The Sixers CHOKED & Nick Nurse Got CHEATED… & Minute Restrictions Are ANNOYING! #76ers #Sixers #NBA

That game was one of the most drunk basketball games you will ever see in your life. The 76ers finally getting their full lineup back together. The Hawks being down their top two guys. We go to the third quarter and we should have known because the Sixers finally had a competent third quarter scoring 31 points. And what do they do? They come out, give up an 18-4 run to begin the fourth quarter and they essentially move their third quarter to their fourth quarter. Then they go down the tail stretch. Maxi starting to finally get going after being in jail all night against Tyson Daniels, who’s one of the best defenders on the perimeter. The Sixers heat up. They get things going. And then with a couple minutes to go, the Sixers actually bring it back close, but it’s feeling like it’s out of reach. They make a couple bonehead plays, whether it’s Paul George who drops a wideopen rebound out of bounds and then smokes a layup and then Joel Embiid watches a wideopen rebound and put back. You’re thinking, man, the Sixers are done. But what do we know? They come down, they get fouled, they make the first free throw, the second one is missed, they’re down by three, and it’s Paul George coming out of nowhere with an insane offensive rebound. He then taps it out to Maxi. Maxi hits the game tying three and we go to overtime and the Sixers come out without Paul George in overtime due to minute restriction, without VJ Edgecomb due to minute restriction and they’re battling and they’re fighting and it feels like they pretty much have the game in hand with the Hawks being short-handed and what happens? They’re up by two and then at the end of the first overtime, Maxi gets fouled with 4 and 1/2 seconds and then he misses both free throws. Then the 76ers on the other end come down the floor and they’re going up against Jaylen Johnson who literally turned into Michael Jordan tonight and he goes up for a reverse lay with.3 seconds. And then you have these weird situations like this game made absolutely no sense where the refs are saying that the Sixers challenged it. They go to commercial for 10 minutes. They come back then they rule it and then they say by the way the Sixers didn’t challenge it. go back to regulation where Nick Nurse was trying to call a timeout right in the ref’s face. They don’t call anything for him. So then Jaylen Johnson ties up the game with some free throws with.3 seconds left. Then we go to double overtime. Now Joel Embiid can’t play in the game because he’s out on a minute restriction. Did I mention Tyrese Maxi plays 52 minutes? I mean, you’re literally going to run this guy to the ground. And the Sixers just lost all of their gas and they completely bottomed out. And for some reason, the only guy on the team, Jaylen Johnson, who is making every damn shot, is being left wide open. And he hits back-to back threes to put the nail in the coffin.

The Sixers fall to 10-9 after losing a brutal double overtime game to the short-handed Hawks. The Sixers finally got to see the season debut of their big three, but Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey could not will them to a win. Nick Nurse got cheated at the end of regulation when the referees didn’t award him a timeout. Tyrese Maxey hit the game-tying three in the 4th quarter but missed two free throws that would’ve won the game in OT.   3. It’s very simple this team is just not good enough. This team is just a fun time that will win some games other games you’ll just scratch your head. It’s hard to win without a “Superstar “. Maxey is fun to watch, but this team isn’t consistent enough to go far.

  11. I was there it was hella fun and a great game. We just played at a slow tempo sitting there looking at the rim for 5 seconds then dribbling. Not to mention Paul George sucking. McCain should have had more plays ran for him. It was all a mess but a great game to watch.

  12. You said the Hawks are missing their two best players… Trae, and who???

    Jalen Johnson averaged 19-10-5 on 50% FG last season and has been averaging 22-9-7 this season on 54% FG. He’s honestly been way better than Trae due to his efficiency and defense. Am I missing something?

  16. Trade embiid he’s just taking up space and doesn’t wanna play and trade podcast P while we’re at it for some young actually hungry talent. It would absolutely turn up the energy and defense

  17. "Hawks missing their top two guys " = I don't watch hawks basketball . Trae is arguably at the moment but to include kristaps? There's four or five more valuable than him: Jalen Johnson Nickeil AW , Dyson daniels and probably okungwu.. but yeh to watch this team play with Dyson at the point and them run and share they legit look more dangerous than when Trae is at the point … obv Trae still agun but he beinfs in defensive weakness that this starting five don't have and he needs to learn to play quick and not ball hog

  18. How tf is this team finding even more frustrating ways to lose than last year? I've never seen self sabotage on such a massive scale in my life. From the team's performance to the organization's assembly of this shit show. 🤦‍♂️

  20. Well the good news is guys are tryna play through injury. The bad news is that guys look very much like they're tryna play thru injury. I still say that at least while hes not healthy you move Embiid to the 4. U cant have ur center not trying to rebound or contest. Not sure why they don't at least try it

  21. I love Maxey. We only go as far as he takes us. Yes he missed, but he was the reason we were in OT. I've seen him make so many, and that might be the only time in his life he ever missed 2 in a situation like that

  22. It's definitely a team now that's on the edge and passing the torch. Future moves will now have to be in the direction with no injury prone starters. Problem is that we can't get stars and we are too high in believing that getting rid of Embiid or Paul will get us something better in return
