after that uh collision. Oh yeah, my neck kind of stiff right now, but I’ll be all right. Luckily, I didn’t get hit in the head and have to do no concussion protocol stuff, so it’s all good. Did catch you early, too? Like in the face? Uh, yeah. I think he came down, elbow me a little bit for a rebound, but it’s part of the game, man. I get banged up a little bit. What is concussion protocol like? Like, what do they have you do? Ask you questions like, “What’s where are you at? What’s the What’s the score of the game? What quarter is it?” I was I didn’t get hit in my head, y’all. I’m good. Like just my neck, but you got to take precautions for sure. What’s the adjustment? You guys haven’t had a lot of games this year with everybody here. What’s that adjustment like when you have Paul VJ at this Joel at the same time? How well do you think you guys did adjusting to that today? Um, I think we did a good job. You know what I mean? It’s going to take take some time. Everybody’s going to Jo’s got to get his rhythm back. Paul slowly coming back. BJ missed a couple games, so it takes time. just guys getting that rhythm on the court. We haven’t really practiced much as a as a whole unit together. But as time goes on, we start learning how to play with each other, what everybody likes to do. The tendencies get a lot easier when you start playing with um guys longer getting a rhythm. So, it’ll take it’ll take time, but I feel like this being the first kind of big stem with all of us playing together. I feel like we did a pretty pretty solid job. That stretch in the beginning of the fourth quarter where you guys couldn’t score was really really the only time you guys struggled for a prolong stretch. What do you think went wrong there? Um, I mean just sometimes just follow balls and find the basket for sure. But they think not getting back in transition, they got a lot of easy bucks in transition. So we got to get back and if we not scoring, we got to make sure they not scoring as well. So I think just like a transition defense kind of hurt us early for sure. Third’s obviously been a trend for you guys throughout this season so far. I guess how do you go from assessing things as like we just missed shots, we just made shots or like it’s just the flow of the game versus, okay, this is an actual problem we have to identify and figure out how to fix from here. Um, just a mentality thing. You know, I feel like we come out not worrying about not letting our offense dictate how hard we play on defense. That kind of kind of been been a trend in that third. So, I feel like we come out with the right mentality to get stops early, then that kind of takes care of the offensive thing. And then we’ll make shots and then if you make shots, you’re going to play hard on defense just by just by nature. So, if we come out with a feel like in a better mindset that third of playing hard defense, how we play kind of that first and second, I feel like we’ll be able to we’ll be all right and turn turn some things around in that second half for sure. Um, obviously a double overtime game is very taxing. Does it get just more daunting when you get to that second overtime and you have two guys run out of minutes and all? Yeah, it’s tough. You know, I mean, they they command so much pressure from the defense. They bring a lot of attention. um can create open shots, but it’s kind of probably gonna be the the name of the game for a long time with those guys. So, we got to be able to manage it. Um dig dig down a little deeper and just try to do whatever we can to pull out a win. Just uh the way you approach um screening for Tyrese to get him open. I mean, I know it’s pretty much a standard procedure no matter who you’re playing, but is it that much more so when he’s going against a guy like Dyson who’s a pretty good defender? You know, you were screening, Jared was screening, the bigs were screening. I mean, how is that something you guys actually talk about going into the game as far as how you’re going to approach that? Yeah, for sure. You know, we trying to everybody NBA match match up hunt, try to get the worst defender on Tyrese. Um, trying to get Tyson off off of him um as much as we can because we know if they double him, I’ll be open to hit a shot, Jared will be open. So, we try to make it easy for him to get a lane to the basket, get ISO, step back three or something like that. So, just trying to get the weakest link on the other team in that action with to make it easy for Tyrese and get a switch on him. For sure. And what is it about Dyson that makes him the defender he is? What what what impresses you about him? Um he’s just solid, you know? I mean, he just he moves his feet really well. He has great hands and gets his hands on a lot of steals, a lot of passing lanes. Um he’s a great on ball defender and team defenders. Usually you see it’s kind of either one of the other. So it’s kind of rare to see a guy play both really good team defense and on ball defense for sure. Thanks, Kim.
