This Changes EVERYTHING…
This changes everything for the New York Jets as we have a new report to go over regarding the team’s plans for the off season and what the Jets will be looking to do. While the team now has also found a future star, who is going to change a lot of what the Jets initial plans were going to be in an absolutely huge way. And we’re going to waste no time jumping right into things as usual, guys. But real quick before we do, if you are part of that 70% that’s not subscribed to Jets Digest, make sure to subscribe so you do not miss a single New York Jets update. We got videos coming out every single day that you do not want to miss out on regarding the New York Jets and everything that’s going on around him. If you do not want to miss a single Jets update, this is the best place on the internet to be for that. But with all that being said, let’s jump into it, guys. There is again a lot to talk about with the team because Darren Muji is proving that not only did he have an excellent trade deadline, but also now with all the everything going on, the training of Sauce Gardner, the acquisitions that the Jets got that actually have helped already and also just the way this team looks, there’s been a lot of questions surrounding what exactly is next when we look at this off seasonason. What are the Jets going to be doing? What is the team going to be doing? How are they going to be looking at certain things? How are they going to try to start building a winner and a winning team around these guys that are star players around the Garrett Wilsons of the team who you know clearly the Jets do have something right here specifically in regard to the wide receiver position and it’s interesting to go over that because recently Connor Hughes was asked about the wide receiver position and did say in my opinion when it seems very clear that the Jets are going to be drafting their quarterback of the future they’re presuming franchise passer. I prefer the idea of going out there and getting a savvy veteran to pair with Garrett Wilson to kind of complete this receiving group. And this receiving group would be completed with that wide receiver, with that veteran wide receiver because as Conor Rogers mentioned, it looks like the Jets found a number three slot receiver in John Mechi. And I’m so happy to see his NFL career finally taking off after the road he’s had. Now, Mchi not that long ago was a high up draft pick, and there were some questions about him. When he came to the Jets, it felt like a good deal for the Jets. I said at the time it was a robbery. Michael Carter was dealing with some back problems that did cause him to slow down a lot and go from being the NFL’s best slot corner to being an ineffective, inefficient slot corner, getting paid more money than really that than he should have been at that point just because again, it made sense at the time, but then the injury threw everything off. But the Jets also got back John Mechy in that deal. Mchi didn’t get a ton of playing time with the Eagles at all, and it felt like his career was on a downward turn. However, John Mechi had six receptions, 65 yards, and a touchdown in the most recent Jets game, showing that he absolutely can be their slot guy moving forwards. And that he is very talented at that position, that he is going to be able to do what John Mechi has shown with the Jets in limited reps already that he’s going to be good at. And I mean, we saw this. We saw some potential show up back when he was in Houston. And Mitchi, he only has appeared in or he’s appeared in 10 games this year, but he only has 14 receptions as he’s not getting a ton of reps. He does have two touchdowns now on the season and 131 yards. So, now that he’s on the Jets, his numbers are getting better. He’s getting opportunities to go out there and start to cook for the Jets, and he absolutely is doing that. Now, on top of that, it doesn’t mean he’s going to be their wide receiver, too. He is going to be their slot receiver, so the Jets have something there. And there’s obviously a slew of veteran options that are going to be available. The top one is Mike Evans. And there are questions on if his career will continue at this point. Evans has spent his entire career with the Buccaneers, has a Super Bowl to his name, and also is coming off of an injury where being 32 years old, it wouldn’t be shocking if this is it for Mike Evans. But at the same time, if he does opt to hit free agency and continue to play, a bunch of teams will be offering him a contract anyway because at the end of the day, he’s Mike Evans. It’s probably worth keeping him around, which whether you’re the Bucks because he is still great. And also for other teams that are looking at him, I imagine the Jets will take a healthy look at Mike Evans along with the rest of the guys on this list, seeing Christian Kirk, Debo Samuel, Jacobe Meyers. There’s guys out here who do make sense for this team to be a savvy veteran who is an above average talent for this team and will be able to give some serious help. Someone who the Jets don’t have to draft and then have a very young wide receiver court. The most experienced and oldest guy being Garrett Wilson. Instead, we’re then looking at a team that does have a veteran out there. And I do expect it would be one of those higher up level veterans that we would see the Jets really try to go after. I think Maris Brown also makes some sense as well as does Jawan Jennings. Both of them will probably get some looks by the Jets as well, but it’s not like there’s a ton of veteran receivers, but there are a good amount. And one that honestly does make a lot of sense to me because we’ve seen him help turn around a team before is Debo Samuel. Samuel left the 49ers and went off to the Washington Commanders and his numbers have went down. He’s no longer that number one receiver, but he does have five touchdowns on