Full Highlights | Maple Leafs vs. Penguins – Nov 29, 2025 (w/Joe Bowen)
[Music] Leafs are in Pittsburgh at the PPG Arena as they tangle with the Penguins coming off another heartbreaking loss the other night. Dennis Hildabbee’s record is uh 02 and one 3.37 goals against average as the puck is dropped and we’re underway. Penguins back in over the line into the right wing corner. It goes for Novak. He gets it around back of the net. Loose in front of the net is Banana and a chance there was knocked away along to the left wing boards and into the zone he goes. N looking for Matthews who went a little bit too far. Now N finds Oliver Ecman Larson far half boards centering pass didn’t break. Now out in front and they score. Oliver Ecman Larson on an attempted pass. Had it blocked but it comes right back to him. He steps out from the half wall and tucks it in for a one- nothing Toronto lead. Back-to- back games. The Leafs get the first break. In back-to- back games, it’s a defenseman that finds the back of the net. Morgan Riley last night, but does well to battle there, but he was out gunned. And then a big hit by Dakota Joshua. Flattens one of the Penguins. They battle for it. It is pushed to the side of the net and behind the goal and we get a whistle from the back official. But N has got to get an assist on that. Pittsburgh never had control of it. No. No. And they have a puck bounce into the net. I was just going to talk about how the Penguins power play was second in the NHL. Ben Kindle is going to get credit for this on a funny bounce in front of the net. Boy, that marginal call. Those are the ones that seem to burn you here as getting it off on the wing. Oliver Eman Larson in over the line for Tavvaris. He drives the net with a backhand and COVID was able to scoop that into the corner. Now the Leafs get it in front for Neander. A one-timer. They score. Cowan off the white side. A give it go with Willie and the Leafs restore a 2-1 lead. The Cowboy is hot. Second goal in three games. But boy to have Willie Knander back in the lineup. The puck is thrown out to the high slot by Cowan. And Knander winds up as if he’s going to one-time it from the middle of the ice. High slot. A pass over for N who failed to control and Stetcher has to go back to try and get to it but it comes into Latang closing in on goal pad save made by Hilderby centering pass and it was knocked away and the Leafs are going to get it to the line and out trying to play it ahead and he does and Malcin is in across the line on the left wing side. A shot by Malcin is fought off the chest by Hildy. Centering pass in front shot again knocked away by the blocker of Hillbe. Best save he’s made in the period. Center ice and now knander weaves back in fakes the shot. Goes around back of the net. Sanders in front. Chance there. Another chance as a loose puck came in front of the goal and Meyers couldn’t finish. Oliver Ecman Larson tried to find Doy, but it was broken up. Brought in over the line now by Heinen. Booking is going to be the call and I think it’s Doy get Oh. Oh, is it not Doy? Wow. It can’t be that really a marginal marginal call as a shot deflects in front of the Leaf Gold didn’t make it to the net and Oliver Ecman Larson is grabbed on. There’s going to be a penalty here and the Leafs are going to get a power play again using five forwards on this power play. Knander to Matthews and a one-time stop. Starts through neutral ice to the line. Cowan into the slot area. Lost it. Puck poked free. Breakaway chance. Pittsburgh in on goal. Lazard and a big save made by Hildabby. Played down into the Pittsburgh zone. McMahon carries back of the net. Drops it back to the point. Morgan Riley to the near side to Oel. Back to Riley. Wrist shot coming in traffic and they score. A deflection in front of the net. Was there with McMahon and they tip it home and it is a 3-1 Gerorado lead. I think McMahon might be the one, Joe, that got his stick on it. It looks like And the Leafs need more of that. Get traffic in front. McMahon sends it in over the line and into the corner. Got there to get it back at the net. Trying to push it out in front of the goal. There was Joshua. That didn’t work as it comes to the point. Wrist shot by Ster. Comes in front. Swinging shot scores. Joshua gets the rebound and rips it home. And it’s the underlings that are doing the scoring. And the Maple Leafs have opened up a 41 lead here in the second period. Seav’s breaking his stick as he goes into the Pittsburgh dressing room. He gets to the puck and gets it back to the point. Rust to the far side. A shot fought off by the blocker of Hildabby. That’s poked out at center ice and the Penguins break. Stcher trapped in over the line. Quinnon with a shot. Big save made there by Hildaby’s shoulder. Playing it back into the slot for Ryan Sheay. Shay goes around back of the net. Shay with it into the slot and a shot that deflects. Where is it? Underneath Hildabby. Poked out by Crosby after the fact. And that was kicked aside by Tristan Jarry. Matthews coming out of the corner. Dishes it back for Doy. Doi looks to find him and in front he