First things first, Landry Sham is out at least four weeks with a shoulder sprain. Here are the latest updates. Shout out to Steph Bondi with the New York Post for giving us this following information. According to him, after Landry Shamid’s shoulder visibly dislodged from its socket 4 days prior, the official medical update Wednesday was certainly more encouraging than it could have been. Shamut was diagnosed with a sprained shoulder and will be re-evaluated in about four weeks according to league sources with the shooting guard already starting rehab. A source said the injury wasn’t as bad as Shamus’s dislocation from last year and there’s optimism that he could again return without surgery. So, let’s break this down really quickly. Landry Shem is out at least four weeks, maybe longer with a sprained shoulder. Now, thankfully, the injury is not as bad as last year’s injury. It should mean that Shemmit may not be out as long as the injury last year had him out for. So, that is encouraging. However, we still don’t have a recovery timeline for when he’s going to come back to the Knicks. That means New York may have to make some roster decisions in the near future. So, what are the Knicks roster plans? Well, if it’s up to coach Mike Brown, he wants New York to keep Landry Sheam no matter what. And while Shamid’s contract is not guaranteed, leaving open the possibility of him getting waved amid a lengthy recovery, coach Mike Brown made it clear he wants his key player back. According to Mike Brown, here’s what he had to say about Landry Sheam and the Knicks keeping him. According to Brown, that’s something that Leon Rose and the front office will discuss, but Landry is a really big part of what we’re doing, and I’ll give up my salary for him. Obviously, that’s not how it works, but that’s a very big endorsement by the head coach of the New York Knicks right now to Leon Rose and this entire Knicks front office. If it’s up to him, he wants She to remain on this team. Brown continued and he stated the following about Shemmit and his injury. Anytime you can avoid surgery, at least from my novice experience, I think it’s great. But I don’t know much about it still. I know he has a right shoulder sprain and he’s going to go through the process, whatever that means. The recovery timeline provided by league sources suggest a partial supplication of the shoulder, meaning a temporary partial dislocation that can be popped back in. And while these updates on Landry Shamut are very encouraging and they show optimism, especially from the Knicks, it still begs that same question and it still acknowledges what Mike Brown said. It’s a question up to Leon Rose and this Knicks front office on if they keep Landry Shamut or not. Now, clearly Mike Brown, he wants New York to keep Landry Shamut. But Leon Rose, what he’s going to do is what’s best for this Knicks team. If Landry Shamck can recover in time and still have an impact for this team, I don’t think Landry Shamut will be moved. And I think Leon Rose and this Knicks front office end up actually keeping him on this team. However, if Shamut is going to miss several months, Leon Rose will not hesitate. he will make another move to help this Knicks team. And if another move happens, that move will likely take place after January 6th. And here’s why. Shout out to NBA insider Steph Bondi with the New York Post for giving us this following information. According to him, the update of a sprain seems to avoid the worst case scenario of requiring season ending surgery. But it doesn’t mean that Shamut is scheduled to return in 4 weeks. It just means there will be another update in about 4 weeks or on December 24th, which is presumably dependent on his rehab progress. So, Landry Shemut will at least miss nine more games because of this injury. The Knicks are already short-handed because of OG Anob’s hamstring strain. Importantly, Shamut’s contract becomes guaranteed in early January, and the Knicks can wave him without penalty before January 7th, 2 weeks after the scheduled update. That lays out New York’s plans perfectly. What New York is going to do is they’re going to wait. They’re going to give Landry Sheamut that grace and see if he can rehab and come back in time. However, if he cannot come back in time, if he’s going to miss several months, it’s absolutely clear Leon Rose, he will make a move to help improve this roster. And it’s likely he is going to wave Landry Shemmit before he’s guaranteed and then add another player to this roster. And I’m not the only one who’s stating this. James L. Edwards of the Athletic. He also threw this scenario out there if Landry Shamut cannot return in time. Let’s break down exactly what he stated as well. According to James L. Edwards, let’s say that Landry Shamut is hypothetically out for two months or more. I don’t think the Knicks can afford to have him sitting on ice and not have another rotational player to replace him. So again, this is hypothetical. I could see New York cutting Sheamtt, whose deal isn’t guaranteed until after the new year, but he can be traded after December 15th, and signing, let’s say, Garrison Matthews, another shooter who was in line to make the Knicks roster out of training camp. Matthews won’t provide the defense that Shamut does. However, he can make up for the shooting. Matthews is currently finishing up a 10-day contract with the Pacers. However, he’s also signed to a hardship exception because the Pacers are dealing with so many injuries. At some point, he likely will be waved and be available once again. And once that happens, if it’s at the trade deadline and Shammit can no longer go or he’s going to miss several months or he has to get surgery, the Knicks will pivot. they will make another move and maybe that next move could be a Garrison Matthews type of player or maybe a 3 and D guard or perhaps in my opinion which I would hope for them to get a bigger body a bigger wing to add to this team. But either way, it’s clear if Landry Shamid does not return, New York will add another player to this Knicks rotation. And shout out to channel sponsor FanDuel, America’s number one sports book, for giving us this updated information and these latest odds on who’s going to win tonight’s game between the Knicks and the Toronto Raptors. And as you can see by the money line, the New York Knicks are the favorites to win this game. They’re at minus 280, while the Toronto Raptors, they’re at plus 230. FanDuel has called it right a number of times. Now, they are choosing the Knicks, but they’re doing so with good reason. It’s not because the Raptors are a bad team. It’s because the Knicks, they have been playing better basketball as of late. You want to talk about two players that deserve defensive player of the year votes? These two guys have been playing out of their mind on defense. Mikuel Bridges having in my opinion one of his best career years with the New York Knicks and Scotty Barnes, he has turned it all the way up for the Raptors this year. He’s not the only one that I’m watching. This is not the only matchup that I’m watching. Obviously, I want to see Brandon Ingram, too. However, Barnes and Mikuel Bridges, it’s defense versus defense. It’s legitimately two of the best defensive players going at it tonight. But let’s not forget tonight is a preview of the NBA Cup quarterfinals because the Knicks, they will be taking on the Toronto Raptors again on Tuesday. And that game will have stakes involved. That game will be an NBA Cup game. And New York, they’re looking to win both of these games. It starts tonight and then it continues into Tuesday. New York needs to focus and lock in. This game will not be easy. But if I’m calling it, if you’re asking me who has this game, who’s going to win this game, you already know I’m going with the orange and blue. New York all day, every day. If the Knicks win tonight, they’re gonna walk into Tuesday’s game with a ton of confidence. But what about you guys? What do you think about the Knicks likely being forced to make a move after January 6th if Landry Shamck cannot return or he’s going to miss several months? Let me know how you feel about that in the comment section below, guys, because honestly, I would love to hear from you. But that’s going to do it for this episode. I hope you enjoyed it, and if you did, go ahead and smash that like button, leave a comment below, and of course, guys, please subscribe to the channel. Until next time, Nick fans, take care of yourself, your families, and each other. Peace and

