“They’re for Real!” – Rich Eisen on the Chicago Bears’ Statement Win over the Philadelphia Eagles
Well, how about those Chicago Bears? Talk about a difference a year makes. It was one year ago, maybe not the calendar year today, but it was the day after Thanksgiving, one year ago that the Chicago Bears told Mattie Refluse, “We’re done now.” So, you all remember how Thanksgiving ended in Detroit for the Bears where it was a massive fire drill at the end of the game. timeouts, clock management, brutal, and the Bears management decided to make a change at the coaching position. And we all know what happened after that. Ben Johnson arrives and then they start 0 and2. Not just 0 and2, but a a hard 0 and2 in division. 0 and2 in division, losing at home to Minnesota, having JJ McCarthy come back on him in the fourth quarter, and then going to Detroit and having a 50 burger popped on him. And all they’ve done is win nine of 10 since then and completely remake themselves, completely remake the NFC North and perhaps the NFC as a whole. I said a couple of weeks ago that I needed to see a full game from the Chicago Bears start to finish where they looked like the better team. That they were the ones dictating the action. They weren’t the ones pulling it out of their orifice at the end of the game in the fourth quarter. And for two straight weeks, home against the Pittsburgh Steelers now in Philadelphia, punking, that’s right, punking the defending NFC champs and Super Bowl champs in their house the day after Thanksgiving after Philadelphia takes a 21- nothing lead on the Cowboys and then blows it. The fact that the Bears go into Philadelphia and blow the doors open, maybe not on the scoreboard, but it did not feel like it was a one-sore game, onepoint game, one-sore game as it was all the way deep into the second half. The Bears 100% were the dominant team in Philadelphia on Friday. 281 rush yards, two 100yard running backs in Kyle Manangi and DeAndre Swift. As the Prime Video broadcast said, it’s the first time the Bears have had two 100yard rushers in a single game since 1985 when Walter Payton and Matt Suie did it for the eventual Super Bowlinning Champions of the World Chicago Bears. I got to tell you, I am very impressed what they have done. I I’m I’m u I’m now a believer. It did require for me over the last two weeks to see what they could do at home against a Steelers team that was beatable. And then going into Philadelphia was all bets are off. House money. They’re playing with they’re 8 and3. They’re 8 and3 when no one expects them to be. But clearly that’s not enough for Ben Johnson and the Bears. And Caleb Williams, I know he’s not the most accurate guy, but he’s not the one making the mistakes. He did have a screen pass picked off, which did appear to be the gamechanging moment after Philadelphia scored to make it 10-9, missing the extra point. Chicago gets the ball back, starts moving it down the field, and then all of a sudden, all of a sudden, what did we see? that picked off pass. And then on top of that, the Eagles move down the field, have a tush push in the red zone, and not only the Bears stop it, they turn Jaylen Herz over for the second time in the game. And what they did after that was a 12play 87yard drive that included nine runs. Nine runs. Just jammed it right down the field on the Eagles. flipped the script and came out with the win. So what happens now for the Chicago Bears is sit back, root for the Carolina Panthers because if the Panthers beat the Rams Sunday in Carolina, the Chicago Bears would go into the month of December as the one seed overall in the NFC. They would have a better conference record than the Los Angeles Rams. Give it up, man. Because Chicago now winning uh nine of 10, maintaining that lead over the Green Bay Packers. And on a weekend where we’re about to see Michigan and Ohio State play one another, arguably the best rivalry in any sport anywhere, certainly in college football. The number one rivalry in the National Football League is the Chicago Bears taking on the Green Bay Packers, which they do two out of the next three games. And it’s right there. The NFC North is there for whoever sweeps this series. And the Bears can absolutely do it. So can the Packers certainly the way that they played in Detroit on Thanksgiving. But kudos to the Chicago Bears, man. Ladies and gentlemen, they are for real. That throw Caleb Williams threw to Cole KT to essentially end the game. Rolling to his left. Rolling to his left. Throwing against the green. Flipping it into the end zone perfectly for that touchdown to put the Bears up by two scores. Not settling for a field goal to keep this thing in doubt, but essentially calling game on the defending Super Bowl champs in their house in front of their angry fans booing left and right. That’s exactly why Caleb Williams was the first overall pick. That’s exactly why Caleb Williams had the comparisons to Patrick Mahomes. That’s why Caleb Williams won the Heisman Trophy. That was the play right there in which to use the phrase in the movies of a diehard Bears fan Vince Vaughn. He groansed up. He got all growned up and grown up and grown up. Unbelievable stuff. Congratulations Bears fans. You got a lot to believe in. And they’re for real. They are in the mix. They’re in the mix in the NFC North leading it. and they are in the mix for the one seed coming out of Philadelphia. As for the Eagles, I’ll make another video. Stand by. Hey, you made it all the way to the end. Thanks for that. Check us out every single day streaming live on Disney Plus and the ESPN app 12 to 3 Eastern.

