It’s truly remarkable, isn’t it? I mean, is it not just freaking remarkable? Look at it. Just just just take a minute to look at it. Isn’t it beautiful? 9 and3. The Rams fall to the Carolina Panthers 31-28. You know, I’ve been hard on Bryce Young. That was one of the better games I’ve seen him play. What a time it comes to, not only for Carolina, but for the Bears. Panthers kind of keep their hopes alive and for the Bears sake and for our sake. Jumps us up in the NFC to 9 and three. The Bears have the tiebreaker over the Rams due to a better conference record and Chicago controls its own destiny. Absolutely unbelievable. You cannot put into words what Ben Johnson has done overnight. I mean, I did a video like five weeks ago our lives and the Bears haven’t lost since. It just keeps getting better. It keeps getting better. I mean, it’s just it’s unreal. This team is vibing. This team is rolling. They can win in different ways. They’ve won five in a row. Ben Johnson has a four-ame winning streak. He has a five-game winning streak. The prior head coach only had one three-game winning streak. And he followed that up by losing 10 in a row and getting fired. What a time to be a Bears fan. And what a time to be alive. And now we enter the month of December with the stakes extremely high. And who am I to say to not dream big? You know, we did a overreaction Saturday episode yesterday and the first topic was, “Are the Bears Super Bowl contenders?” I said, “Two smoking Jays?” People were talking. I don’t see why Bears fans shouldn’t at least think it’s possible. I mean, I I’ve said for weeks, the Rams look like the best team in the NFC. They just gave up 31 points to Bryce Young, who could barely complete a pass last week. Who knows? It’s wide open. And the Bears are on top of the conference. a deep NFC right now with five weeks to go. It’s incredible. Now you got the Packers twice in three weeks with the Browns in between and the 49ers handled the Browns in Cleveland. So if the Bears just play a B minus game, they should win that game at San Francisco and then Detroit. None of these are layups, even though Cleveland at home should be a win you should get. But let’s assume you win that one. If you split Green Bay, beat Cleveland at home, that’s two wins, and then split your final two, that’s three and two, that would get you to 12 and five. I don’t know if that’s the number one seed, but pretty good chance that’s the division. Um, if you go 4- one, I think you’re for sure winning the division and pretty good chance you’re winning the NFC as well. And I think four- one’s possible. You got to win two out of three, Green Bay and Detroit, and then you got to beat San Francisco on the road. Not going to be easy. Not going to be easy. And we’re we’re focused on the here and now. I got the Packers uh coming up in Lambo this week. Another opportunity to make a statement and to separate yourself a little bit before you come home, play the Browns, and then gear up for the Packers again. But just enjoy it for a second. You know, tomorrow we’ll talk about the Packers. Got a full preview coming up. We’ll do a joint preview later in the week, but like for the rest of today, this Sunday, as you watch the afternoon games, hopefully the Vikings can beat the Seahawks. As you watch Sunday Night Football tonight, just take a breath, sip whatever you’re sipping, and just say, “Man, this is fun. This is really, really fun right now. Enjoy it, Bears fans. It has been miserable for years. Years. You’ve already guaranteed a winning season. You’re nine and three. Now it’s about chasing more. How far can this team go? I’m not putting a ceiling on this team anymore. I’m not putting a lid on this team anymore. I’m not saying it’s Super Bowl or bust. That would be ridiculous. But I’m no longer saying it’s an impossibility. It is possible. This team can win the NFC North. This team can get the number one seed in the NFC. This team can win the NFC. And who am I to say that they couldn’t go to a Super Bowl and win one? It feels like one of those years in the NFL. There’s no true dominant team. But the Bears have dominant components. They have a dominant offensive line, especially in the running game. They have two running backs they can lean on. They have two excellent coaches on e their side each of their side of the football. They’re getting healthier. In theory, they should get even healthier with Tmaine Edmonds and TJ Edwards coming back. Tmaine’s going to miss at least two more weeks, but if he can get both of those guys back, Jaylen Johnson and Kyler Gordon just reentered the fold. Caleb Williams still a little inconsistent, but he’s a clutch performer. If he can continue to get better, why can’t the Bears make a run? Why can’t the Bears make a run? It is good to be right. Okay, so we mentioned briefly the remaining games. Obviously got the Packers twice, Cleveland, San Francisco, and Detroit. Thought the Niners played pretty well today, handling uh kind of a feisty Cleveland team. So, uh that was pretty impressive. Uh despite the injuries they have, they continue to kind of plug away. And with Carolina losing, they caught a break as well. They’re only a half game back of the Rams in the NFC West. The Niners now have their by-week and then they get ready uh for their final four games, including the Bears in week 17. Uh but let’s face it, these two games against the Packers are massive. Not only for the division, not only uh for the NFC, but potentially for the number one seed. If one of these two teams sweeps the other, if the Bears sweep the Packers, not only are they, you know, pretty close to putting the division away, you would be in a great position to win the NFC. Now, I still expect the Rams to be in the mix. Um, I’m not so sure about Philly. I think right now it’s it’s the Rams, Bears, and Packers in terms of who could get the number one seed. Detroit would probably have to run the table to enter that mix. They’re seven and five. They’d probably have to end 12 and five. Uh, the 49ers and Seattle are in there as well, I should say, because all three of those teams are within a game of each other in the NFC West. But, I think it’s the three NFC West teams, Bears, and Packers, and that’s where things sit right now. I think those are the teams in the mix to get the number one seed. We’ll see if Philly can figure it out. They’re still a playoff team, I think, but number one seed uh they’re trending in the wrong wrong direction, but two of these next three uh games uh for the Bears being the Packers. I mean, the NFL when they scheduled this out, I mean, they’re they’re they’re sitting thereell and and the boys are popping champagne in the NFL offices cuz they’re saying, “Man, Bears, Eagles, Black Friday, we took a gamble there. That paid off with both teams being good. We took a gamble Bears Packers twice in the final five weeks. That’s paid off cuz that could be with the division in the NFC on the line. Bears Lions week 18 could be huge. Bears 49ers week 17 will be huge. I mean, the Bears are in huge NFL TV ratings matchups the rest of the way. And they’ve been wanting this for years. They keep putting Bears in prime time. We’re like, “Why are you doing that? The Bears stink.” Not anymore. Not anymore. The reason they’ve done it, big market, loyal fan base, and now the Bears are good, and that’s paying off for the league because these games are going to be massive. Don’t be shocked. Uh we already saw the flex for this upcoming game, 3:25 game. It was initially a noon game. Don’t be shocked if that Saturday Bears Packers game is the night window game. I would expect that. We got Bears 49ers on Sunday Night Football. And who knows, Bears, Lions in week 18 could be Sunday Night Football. So they could be in prime time three or four out of their final uh or three of their final really their last three games. They they could be in prime time. That is that is very much on the table. But guys, just I I got to show it one more time. Just just soak it in. Look at it. Don’t run away from it. Look at it. The Bears on top as we enter the month of December. Who would have thought? Who would have thought? The most optimistic Bears fan would not have projected that they’d be on top of the conference entering week 14. Absolutely unreal what Ben Johnson has done. All right, guys.
