Between the Brooklyn Nets and the Charlotte Hornets, the Brooklyn Nets 3 and 16 this season, 7-12 against the number. They’ve lost four straight after a 11699 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in their last matchup. While the Charlotte Hornets 6-14 on the year, 10-10 against the number, picking up the outright victory in overtime against the Toronto Raptors at home, 118 111 and back-to-back covers, back-to-back wins, and that snapped a sevengame losing streak for the the Charlotte Hornets prior to the back-to-back where the Charlotte Hornets have been playing some some tough competition. I mean, Milwaukee OKC, they had their first match up against Toronto where they covered on the road. They did take the losses to the the Pacers and the Clippers. also lost to the Hawks and the the Knicks. But I’ll tell you, when this this Hornets team is healthy, they have pieces that can fight and put up, you know, put up a battle. And I think that this is going to be a Charlotte team that if they stay healthy, if they keep the cohesion, I’ve said this before, if there’s no weight or merit to the LaMelo ball drama and he actually does stay in Charlotte and build a core with Brandon Miller and, you know, Conppel and the pieces around him, this could be a team that I think could have, I don’t want to say Oklahoma City Thunder because that’s, you know, an NBA champion right now, but could have a Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistonsesque rise over a three-year stretch to where they go from a team that’s out of the playoffs to maybe an eight or a seven seed and then a team that maybe you’re expecting that from for a couple years and then all of a sudden you blink and they’re a five or a four seed. So, I think the the the the pieces are there for Charlotte. They just have to get cohesion. They have to stay healthy and they have to compete and gain that chemistry as a team. But, like I said, the pieces are there. The Brooklyn Nets, on the other hand, just feel like they’re a couple years away from being a couple years away. And right now this matchup is just a disaster on both sides where the Charlotte Hornets are one and eight on the road. The Brooklyn Nets are 0 and nine at home. Something has to give here. But I’ve been a lot more impressed with what I’ve seen from Charlotte in recent games. Like I said, the wins over Chicago and Toronto. Brooklyn, they’re they’re they’re showing up, but right now this team just doesn’t know which way is up. They’re getting their butts kicked more often than not on a nightly basis. Now, yes, they’ve played playoff teams left and right as of late over their last six with, you know, back-to-back games against Boston, a road game against Toronto, the Knicks, the Sixers, and the Bucks. But you’re not going to have the luxury of playing teams like the Washington Wizards every night, you know, and that’s the only game that the uh you know, the Wii that the the Brooklyn Nets won handily in recent memory. I mean, they did beat the Boston Celtics on the road, but I still think that this is just a matchup that favors Charlotte, especially, you know, if they can come into this game at full strength. Until Brooklyn shows me something at home, they’re not going to see any of my money. I’m going to roll with the Hornets in this one. That is my free pick for this game.