  1. If Landry announces he needs further rehab and or surgery by Dec 24, will his medical bills be covered if Leon Rose waives him? That would be messed up, especially considering how hard Landry was working for the team. This is an important point that requires clarification.

  2. I am starting to hate my own team. Gets me thinking what if Mcbride gets injured will he get cut too? What about everyone else? OG is injured too somehow he is not replaceable. He has played better than yabusele an yet 1 injury is enough. the season is not over yet.

  3. What, exactly, has Shamet done in the time he has played??? All this bullshit is big over reaction. He's a nice player to have on the bench but, really, come back to us, people!!! What has he done????

  4. The Shamet has become a valuable piece to this team. He has played very well defensively and his offensive was on full display without Brunson and the ball moment that Brown installed. Also, it’s not about January it’s about April for the playoffs. Hopefully the Knicks don’t make a boneheaded move and waive Shamet for a back of the rotation player when Shamet was a spot starter for this team

  5. If Shamet can come back in 2 or even 3 months then it's worth keeping him. No point in giving up his defense and 3 point shooting for someone who doesn't have the same skill set

  6. I hope Shamet comes back soon. Shamet earned his spot & the coach vouched for him I mean who wouldn't, he can shoot, score, defend even play make a lil. Garrison is trash, why downgrade from a player that does it all just for a "shooter" who can't guard to save his life. Why don't we wait, get a big & just give those minutes to Kolek. He should be getting consistent minutes anyway.

  7. they don't need shamet they playing better without him he another brunson he don't move the ball and that's his job move on already they to small with him anyway that White boy Matthews is garbage they need to do better where Mccullar the dumb head coach don't like him
