Vikings Roster Moves: McGlothern, Wolford Elevated. Pettine Won’t Coach on Sunday

[Music] What’s going on, Jeromes? As the Minnesota fine Vikings are set to head up to Seattle, take on the Seattle Seahawks and with Max Bros show at quarterback ski your mom. Vikings made a couple of roster moves and Pton Pence’s not going h anyways. So, the Vikings have elevated quarterback Dwight Nathan and quarterback John Wolford to the active rooster for tomorrow’s game. And Kevin McConn did talk about how Wolford was going to back up Max Brosman. JJ McCarthy is out with a concussion. Desmond Ritter signed to the practice squad mainly just as a practice body. All right. And the Vikings will have only two quarterbacks on Sunday. No emergency third quarterback. So Brosmer one, John Wolfford two. Cam Acres also on Seattle. I don’t know if something happens maybe we can trade for him in game. Who knows? Uh and Nudy. So you Dwight was originally on the 53. Just didn’t get a lot of run. And you know, Fabman Maro, the veteran, was the third quarterback above him with Jeff Cuda out with a concussion. Uh, but Nudie being called up. Um, I don’t know, like the Vikings could be being spread out by Sling and Sam Darl. Nudy also plays some good special teams as well. So, just go from there. Now, the the puzzling part is uh Pton. So, assistant head coach Mike Pton will not travel with the team to Seattle and will not coach in Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. Now, Pton, you know, has gone back and forth where he had been outside linebacker’s coach for the last couple years. Uh, but now he’s focusing on being Kevin McConnell’s uh aid and confidant. So, I don’t know. I I don’t know what’s going on. Uh, I’ve looked. Beat writers don’t seem to know anything. Don’t know if it’s like health related or performance related or whatever. But, Pton got love and respect for Mike Pton. I think he does things the right way. And of course, he crossed paths initially uh with Kevin Okonnell where Okonnell was jettisoned by the Patriots and Pent was the assistant uh regional manager. Basically, Rex Ryan’s right-hand man uh as DC of the Jets uh during that that stretch with like Sanchez and stuff, but they had great defenses, man. And then when Pentton got the Browns head coaching job, oh, lookie, here comes Hookie. Kevin McConnell’s first NFL position coaching job was with the Browns and Johnny Manzel and Josh Macau was also on that rooster. Just time’s a flat circle, man. But either way, whatever’s happened to Pton, um, you wish him the best and hopefully things get worked out. But I, uh, again, right now, you know, we’re searching for information. Doesn’t seem like there’s anything out there of, you know, why Pton’s not traveling and why he’s not coaching. So, I’m sure we’ll find out at some point. Anyways, your thoughts or thoughts.
