If Olave catches that deep ball by Shough, this game would have been a W. He has been flashing on and off all season but you can tell something is still off. He has had some notable drops all season. Tough but I definitely see giving him a WR2 contract. We need to draft or rely on free agency for our true WR1.

  1. We’ll need to draft a true WR1 because we cant be spending > $65mil/yr on two WRs at this point.

  2. He is a WR1! He is a cheap wr1. We should endorce Olave’s slight fuck-ups. The guy is going to be bargain if we get at a decent price.

  3. Another dumb thing from the saints fandom. WR1 money is 40 million a year. Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson money. Olave isn’t in their class thus means he’s not getting “WR1” money 🫩🫩🫩🫩🫩 He will be paid around the same as the tier 2 receivers get paid. Think Jameson Williams, Jayden Waddle, Devonta Smith contracts. That’s where he will be at which he is 100% worth it

  4. Gayle made the call. We can’t get too many wins, we already hit our optimism meter in this game

  5. I think we’ve already been over how hes not a pure WR1 during the trade deadline. I can see giving him a low end wr1 contract/ high end wr2 contract and then drafting a WR in the first 3 rounds

  6. $40 million/year WR 1’s make that catch……..$20 million/year WRs don’t. Guess which Olave is?

  7. That shit was on the money!!! Great pass! Every game he deserves that number less and less.

  8. Trade now for a 2nd and 3rd round pick draft a WR that can catch or sign or trade for one in the off-season

  9. It was a tough catch to make, but great players make great catches. And he’s still fragile. And the Saints are still in salary-cap h3ll. And the next draft is absolutely loaded at WR. And Vele has showed himself to be a stud.

    VERDICT: Not worth resigning

  10. I think the team should set a hard limit of $25m/year for a maximum of 4 years with a team friendly out in the final year.
