Unsurprising but I still believe in the boys to give us entertainment

  1. Without injuries maybe a C. I mean they added Evander Kane who didn’t play a single regulation game last season and didn’t get a 2C just to end up tanking

  2. Was going to say they are over rating us but I see that I was 7 min late to a thread posted 8 min ago.

  3. It was a season where everything needed to go right for them to be a bubble team. And they needed to somehow find a trade for a centre.

That said, it was the offseason prior where things went off the rails for the Canucks.

  4. Eh, fair I guess….

I do have to say that our injury situation has been overlooked a bit. People forgot that we’re missing the 2nd and 3rd line centers the entire year.

I mean I would give our coaching an F, and our GM an F, but I wouldn’t say that anyone’s underperformed

  5. That’s generous. It’s going to be a long time before Adam Foote gets another head coaching job.

  6. I dunno how you can blame the players tho?

Most injured team in the league. At times almost half the lineup was AHL players. We had, in theory, one of the best goalie tandems in the league, and we have two AHL goalies on the roster.

We had, on paper, a really strong d corps, but were worst in the league for goals against.

Some guys could score more, but the offence was always a concern.

I think an F for management is fair, but I think the players we have are doing “ok” but they simply do not have an NHL roster, never mind vying for a playoff spot.

  7. So basically “this is so bad I want to give you a zero but that’s not possible, so I give you a one”

  8. Management sucks. We all predicted everything that’s happened. Everything. Chytil, Demko and more. Give me a break. This management team has no clue. I’m starting to think Aquilinis can’t hire competent management. Or rather are paying cheap $$$ to do so.

Either way, now they want to tank and hope to get McKenna to come and save the day I assume. Big question is what happens with Quinn.

  9. Keep it going. No way we win a cup and it’s cup or tank. I choose tank. I’ll eat my words later.

  10. Management has moved at a glacial pace, and the owner lives in a dream world.

    Both deserve an F.

Garland, Hughes, EP40, and Sherwood have had flashes, but the D and PP have been putrid.

Just not big or fast enough to be classified a playoff team.
