Falcons lose again and at this point I’m just numb to it to the Jets. The godamn Jets 27 to 24. Welcome in Falcons fans if any of you are left to Falcons today by chat sports. My name is Moose. Um why’ the Falcons lose today? They’re a bad football team. Plain and simple, if you can’t handle the tanking jets, something needs to change. I don’t know what Arthur Blank is waiting for. I don’t know what Terry Fontau is waiting for. I don’t know what Rich McCay does in his free time whatsoever. But it cannot be as excruciating as watching this team play football. It is just beyond embarrassing at this point. Raheem Morris kick his ass to the curb. Maris Williams, special teams coordinator. you’ve sucked all year. Kick his ass to the curb. Send him to Send him to Dubai. Send him to Saudi Arabia. Anywhere but Atlanta. Anywhere but the state of Georgia. I I don’t know what else to say. 10 points today were given up on special teams alone. Jamal Agnu, bench him. He sucks. Not only did he muff a punt, he he can’t move the ball forward on a return. Oh, Moose. It was raining. It was raining for the Jets, too. And they found a way to win. And they suck. I I honestly would not blame you if you’re a Falcons fan if you picked another team. I wouldn’t I can’t because I’m a fan. But for the love of Christ, I would not blame you because what other team in the NFL besides the Tennessee Titans lose his game as frequently and as embarrassingly as the Atlanta Falcons do? I’ll wait. I don’t think you can. So, if you had to give me a one-word feeling right now as a Falcons fan, let me know. What is it? Numb. I’m just numb. I’ll continue to say numb. We’re going to break down here uh what happened in this game offensively, defensively, special teams wise because for large stretches of this game, I actually thought the Falcons played well. It’s clear that the offense can hum under Kirk Cousins, right? 21 of 33, 234 yards, a touchdown, pass rating of basically 95. Two drop passes, by the way, at the very end. One from David Sills in his hand. 13yd drag route. Dropped it. Then Darnell Mooney the very next play. 14yd crosser the other way. Dropped it. And you’re going to lose Bejon or Drake. One of the two. Behind had almost 200 yards from scrimmage. Almost 200 yards from scrimmage. And you can’t find ways to win with that. Hell, even Kyle [ __ ] Pitts played his best game this entire football season. Played with heart, played with energy, played with passion, found open spaces, ran hard, caught the ball, and you still can’t win football games. Mental mistakes over and over and over again. Continuing to employ this coaching staff is a mental mistake over and over and over again. More in total yards, more first downs, less penalties, more in time of possession. You beat them in basically everything except third downs. How you lose this game is beyond me. But it’s the Falcons. So, is it really beyond me? No, it’s not. It’s just the Falcons. This is what they do every week. They play just good enough to let you think that maybe there’s a shot and they crush your windpipe. They step on you. They curb stomp you into the ground. And that’s what it feels like to be a Falcons fan. Curb stomped every week. And then we come back the next week and go, “Can I have some more?” I’m just I’m I’m I’m actually at the point where like I might go hysterical and not in a I’m going to freak out and go so angry. I might actually lose my mind because it’s like watching the same movie that you know the ending to and yet you’re like maybe it’ll be different this time. Like maybe at the end of Titanic, Leo doesn’t die, but he does every time. I want to smash my fists through the screen. I want to yell. I want to punch something. But uh I’m not going to do that. I’m a grown man. You’re a grown man or woman watching this show. You’re a fan just like me. And until Terry Fontnau, Arthur Blank, and Rich McCay decide that they’re going to make a change, nothing will change. This is just going to be the state of the Falcons until something else changes. The defense wasn’t great, but um it wasn’t awful. I mean, at points it was awful, right? Those last couple of drives letting Tyrod Taylor scramble into the end zone. Obviously, the the the lack of Billy Bowman hurts. Devon Diablo is still playing beat up. The pass rush wasn’t as great today, but it still got to the quarterback, you know, a good amount of times to where you could have put pressure on Tyrod Taylor. I thought James Pierce Jr. played really well again. Should have had two sacks. Didn’t end up getting the second one. Tyrod ended up, you know, getting his shirt ripped and then scrambled out and threw an incompletion. But the pass rush is not the problem. Hell, the defensive line for the most part is no longer the problem. Even the secondary, Mike Hughes got [ __ ] porched today. Fell down Moose. He slipped. Well, yes, but he also had no inside leverage. So, it would have been a massive gain anyway because Mike Hugh’s old. Mike Hughes is past his prime. Mike Hughes is not a starting outside corner. Can we agree on that? Put D. Alfred over there. Hell, put Kobe Bryant out there. Please. Please do it. But they won’t. They won’t. I mean, there’s really nothing else to say. The Falcons are a bad football team. They’re a bad franchise. They are inept. They are a travesty. You had Bill Bichc that wanted to coach this team and you chose Raheem Morris, a guy with no successful track record as a coach outside of being with Shawn McVey. And he wasn’t even a coach. He was a coordinator. So, I guess that technically qualifies under a coach. But it’s Raheem Morris. It’s the Falcons. The one bright side to all of this is that now the season is officially over and you can pretty much focus on the rest of the entire off seasonason. Gear up for the draft. Gear up for the coaching carousel because there’s no shot in hell Raheem Morris stays. There’s no shot in hell Zack Robinson stays. There’s no shot in hell Kurt Cousins is on this team next year. Although, like I said, I thought he played well today. There’s just no shot. And you will lose Bejon or Drake London if you’re not careful. You’re this close. One of them is going to request a trade. I can feel it in my bones. And honestly, wouldn’t you put yourself in those shoes, wouldn’t you? I don’t really have anything else for you. Just that.
