Sabres vs. Wild | NHL Highlights | November 29, 2025

Our Toyota puck drop gets us underway. Erikson
wins the draw for Minnesota. It’s the Erikson Baldi Johansson line against Paige Thompson who
has new look wingers tonight gives to Middleton now you’re off back for Capri off down the wall.
Capri off the wraparound and a skate save by Ellis. Sharp bangle. You get a skilled player like
Capri off nowadays they want to throw it short side high sometimes. You got to get a good hard
push across. He gets his toe over just in time. That’s harder than it than it looks on a
wraparound play. You got to square it up to Capri off. These teams have had a history
of playing tight games against each other. Here’s a loose puck and a save by Ellis.
Trenan had a great look from close range. Power sends it across and it trickles
through. Gustoson went just wide. Mloud with it high in the zone into the corner for
Tuck. Back to Mloud into the slot. Power fire. save Gustinson and the rebound favor his clearing
attempt hit trend up down in that middle bumper spot in the motion they create he just so
happens to end up in that slaughter which you don’t see a D end up in that area finds
that soft spot a little bit of time for there to clean that those rebounds up and bang him
in had an assist yesterday a chance from close range Gustinson right there to slam the door
the power play is where he’s going to get on a high quality touch. Capriov’s long shot held by
Ellis. Wrapped it off the wall to Eurovv. Eurovv fights by Thompson. Zukarella across to Capri
off. Capri off fired. Tried to go short side. Leaves it for Broaddin. His pass off target for
Middleton. Middleton able to knock it out of the air to keep the zone alive. Eurovv with it. Down
low. Zukarelloo trying to center. They score. curve through one more time
and it’s one zero Minnesota take a pass on wide ice and find your buddy
back door sitting all alone and tough to miss a 4×6 when you get set up right there right on a
platter and you got to finish that puck too down on one knee patent priest soft one-time
sometimes they flip over players sticks You have to finish him and he
has that ability whether it’s a rolling puck or it’s on his back
end or if it’s going off the field. Back to the point for power across and centers
and a sliding save by Gustoson. He stops Josh Dome from close range for the second time.
The wrap is now vulnerable. He labelled the position the reverse VH that was designed
to take the ice level shot away. Zucarelloo down low. Yurov trying to go between the legs
for Capriov. That was off target. The Sabres have numbers coming the other way. Malenstein
drops it back to Crumbs. A shot and they score. Yeah, it’s an innocent shot from outside the face
off. D that is possible but when you get four guys crashing the net you get an unfortunate bounce
off your own guy looks like Spurgeon’s tying up bubbles forward going to the net getting on the
inside he’s on the right side unfortunate bounce and hits him in the stomach and ends up carrying
him into the wild net that’s a tough shot for a goalender you get handcuffed right in the middle
of the body and can’t decide which side you’re going to steer the rebound and the rebound bounced
off the ice and up into the the chest of Don threw it down low. Got a tip from Tuck, but it
went over the top of the goal. Now Dene with a drive and Gustoson slides across to make the
save. Dene battling with Baldi. Diene now comes away with a puck. Tuck pounded by Baldi. Baldi
takes it away. Cuts to the slot. He scores. and think that he’s going upstairs all the time.
And again, it’s we talk about that low angle play. The Capri off has had at Dallas’s blocker side
twice. Now it’s from his glove side. As a goal, you got to play with the post and it’s hard with
balance and he’s he’s stuck on the post a little bit and it’s hard to go down into a full butterfly
and make that save. But you think back the goals that he scored and young goals. Hartman comes
to center for Minnesota into the Buffalo zone. Swings wide against power. Threw it off the pad of
Ellis. Now got it back. Fires. Glove save. Ellis. Favor. Back to Capri off. Fires
again. And a save by Ellis. Spurgeon to Johansson. Props to Baldi across
Erikson. A shot and a save by Ellis. You get to see that line get rewarded playing offensive zone
and two seam pass leaves a good chance back door. There’s another chance for
Minnesota. Baldi back paddles, fires, glove saved by Ellis. A wild changing
forwards as Begoian plays it off the boards and out. taken away by to Zukarelloo.
Uldren fires and a sliding save by Ellis. 10 seconds remaining in the
period. Cage Thompson fires over the course of the year. Save. The puck goes to the corner. able to