Coaching Maters, best money to spend
They have to go 2/3 with Detroit and Green Bay, not believing anything until that happens.
The Bears will now win out and have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. 14-3. Book it.
Bears
Bears fan for over 40 years. The Bears are better, but beating the Eagles, in their current form, is getting a bit over hyped. Let’s temper expectations, even though mine will likely be exceeded, as I thought 10 wins was doable. I’m just excited about the shift in commitment and culture shift from the entire organization and especially for long time fans.
That's my team baby!!
The only Swift I want to see at Sup'r Bowl LX is D'Andre Swift.
The bears just imposed their will on the reigning Super Bowl champs. On national TV too. Can we finally get some respect?!?! Ran all over their defense with Caleb only completing 47% of his passes. Imagine what happens when Caleb starts playing better and hitting his stride
I'm a Rams fan and the bears have me looking over my shoulder
what barkley say when he was on that deer for little ceaser's… the real deal.
Damn! First the cowgirls now da bearsss!? She gulls suck! 🤣
I’ve waited my whole 29 years on this earth (aside from 2006)to say this legitimately: DA Bears
Walk in your trap, take over your trap 🐻⬇️
Thank you Ben Johnson for saving the Bears! We are eternally grateful
The Eagles never recovered from given up that lead against Dallas and losing. The Bears are the real deal and I saw a sleeping Giant last yr with the Bears, they simply needed the right coach !!
That's crap. CHI is mid. PHI is washed.
🐻⬇️
They’re not here to start no trouble – they just here to do the Super Bowl shuffle.
I think the Eagles beat themselves.
Anyone else notice how the Bears and Commanders had similar seasons, based on who beat who? Last year the commanders won on that Hail Mary, then proceeded to win 8 out of the next 10, some of them close then went deep into the playoffs. The bears lost their next 10. This seasons, bears win a close one against Washington and now they are in prime position to win the NFC. Just an interesting storyline. Big non divisional rivalry brewing
To all my Bears Brothers, Rejoice! This year has vibes of 2006, let us enjoy the ride. God bless Calib, and Ben!
I’m a Bears fan but I think Vrabel should get it because I knew the Bears would be better but I didn’t see New England doing this.
And I hate brad Holmes for trading in the division
I have not seen the Bears dominate a game like that since the '86 Super Bowl season. Like you said, the score does not reflect the level of domination. I was not a believer either until the last two weeks. They did that while Caleb Williams did not even play well. The Bears weaknesses are Caleb Williams' accuracy, the D Line, and the linebacking group. Those aren't even terrible weaknesses. Good things are on the horizon for the Bears and their fans.
Da bears are on a mission
I love how honest and transparent you are.
Simple as that brother you owned up to not believing at first and now you believe that’s what you call a MAN
They would’ve had more wins last year, but bad coaching lost those games. Everyone looks at wins and loses, but never looked at the wins the team should’ve had, if not for the oc and the head coach.
Watching Williams last year .I thought he was .solid ..
This feels like the start of a legacy. Holy cow.
The Bears offensive line pulverized the Eagles all day. It was almost surreal to watch.
wish you were still on Roku Rich
Good, Better, Best, never let it rest!
I think the bears have the packers pegged
The Bears have won the last three games with half of their defensive starters hurt. Kudos to the replacements and the coaches.
The bears have been dominating time of possession
lint roll that mic dude
GB will beat them but I'm loving my Bears! Fun to win even if we don't make the playoffs.
DA BEARS
And you gotta give kudos to Caleb for his solid tackle after the interception.
The smart take would be that they still need to prove it lol
Let’s not jinx it! Our schedule coming up will be the true test.
Nice Vince Vaughn quote from Swingers!
As a birds 🦅 fan I can appreciate the under dog story of the bears. Great win yesterday. Teams think they’re a fluke but that running game is forreal.
God Bless the O-line , keep them healthy and hungry !
Of coarse we’d like to see complete games and have killer instinct to put teams away earlier in the second. They get conservative and Caleb misses some throws but a lot of these games are dominated by the bears
Tush push is vulnerable to fumble… in Canada they bring in a running qb 3:53
Who TF is that on Rich's jacket? I sure hope it's Johnny Carson …..🤐🤔
If this team makes the playoffs, how does Ben Johnson NOT win CotY?
That was embarrassing, they ran the same play over and OVER,,,and over AGAIN!!!, i never seen anything like it😮😮😮
