Had quite the day yesterday. Went to the New York/Tampa Bay matinée game at the Garden with my Rangers fans wife rocking my reverse retro Vasey storm jersey. Took the NJ transit into Penn station. Riding the train back, we see a couple devils fans. I ask if they’re coming from the game, and they tell me they’re going to the game. What I didn’t realize was that the devils and flyers were playing at Prudential in about 2 hours. They tell us we should buy tickets to the game because fuck it, right? Newark Penn station was the next stop so I didn’t have long to decide. By the time the train arrived at the station, I had the tickets confirmed and after a 5 minute walk, was standing in front of the Prudential center surrounded by red and orange jerseys getting lots of confused looks. Not how we expected the night to go but certainly worth it for the story we can tell now ⚡️

  1. I’ve done many, many two site sports doubleheaders* (and even two or three tripleheaders), but never an NHL doubleheader. Well done.

*My most recent sports doubleheader or actually tripleheader was also yesterday (Saturday 11/29). I attended a college basketball doubleheader in Easton, PA (Monmouth/LeMoyne and Ball State/Lafayette) then drove 20 miles west to Allentown and went to the Laval/Lehigh Valley AHL game.

  2. Haha! I was at the Devils game yesterday. An awesome time it was – not only because we won what was an entertaining game, but because The Rock was a really neat venue in general.

And don’t worry about the weird looks – I saw the Lightning stadium in 2022 in their last regular season game and it was fun too 😅

  3. Isles fan here 👋🏾

Seeing all four of these teams play in one day would be torture for me. I’d probably have the least amount of beef with the Devils.

Pretty dope how it worked it for you though! 😁

  4. Yo were you the guy in that sick Andrei Vasilevskiy jersey? I had a double header yesterday too, sirens/devils, I wish the devils could have won but it was a great time regardless.

  5. Noice;) Which one did you like better, MSG Garden or Prudential Center stadiums?

I go to both but prefer the Prudential, just more spacious and better pregame show, I think…
