I know it's been said before, but without Saleh, we would've probably been eliminated from the playoffs by now

  1. Yeah he def getting the most out of the guys. Hopefully he stays on next year to really solidify his mark on the developing players

  6. God I hope he isn’t eyeballing any head coaching gigs yet.

    I hope the Jets experience has him burned out and hesitant to head coach again. At least for another year or two.

  9. I think we get 3 to 5 years of him as DC. I don’t think he would leave for anything but a head coaching gig with a good organization. Those don’t come open very often, and if they do, they may not be available to him.

  10. The performances against the Panthers and Browns was stellar. If they show up like that, we have a good chance to win at least 2 of the remaining 4 games.

  11. The difference in coaching in that Browns game from one sideline to the other was pretty startling. I’m still pissed off that Kevin Stefanski stole Demeco Ryans COY award. I haven’t seen a difference like that since Belichick and just about anyone not named Tom Coughlin. How did Bill Cowher get into the HOF so easily? Every time he went against Belichick, Belichick just pulled his pants down around his ankles. It was embarrassing.

  12. I did not think we needed Salah in the offseason. I thought we could progress without him.

    I have never been so happy to be so very, very wrong.

  15. The remarkable thing is what the 49ers have been able to do defensively with essentially no pass rush. It’s almost unprecedented. The precedent is in fact when the Patriots upset the Greatest Show on Turf: people remember that as Brady’s first SB, but the real story was how the Patriots “dropped back and simply covered everybody.”

  16. After this season, Saleh can walk up to Jed and say this is my price. And Jed should pay it. I don’t want the best DC in the league leaving us again.

  18. I didn’t become a fan till Purdy broke out, so I missed the OG Saleh years. I now understand why this sub raved about him as DC all the time.

  21. He brings the best out of his players. Def need to keep him around for a few more years.

  24. The idiot announcer yesterday talking about “the Niners’ third DC in three years”. Yeah, the three years since he left to be a head coach, and we couldn’t have been happier to get him back!

  25. if he gets offered a head coaching job he’s gone but I hope he stays at least another year…
