We are getting utterly destroyed at the line of scrimmage the past 4 weeks. Jaylon Moore has been getting wrecked. Mike Caliendo is one of the worst Guards in the NFL. Wanya Morris got murked against the Cowboys. Josh Simmons is done for the year so now Mahomes blind side is compromised.
Karlaftis looks like an overpaid, mediocre EDGE Rusher. Jones is still our best Defensive Lineman, but is showing signs of age. Gillotte is a short armed rotational player.
Hard to believe how bad the OL and DL have gotten since Veach took over. Dorsey built the trenches and Veach has let them go to waste.
Josh Simmons with a club for an arm is still a better option than Wanya. I wonder if they’d even consider letting him play in a cast. Obviously don’t expect anyone to play injured, but it seems like it would be in the realm of possibilities.
Time for a Redzone hate watch day, boys and girls.
Aside from what is going wrong for the Chiefs and who is accountable — because people seem to bitterly disagree over this — where do people think change is most likely to come from? If the team misses the playoffs (I am still holding out hope but damn those O-line injuries will make it hard), what do you think we will actually see in terms of adjustments, changes, etc? Most other teams offer ceremonial sacrifices. Bengals last year fired their best coach, Lou Anarumo, when really it was just a personnel/resource issue on defense. If we miss the playoffs, I can’t imagine the team just quietly runs back the same staff (whether a firing is deserved or not). I guess this is a question about what accountability might look like.

Some of the lowest pass blocking grades I’ve ever seen — against a not especially dominant Dallas d-line. These three guys are very likely to start against Houston.
Pessimists vs. optimists:
