Imagine what it would be if he was allowed to actually play an entire 4th quarter? While I like TI’s offense, I don’t quite understand the minutes strategy that pulls the player when he’s in the groove and the replacement hasn’t had a decent game in recent memory. Minute restrictions for injury/injury prevention is not what I’m talking about.
Watching him defend against Harden last game was awesome, you can tell how much NBA-level ball knowledge he’s retained in such a short time when it comes to defending guys that hunt those ticky-tack fouls. I don’t think he got foul-baited a single time while staying right on him. Harden hit a couple shots, sure, but he does that with everyone. Hope Wells gets better and better
Man, Wells-Coward-VWJ is such a baller POA wing defender rotation. Just missing a Dillon Brooks type right now
There is a reason he played so much last year and continued to start despite that terrible slump. He is working on diversifying his offensive game but he is a much better defender than anyone knew going into the draft.