kick it ahead for Erikson at center. He holds off a Quinn check. Drags it to the slot.
Centers Johansson and a kick save by Ellis. Spurgeon with a sharp angle shot. Ellis stopped
that one and Zooker floats it off the center ice. Unable to create anything off the porch
and Broine had to race back. A centering pass. Tuck left alone in the slot and Dutch came out to
make the save. Here’s the first hit on Broaddin to which he referred. Yeah, it was an icing the
whole way and got centers. Ericson X redirect lines up wide. Baldi with a shot. It’s loose out
front. Ericson hammering away. A broken stick disrupting the play. Spencel strong against them.
A get a look here at the last power play chance a wild had gets behind Ellis and Ericson where he
scores a lot of his goals in the paint. That puck goes off the crossbar ends up bouncing down right
on the goal line. Goes over sticky gets a whack. Unfortunately his stick breaks as he’s getting
a stick on it. My supporting the play but now it squirts free to Sturm. Sturm has Trenion with him
at center. Twoon two into the Buffalo zone. Tren to Sturm on the back hand. And a save by Ellis.
And now sends it out to center. The bouncing puck controlled by Malenstein to Benson down the slot.
He centers and grabs denied by Gustoson. Get a look back at this big G save. Keeps his eyes over
it. Tracks it well all the way. What a nifty play by Batson to find Krebs back door. But even better
save by Gus. You can see leads with his right bag. Gets his blocker across as well. No room. Spurgeon
shot broken up by Timonss. Spurgeon then able to hold. Ericson act to Baldi down low. Tipped
by Johansson. We’re over the top of the goal. Spurgeon to Middleton into the slot. Baldi fires
and a pad save by Ellis. Trying to figure out the right core which we talked about earlier and
the right pieces that gets this team in the wing call more times than not. Had a good first year
in Buffalo last year. Here’s a chance for Don. going in on a save by Gustoson and they score. It
deflects in off of Zukarello. It took a strange carum after the save by Gustiffson. Comes on
a twoon two rush and one of the most fluent skaters in the NHL. Jones just catches an
edge and goes down and opens up that lane for Dome to get a better look. And Hartman then
collides with Ellis. He’s still slow to leave the zone at the other end. Buffalo gets a chance and
Gustiffson has to make a big stop on Malenstein. Holds off Byron then has it knocked off his stick
by Tuck. Favors back defensively. Tuck circles the wraparound and a save by Gustiffson.
The game tonight and Tuck gets that low angle play and now he feels like he’s got Gus
committed. leaves it to Bu. Had it stripped away by Mloud. Buffalo’s got a break the other
way. Quinn coming in and a save by Gustiffson. Stick handle it. Try to get through a guy
and turns it over and see Capri reach and maybe hook him and try to haul him down maybe
to take a penalty, not give up a breakaway, but Quinn ends up retrieving the
puck just inside the hash. And Gus Paige Thompson to shoot for Buffalo and he
scores. Thompson puts the Sabres in front and he’s a guy they you got to think he’s going
to shooter. That’s his weapon. His ability to reach the puck and use his reach. Did that
effectively beat Gus to the glove side. He scored the shootout winner yesterday.
He has a pair of overtime or shootout clinchers this year and he scores. That’ll
tie it. Will get that puck up. His eyes are up the whole way. Quick little fake back
hand. Quinn, the next shooter for Buffalo. And he scores. Go to tie it and extend. And they will send Alex Tuck,
the former Wild Draft pick, against Gustiffson. and he sends it wide.
We move on to round four. It’s an aggressive aggressive hole by Vladimir Teroseno, the
shooter for Minnesota and he sends it wide. And again, Buffalo has a chance to win
it. They’ll go Osland against Gustiffson. Oseland moves in back to the forehand. He scores
and Buffalo has ended Minnesota’s win streak with a shootout win. The wild streak comes to an
end for the Savers. Well, you talk about a Buffalo team that came in hungry. You get you
get beat 5 nothing the night before against a good Jersey team. But you look at the score
sheet and Buffalo, you know, they out playing.

  1. This Wild team never changes. Beat powerhouse Colorado in the SO in their last game, lose in the SO to Buffalo the next game. This gets old after you’ve watched it for about 15 years.

  2. Lame goals by Buffalo, both by pin-ball bounces, but…goals unfortunately don’t care how pretty they are. Credit to Buffalo though for closing in the SO. I miss seeing Marco in there on those.
