Moritz Seider Drops 🥊 Gloves 🥊 With Mark Kastelic

puts it down. Jammed against the wall and then knocked down hard by Edmonson and now out to center ice. Brought in by Casper. Watched by Callahan. Hits the brakes. Sodlam lost the puck. By the way, his brother in Chicago, the goalie, he pronounces his last name Solder Blum. Explain that one to me. Back of the net. Danielson who got denied on a breakaway chance earlier in the period. Sent it to the corner. Peak behind the play. Castelik wants to get it going with Cider. Castelick a couple of shots. Cider has him taken off his gloves now. Castle takes him off. Castle a right. Cider trying to time up. Castle a right. He’s driving him against the wall. Cider a right. Castle a right. Castle another right. Castle a right. Castle can right and he just crooled him and a put a charge in the garden late the first finishing your check and that’s what Castle does very well and he thought side came back at him a little high. So they just started exchanging one for one, one for one, one for one. And then they finally get the gloves off and the longer this fight went, the more it went in Castellix’s favor. The last one he just put him down with a vicious right hand. Boston 5 minutes each fighting. fans here at TD Garden. Just getting a chance to see the replay here on the video wall. Moider is a physical player. Doesn’t often fight. [Music] [Applause] That was his second career bout. He’s only been in the league five seasons. And he got a taste of the punishment that Mark Castler can dish out. Yeah. Know who you’re going up against. He was a willing combatant, you know.

  1. That is Kastelic’s MO. Jump people who don’t want to fight. He has Jeannot on his line to fight actual tough guys. Biggest POS in the League. Jumped Lilleberg last year with .1 seconds left in a game and proceeded to get his head pile-driven into the ice—as deserved.

  2. This is 100% on nepotism-loving incompetent Steve Yzerman, who never would've made it as long in the league as Seider has, if Yzerman didn't have bodyguards all over the roster every season he played. Keep in mind Simon Edvinsson was sucker-punched the other night by Ross Johnston and forced into trying to fight him. Why are our top two defensemen, young players with no hockey fighting background, being forced to fight cement-head heavyweights?

  3. Seider plays a physical game and likes/tries to intimidate… he’s a top defenseman… however, Kastelic isn’t someone who’s going to retreat when challenged …he’s going to go on the attack, especially against the other teams top defenseman. Seider needs to pick his spots better or be aware who’s he’s up against. Kastelic isn’t going to let anyone off the hook. It’s a men’s league.

  4. Steve Yzerman was protected by Probert, Kocur , and McCarty his whole career and the wings have no one who can really fight. Sure the game is different but it sure nice to have one guy on the bench who can drop the mitts and protect his young studs. Seider shouldn’t have to fight a bruins scrub!

  5. Pearl clutching over a 6’4” defenseman fighting a 4th liner. Please. This is the national hockey league, not your nephew’s JV high school

  6. I miss McCarty 😂 Also, why is it the refs didn’t immediately step in there, but when two players clearly want to drop the gloves they try to stop it lmao. Nice fight tho 👏

  7. Goon move by Kastelic tbh. He was trying to fight Seider all game. So Seider shoved him back and then made him pay for it. No reason that a star defenseman like Seider should be out for 5 minutes because of a 4th line goon.

  8. Goes after a non fighter. Another reason to fire Yzerman for not protecting his players. Where would Yzerman have been without Probert or Kocur and even McCarty. Poor excuse for a GM

  9. If Kastelic did this in Ottawa they probably wouldn't have traded him, great tilt, nice to see some passion, he was pretty lifeless in Ottawa

  10. Boston is dirty. They intentionally targeted wings' top d-man to take him out. Then the same neanderthal targeted ASP, ramming him into the boards at the Red Wings bench, intending to injure him. A dispensable Red Wing needs to take out Geekie in the next game. It's all fair play with dirty teams like Boston apparently.

  11. Seider is a joke. Skates around like a tough guy… then just gets fed. The guy is a TERRIBLE hockey player that only puts up "reasonable" stats because he plays 25min/night and they throw him on PP1 cuz the Wings haven't had a decent defenseman in a decade
