  2. Unfortunately ChatGPT lied to us. Idk why I still remember this, but we played our home game vs sharks on a Friday that year. I looked it up and we beat them two days before (Oct 26th). It looks like we lost to the Islanders at home on Oct 28th of that year.

    Either way tho I’m still hyped!!!

  4. Got curious and ran a script that pulled all Hurricanes and Panthers games since the ’97-98 season, and found that there have been [20 times when that’s happened](https://i.imgur.com/JRV12Mv.png).

    Apart from tonight, the most recent was January 5, 2025. We played the Penguins (4-3), and the Panthers played the Falcons (44-38).

    The first time it happened was October 26, 1997. We played the Blackhawks (3-2), and the Panthers played the Falcons (21-12).
