Instant Reaction To The Phoenix Suns LOSING To The Denver Nuggets πŸ€ #nba #phoenixsuns #devinbooker

The Phoenix Suns lose their second straight game, this time to the Denver Nuggets 130 to 112. Let’s talk about it. If your instant reaction to this game is that the Phoenix Suns aren’t as good as we once thought, or after a couple of weeks, maybe they’re just coming down to earth, I would tell you that that’s the wrong way to look at this. Instead, you should look at it as the Denver Nuggets are just a really good basketball team and in my opinion, the best team in the Western Conference right now. And the Suns, the only thing you really learned over this 0 and2 skid against the two best teams in the Western Conference is that the Phoenix Suns aren’t in that tier. They’re not in the tier of the Rockets or the Nuggets or the Oklahoma City Thunder. And none of us thought they were going to be. So, it’s not that big of a deal. I think the Suns just did a really poor job tonight getting out on shooters. Often times when the Denver Nuggets would come up the floor and Nicole Joic was ball handling or was coming up for a high screen and roll, the Suns would switch it every time. The Suns would give it to them. And Nicole Joic would oftent times have Kong Gillespie or Nigel Hayes Davis on him and he would either go down the go down the low post and feast or he’d be forced to kick it out to a wideopen shooter because the Suns would come and double team him. So, I think it says more about the Denver Nuggets offense that is just a welloiled machine right now and not much about the Suns just aren’t a good team when in reality we know they are. They’re just maybe not to the tier of those elite teams like Oklahoma, like the Rockets, like the Denver Nuggets tonight. But here’s what I will say in the bad parts, guys. This team is not going to go very far if Colin Gillespie is their best player. Colin Gillespie has been a revolution. That is a compliment to Colin Gillespie, but also sort of a diss at the Phoenix Suns. Devin Booker has to be better. And people will tell me, well, Devin Booker, you know, had 20 points tonight. He didn’t shoot horribly from the field. And and I’ll tell fans, you didn’t watch the game. Devin Booker was largely uneffective outside of a couple of garbage time buckets to help, you know, the statistics look a little better. That’s not what he was trying to do. He’s just trying to get buckets up. Booker’s got to be better, man. Booker has to be a more efficient scorer and has to be the engine of this offense. Not Dylan Brooks, not Colin Gillespie. And it can’t keep happening. It really can’t keep happening. He will snap out of it. He’s still playing really well as a playmaker, making the right pass, the right assist, but as a shot maker, this team goes as Devin Booker goes. And he didn’t play well tonight offensively speaking. And so the Suns lost. And I think he’ll get it figured out. It’s just a matter of time.

  1. I like Devin but Honestly if book would have played like a max player we would’ve beat OKC last night. He has to be the best player for us to be a contender.

  2. ENOUGH. This team ain't doing a damn thing until these soft bums return from the I.L. Frustrating already. We're NOT ready for the big time if these soft pieces of trash keep missing time.

  3. Great take, I mean Booker played good, I don't want to say great but he played solid. What a lot of people are forgetting is Jalen green is on the bench and Mark Williams was on the bench. So I mean they played good like Ben is saying but I mean Denver is tough and Jokic is a one-of-a-kind no one is going to stop that. Book will get there and continue to improve as the overall leader of the team and the others will get healthy and will mesh, but this team is tough and exciting.

  4. The problem is Jalen Green, When that dude was in Houston he was healthy as a baby boy and now he's in Phoenix he's hurt we need a elite player not someone is homesick and he's with that old chick…We ain't gonna win shit!, Let's face it

  5. I'm born and raised in Phoenix, We're not going to make it, Plain and simple, The Mercury will get a championship again before them and that's a damn shame them ladies are good as them

  6. This is a good take. Additionally, not sure we know how good this team can be until JG and Dunn are both healthy and fully integrated. That’s a lot of scoring and defense in street clothes. Maybe Book improves when they are back? πŸ€”
