NOTHINGBURGER from the Rangers. Team sleepwalks through 60 minutes and gets what it deserves…

All right, so just an absolute nothing burger of a 4 to1 loss by the Rangers against Tampa Bay. A game in which there was never really any reason to be hopeful. There was never really any reason to be optimistic. The Rangers simply didn’t provide it to any of us. And a game in which the Rangers failed to take advantage of something that kind of fell into their lap. That being of course the very simple fact that Andre Vasilki was not playing in this game, but honestly it didn’t even matter. Um, they got the one goal, but they were outsh shot by such a wide degree and out chance by such a wide degree that honestly I feel like probably an ECHL goalie would have very very easily been able to to shut this one down for Tampa Bay, shut down the Rangers and uh get this win. It just wasn’t good enough. Uh, you know, they’d won three in a row. They obviously did some good things during that time, but they were flat in this one. I know it’s their fourth game in the last six days. That’s the one, you know, little inkling that I have of to maybe cut this team a little bit of slack, but you know what? It was Tampa’s fourth game in the last six days, too. And ultimately, they were the better team in just about every aspect. The Rangers just never matched them in terms of intensity or urgency or any kind of pace of play or anything like that. So, not good enough. Going to talk about in the next episode of Locked on New York Rangers. Do not miss it.

  1. We understand a loss after a back to back game especially against a hot Lightning team.
But 11 shots on a back up goalie and letting Hagel injure Fox without payback. This fraudulent team has no spine. Fire Drury now and rebuild.

  2. That was miserable. Sadly, not surprising.

I hope they ask J.T. Miller what his thoughts are on being out-shot by such a wide margin. See if he's concerned now, where he wasn't against Carolina. Pathetic. Almost set a record for fewest shots in a game, Ranger history.

  3. P.S.
I hope I never have to listen to Kevin Weeks call another Ranger game. Just call the f'ing game as it's played. The praise for TBL by the booth was repulsive.