the year and still 470 receiving yards. Samuel also can run the ball. He has spent some time rushing, especially with the 49ers. And we know Aaron Glenn’s affinity for guys who could run, for having a lot of run plays being drawn up and ran for his team. And because of that, Debo Samuel does feel like he makes a lot of sense on a Jets roster. I mean, again, he’s got a rushing touchdown this year. He’s taken 11 rush attempts for 52 yards. We still see him do it with the Commanders, just a little bit less so because he’s not that incredible utility guy that he was with the Niners. His role has changed. It’s gotten smaller. The Jets would be able to offer Debo a bigger role while also paying him probably some good money so he could really help the Jets get things going so he could be this young guy who helps try to turn this other team around with the Jets. really looking at him as a guy like, “All right, we need a veteran in this room who’s just going to be good to be around, who’s got I mean, the man’s a winner. He’s a full-blown winner. Adding on winning talent, adding on winning mentality is always good. The Jets would they would benefit from that. This team is getting younger and younger with the trades that keep happening. And Samuel is not used to losing at the NFL level. So, when you put Debo Samuel, a guy who’s not used to losing at all, at this spot with the Jets, he makes a ton of sense for this team. I absolutely love the idea of this. Meanwhile, Mike Evans is someone who I think as well deserves a look just cuz he’s Mike Evans. Zero world where it happens. It’s more just like it’s interesting to look at the idea of it just because I mean only 14 receptions, 140 yards this year because again, got injured pretty fast. But when it comes down to it, I don’t think that Mike Evans would ever leave the Buccaneers at this point. It’d be really weird to see him in another uniform unless a team is paying him an absurd amount of money to continue his NFL career. I do think this will likely be it for Evans or he’ll try to do one more year where he could stay on the field and then probably retire after that. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Bucks sign into a one-year deal and he kind of announces his retirement, goes on a little retirement tour, which he does deserve. He’s Mike Evans. He’s the man. Absolutely rocks. Always will rock. Good for him. But on top of that, when we look at Meti, he’s someone who is so interesting because Aaron Glenn said he had an ACL. He fought a battle with an illness and he’s come back from all of those things. Success is in his future no matter what he does. I’m not surprised at the success he’s having right now. And Miy also helps the Jets because now they can go in there, sign a veteran wide receiver, also have Garrett Wilson, your franchise receiver, and a young receiver in Mechi who looks like there’s something seriously good about him that the Jets are going to continue to use. Right now, while Garrett Wilson is out for the Jets and not playing, there’s a good chance he doesn’t play another game this year. Mchi is going to be one of the top targets for this Jets team. We’re also going to see what AD Mitchell can do. And all of a sudden, paying a wide receiver, a veteran wide receiver who you want to use and a high usage might not be the best of ideas because of how AD Mitchell and John Mchi continue to play. However, those two guys continue to play is going to dictate a lot of what the Jets do in regards to their offense over the offseason and in free agency. They have a lot of money to work with, so I still wouldn’t be shocked if they go after someone. If I had to pick, I would love the idea of dbo Samuel personally. What do you think about this whole idea? Let me know in the comments down below. But it’s clear the Jets are going to be looking for a veteran wide receiver as well. Who do you want to see it be? Let me know in the comments. Like this video, subscribe, turn on post notifications. Have a great day. Go Jets.

Wait 'til next year actually looking good …..
Jennings is nice for a number 2
No on Deebo! Nope
How does ‘This’ change everything?
Nooooo Way On Mike Evens And Deebo Someone Else Will Be Available
Jets is so bad coach you can have a healthy 49ers roster and still be bad.
I have no idea, but I'm pumped. Please let the Jets win Lord.
We want Deebo what a man he is
Samuel or evans would suffer season ending injuries for jets week one
No on Deebo Samuel. That was so dumb I had to get off my TV & pickup my phone to tell you. And you made it even dumber by mentioning Mike Evans & Juann Jennings first! Those two suggestions are FAR SUPERIOR TO DEEBO. And the rubbing thing – Braelon Allen has been hurt- he’s every bit as good as Breece Hall! Terrible take and the other receiver they just got should be released… he can’t catch.
Dang Dude, Subscribe? Constructively – Why is every post "Massive," "Breaking," "Changes Everything," "Regarding," when not … Get your vernacular on point, tough listen as is now. Other successuful NYJ Podcasters or in general tell it like it is without tripping over their own words – without needless embelishment. I hope you get it together, when its easier on the ears, I'll def subscribe.
Deebo Samuels No Thanks & Mike Evans is old & beat up !
What I want the Jets to do is draft ! In today's NFL you need
7 stud guys on both sides of the ball. So, with all of that draft
Capital use it & don't be trading any of it away just to move up
or down! We need good players on both sides of the ball!
And now with what we now have to send it's time to build!
Type-O ( spend )
No…we dont need veteran players on this team especially those players…please. Let them play and let them develope. Get rid of Lizard, Stephens, and others who dont produce…the Jets always have the mentality of paying players who are declining…and pay them big bucks and dont produce. ENOUGH already…!
