You fear. End of story.
Well, yeah. Leading the division if we won those.
Yes, but they barely won in weeks 1 and 2 when they probably should have lost. You win some you lose some. Bengals lose more than they win these days.
Absolutely. All it would take is one more loss lol.
I’m not even sitting here thinking about playoffs. I just want fun & to watch the OLine look like a top 12 unit after a decade (2015).
That sentiment’s not exactly a stretch in most people’s eyes. The season pretty much ended when they lost to the Jets. The only thing keeping it alive is the fact that no one else wants to win the division.
The Bears are pretty good this year so even with the way that one ended I don’t feel too bad about it. I wasn’t really expecting us to be able to win that one. But the loss to the Jets is definitely shaping up to be this years version of the Patriots game last year. We should have won that one. And the Jets lost to the Steelers and Ravens so that adds to the pain.
Duh lol. Those games were on the defense btw.
Jets loss hurts the most.
To be fair we equally should of lost to the Brown’s week 1 so that’s at least a game we semi stole back.
Could have just as closely lost to the jags and browns though too
1-8 without Burrow
They absolutely will lol
Even winning one wld have made a big difference.
They’re haunting us rn
In hindsight, the Bears is not a team that should be included here. That game is more akin to one of our high scoring close matches last year that ended in Zac Taylor and the defense shitting themselves and making us lose
The Jets game is a travesty though.
The Bears are apparently good but that Jets game will never make sense. That honestly might have been the worst game a defense has ever played when you consider it was such a horrible offense led by Justin Fields.
Jets loss is fucking nightmare fuel
Bad losses, but amazing games to watch.
Maybe, but at this point last season the Ravens and Steelers were already sitting at 8 and 9 wins respectively while we were at 4. The fight for a wild card spot was long gone, let alone winning the division.
It’s MUCH closer this year, and I think our schedule is the “easiest” out of the three if you had to bet on which one could run the table.
Obviously, there’s a lot of football left to be played, but the Bengals are the only ones in the North who seem to be getting hot at the right time while everyone else is plateauing or hitting rock bottom.
There are at least a dozen games (probably more) in the NFL that could have gone either way this year, so I don’t buy the coulda-shoulda-woulda argument this year. My Bears are 9-3. The Raiders, Commanders, Bengals, Giants, and second Vikings game should have all probably been losses. They all go the other way, and we’re probably talking about how Caleb is starting to look better in a developing Bears team that’s going to be great next year. But we made one more play in each of those games, and now we’re the number one seed.
The jets game for sure, bears are actually somewhat good