did. Centering pass and that was knocked away. Oliver Ecman Larson crept in from the right point. Now we’ve get N. Wow. He just took a shot from Witherspoon. Sounds like from the crowd that the Leafs might be going on their second power play of the night. I mean this was spoon just grabbed him from the back of the jersey. Yeah, that’s got to be a roughing penalty, I would think. Pin on the fire. Half boards now. Back to Matthews. Matthews to Willie. Back to Matthews. There’s the one-time deflected right on. And that was stopped. Good save made by Jarry. He had a good chance to shoot the puck there. Got it back into the slot area. Down in on goal. Doy steals centered in front. They score. Second unit. And it is Nicholas Rua who gives the Leafs a 5 to one lead with a power play goal. Trying to come out with it. It comes back to the blue line. Leafs are able to poke it out and maybe an oddman rush here. Here’s a chance again for Joshua trying to work in on a backhand and he crashes into the goalender but a penalty is coming here to Pittsburgh. Dangerous pass there. Now down low from Cavaris to Knander to Matthews, but still no shot and no one really in a position to shoot it until Cowan wristed it away there. Robertson with time and space carries to center. Gets in over the line. A little spinning move. Tried to play it back into the slot. He does. Pavaris with a wrist shot and that was blockered to the line and in for Heinand to the left wing side and a shot pad save and a good one made there but a rebound in front of the net. Kindle set it wide to the goal stolen back by the Maple Leafs and a pass ahead for Knander. Twoon one with Tavvaris in for Tavaris and it was just off the heel of his stick and Ryan Shay for Pittsburgh gets it ahead for Rust. Brian Rust with a pass back off a stick into the corner. Nice. Loses it. Penguins down low. A backhand scores. Crosby on the doorstep. Took a couple of moves at it, but backhands it in and it is five to two. He did have control of it, but couldn’t get a hold of the bouncing puck. And through that, Sydney Crosby just stayed in front of the net. Well, the answer to that was no. Chipped along the boards by Witherspoon. Back behind the net. It comes free and a centering pass. Oh, and a chance Malcolin had. And he set it wide. But getting back in time was Philip Meyers. Played out at center and Doi has it again. Here’s Doi across the line dropping back for Matthews. Rishad scores. Austin Matthews snapping one off the top of the circle and the Maple Leafs restore the four-goal lead. And it’s good to see the big boy back on the board. And a great play by Max Stoi as well. It’s essentially a twoon two and a good outlet pass. It’s Matthew NY starts this out. Cowan couldn’t get it out. Pittsburgh around back of the Toronto goal. Working back to the point it comes and a wrist shot that was blocked there by Hildabby. Net and into the corner. Now a centering pass in front again. And this time a wrist shot taken there by Witherspoon was fought off by Hilddevby. Back to the point of drive. Hilddeby gets a left pad in front of that point shot off Carlson stick. He’s going to slide into the left wing corner after a loose puck and cycle it back of the net. Doy leaves for Matthews trying to get it in front and on the short side. He almost had he had Tristan Jarry looking the other way and Penguins get it out at center ice. A lead pass in on the left wing and a shot fought off by the glove of Hilderby off the stick of Lazot. 649 left to play in the third period. Stolen by a shot scores. Robertson steals the puck from the Pittsburgh defenseman. Steps in and snaps it home. And this one has really turned into a laugher. [Applause] Nick Robertson’s sixth goal of the season. Rolling puck in front of the Leaf goal and it is tipped to the far boards as Lton was knocked down and is slow to get back up. Leafs kind of standing around here a little bit in their own zone like we were talking about. And the centering pass is deflected up into the screen out of play off of Ma off uh and now we’ve got a bit of a fight with Melin throwing punches. That was Scotty Lton that came in late. He it started between Malcolin and McCabe and then Lton came in and maybe some old blood bad blood between the Flyers. Yeah, flyer Pittsburgh rivalry. We’ve seen that get a little nasty this year. Nothing. Well, we’ve got coming of it, but Mantha trying to escalate things here with that uh McCabe. McCabe. Yep. And the officials are in there. Some final tugging and shoving. We’re going to look. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Malcin comes in and drills him. Almost a head shot, right? Yeah. and and a bit of a slouch foot as well. And that’s why Lton went over and decided to have a word with Malcolin run out of real estate. Still has it on his stick. And now Stick handles his way to the blue line and kicks it out at center. Well, it’s going to be a trip. They’re giving Tavvaris a tripping penalty. And that will do it. The Maple Leafs score three in the second and add two more in the third and are going to bury the Penguins by a score of seven-2. Two.

