POST-RAW | Kris Knoblauch 11.29.25
Chris, your team was perfect on the penalty kill. I’m wondering what stood out to you about that in, uh, the success that you guys found there. Well, uh, the, you know, special teams were outstanding tonight. Power play and pelling kill. The pelling kill, we had a lot of kills, especially early in the game and, um, lot of, um, just a lot of good reads. Uh, I thought everyone was on their toes. Any loose pucks, they were attacking and there were some chances. Of course, there was going to be some chances. And uh Stu made some big saves. Yeah. What did you think about the response from Stuart tonight? Really good. I thought, you know, it’s tough the other night, you know, giving up four goals and eight shots, but I’m not sure he could have had any of those the way that we played those in front of him. And tonight, he just let it all go. He didn’t uh worry about what had happened. Thought he had a couple of good days of practice. And yeah, just looked really calm, composed in the in the net tonight. Your team had a couple of good days, but afterwards you said we we’ll see on Saturday how that all pays off. Now that you’ve gone through Saturday, what do you think of those two days, Thursday and Friday, and how that helped tonight? Well, you definitely saw it early in the game. Uh I thought our energy, we had a lot of um a lot of jump. Um you know, we had a lot of good scoring chances early and that momentum kind of got taken away with the amount of penalty kills that we had. Um which usually having the penalty kill it’s have those kills it’s okay. Um but um you know you just take out certain guys that aren’t out there regular the Leonid Conor McDavids you know your top guys that aren’t killing uh you want them to have five on five time um let them do their thing. What did you think of the team um um noticing Mason Marchman after an early episode of you know bumping into Steuart Skinner? There was a hit on Donner and Luris. It seemed like everybody was sort of sticking together in regards to uh you know backing each other up. Yeah, absolutely. There was a um yeah, just uh little bit of a team identity um sticking to it. uh you know unfortunately but um yeah it was it was nice to see that energy and that excitement and u them doing things together. What about the timeliness of the scoring tonight? It was like you get a get a big kill and then you’d go back the other way and you’d get a critical goal. I mean how important is that in a game like that? Well in the game it’s so important. You hear about your your goalie making a big save at a key time and I thought Stu made those and we were able to respond and go back the other way and score. But probably the biggest thing was um just I guess the special teams being able to have those kills and then when we had our opportunities to score our guys uh came up and and and did that and five on three a big turning point for you in your mind? Yeah, I’m not sure what the score was nothing at that time I believe. um you know that’s a position that they can score one if not two goals in that situation with the power play time because it was a almost a full two-minute five on three and we had some key blocks you know that’s you know part of the reason why Hopkins is so important you know he had a big um he’s part of that kill um you know in on the power play goals so uh the special teams that definitely could have been a turning point and we were able to kill

Great coach. Let's go Oilers.ππ§‘π
Now thatβs the oilers we know. Hope they continue this momentum and can be the true turning point of the season!
Come people it's a game well played. Have ever seen this picture before. Okay let's see how well they can go. I loved the play of Conner Clattenburg and will be nice when it's time to come. The team showed what they can do I wonder how long this will last. Regardless I did enjoy the game.
Took way too many penalties. Need to be more disciplined.
Still really dont like the Nurse-Regula pairing, they cannot handle quick transition play against, Regula is just way too slow… i get that hes a right hand shot big guy but he suck. Probably the best games Kulak and Ekholm had all season, these two have been god awful. Clattenburg has been a good addition, the only guy on the team with some balls. Come playoff time, I do not believe this team has what it takes, not enough physicality throughout the whole lineup. Guys like Mcdavid and Draisaitl will get banged up as the playoff progresses
Excellent tonight , D flowed in lanes so Stu always can see the shot , best i seen in years great job.
Bouchard , Nurse great improvement to lane awareness and overall great job by all D pairs today
Forward cohesion and player > player heads up awareness and moving to open slot, very nice, great job.
Wingers coming bottom and top of circle support for D, but staying out of line of . very nice job good on the fly positioning awareness excellent .
Stu great job.
Centers great job flowing to your linemates creating nice goals .
Oilers teamwork was best i seen in months
Excellent job top to bottom . tactical practices very beneficial , keep this and i foresee great things ahead guys, very happy and impressed with improvements and player > player awareness was excellent
great team effort , be proud . we knew you can do that and more .
To media questions : WE CAME TO WIN, didn't we make that clear ? π
lol
Coach looks like he's being aged by his team lol.
I think the autograph session helped a lot of them to hear the cheers and screams when they came out.
I was at the Nurse table and he was surprisingly polite.
You beat a tired team, that should have been an easy 2 points.
Itβs the better teams, you guys canβt beat
Hope Henrique is ok
Go oil!
RNH – the difference maker
Kinda curious to see what Savoie would look like on the 2nd line with Drai and podz. Him and Mcdavid are play makers. They both prefer to set up than score goals. You put Savoie with Drai, I think magic could happen. McDavid, Roslovic, Hyman. Mangiapane with RNH on the 3rd line… Who knows, could be fun.
In any case, its nice to see that Stu is pretty good when the team in front of him plays 60 mins of quality hockey.
Y'all hear that?? …. That's the sound of haters and doubters being SILENCED ππ
Notice the usual commenters who are quiet tonight. Those people are FAKE FANS, 'cause they only have something to say when the team loses.
I am seriously so proud of the Oilers for stepping it up tonight. Too many penalties in the 1st for sure… Good thing Stuey is amazing and could get a shutout anyways π₯°
Proves what I've been saying: Our goalies are MORE than capable of stealing a game so long as the rest of our team plays decent defense!! LET'S GO, OILERS ππ§‘
F S Skinner
Nuge back, no one realizes his many defensive contributions
