine #the3PointLineIsRuiningBasketball
Shitty video.
Another three point shooting competition.
Embarrassing & unwatchable.
This is not basketball.
So soft.
And no one speaks up.
Humiliating and inexcusable. Still pissed off about that. They had no business losing to New Orleans, a team that had only two wins in the win column until this game. The Bulls have got to get their act together, and soon!