Jelly my man always got all of us every time man keep it up. :)👍
So many good plays in this game! Great goal tending, the majority of the dry players stepping up and the defence was good. What else could you ask for??😊
Don't feel too good Leafs fans.. You got badly outplayed and probably didn't deserve to win
BUILD OFF THIS PLEASE LEAFS
10 beers in on a Leafs victory buddy! Wooooooooo! F'n A!
This was uploaded before my buddy texted me that the game was over. You're a freak, Jelly (affectionately)
When the Leafs are so good they have to pretend to be bad just to show their still amazing
youre yet more proof how utterly useless sportsnet is
Joe was so tongue tied when Robertson stole the puck LOL
Jelly! Why you so fast!??
Plan the parade
Robertson embarrassed them with that goal
I couldn't wait for this one Jelly! Thanks.
Love this channel as always! I was at a family function today/tonight and could't watch the game. Came here and got the perfect video recap! Great to see the Leafs finally win a great game after a huge slump. Let's hope this continues! GO LEAFS GO! Thank you @LeafsJellyHD! 😊❤
Joe rolled the R on Roy… but it’s not a hard r lol
Great game for Hildeby
Good win but if the leafs cant figure out how to play dirty we cant win a stanley cup. Playoff hockey is almost more about what you can get away with than skills recently, and leafs dont have the venom. Gotta elbow goalies in the back of the head, gotta slash ankles, thats what hockey is all about.
This was a good vibe!
Wow. The leafs shellacking the penguins.
That’s more like it about time we put a performance in, now if we can only get Tanev back he’s been out so long! We might have a shot at still making the playoffs for a record decade!
Can we all stop beating up on Hildeby now? That was a totally focused game from the Beast.
Perfect play by the leafs. Beautiful to watch.
If the goalies didn't crap the bed the leafs very well could have lost this game. I saw 2 NHL goals amd once again were outshot and gave up a ton of high chances
Just seen the Pens PPG so a Pens player holds a Leafs stick that’s a penalty now 🙄🤦♂️😤
One game at a time. One sweet, dominating, complete team effort road game at a time.
Fabulous game, fabulously called as usual by Joe Bowen!
Good game ! Leafs win big .
Thank you!!
Refs were such homers 🙄
Did we learn what Matthews's chronic issue is yet? Any solid (not rumour) news on this?
What a game from the 3rd line. exactly what you want to see from them
Can some one tell why we have refs in the game of hockey in tonights game they were making calls out thin air for one team and turning blind eye on calls for the other team pitts 1st goal looked like a high stick but they do not want to da any more work than what the pens are paying them to do. malkin should get atleast one game for the blindside elbow to Laughtons head then the refs had to jump in and protect malkin when Laughton wanted to talk about the cheap shot.
Refs with some weak calls
I’m not getting my hopes up as far as the Leafs go. The Pens didn’t play a good game again against the Leafs so let’s just see if the Leafs remember how to play in the next couple of games. Because this is hockey and you can’t get judged on just one game.
showing the lineups at the start is great work
Wow, The Penguins must be absolutely terrible to lose like that to the Leafs lol
How are your highlights so much better than the “official” ones and sportsnet? Seriously, great editing, replays in context and not just goals but hits and saves. Keep up the good work!
Fuck the penguins
That Crosby goal was so smooth and a nice feeling seeing Matthew’s pot in a classic wrister. These two goals seemed like old friends coming back for a visit and bringing a smile back in your life.
So much despair in my life recently these two simple things were such a fresh air.
Went 2-1 this week and it should've been 3-0 had we closed out the Caps. Need another strong effort next week.
P;ease. PLEASE. Keep Calle Jamkrok in the line up. He is by far the best lower six they have. But usually plays top six role….when he DOES PLAY.
Even the hapless Leafs get lucky every 5-6 games.
Feel good win.
Well wasn't that refreshing….
So there was a trade offer. Sidney Crosby was willing to lift his no trade clause to help the penguins. As a captain i believe that is the right thing to do. Anything you can do to help your team you do as a captain thats your job to do so. ok with that being said. leafs and pens had a trade on the table that would land sid the no longer kid to Toronto as a maple leaf. but in life nothing is free. Pens wanted Mathew knies, hildaby, a 1st rounder and minten. the leafs rejected the trade. my question to leafs nation is would you have made that trade?
Leafs mopped the floor with the penguins 😂 Even with the refs siding with another american team
Finally
