[McFadden] Raheem Morris says the Falcons are not considering staff changes for the special teams unit at this time. “Got a lot of confidence in Marquice [Williams].”

  1. Rightfully so. These guys should all be fired together. Makes no sense to scapegoat your people below you when you are the problem. Fire Raheem

  2. It’s a boys club so you can’t fire one unless you fire them all. Hilliard clearly wasn’t a part of the boys club anymore and got booted.

  3. Got a lot of confidence in this entire regime eventually not having their grubby hands on this team anymore

  4. This is Raheem’s default response to any criticism directed at his staff. I don’t think he’s capable of saying anything else.

  5. Maybe he’s basically saying “we’re all going to get fired anyway” -if so, i guess good for him standing up for his guys LOL

Just fire him – this shit is so over

  6. Yea of course Raheem has confidence in him. He couldn’t find his ass with both hands, why would he be able to see the issues with special teams.

  7. I hope this man never gets another NFL job. It’s about WINNING. Not some blind, stupid loyalty. Fuck, I cannot stand this guy. Don’t give a shit if he’s a nice guy or what. I don’t root for the Falcons because the coach is nice. What the fuck are we even doing here?

  8. What a fucking joke. It would be nice to have organizational competence for once. I honestly dont understand this. All this goes to show is that the coaches can continue to be subpar, and the only change that will be made is *checks notes* firing our WR coach. What does that say to your players? That you refuse to hold coaches accountable for their shortcomings and failures? Such a piss poor example is being set, and I genuinely dont understand how Raheem has so many supporters. I cant wait for the season to be over.

  9. He has nothing to gain from firing him. He and everyone knows he has to be so gone no matter what he does(best case). so why fire a friend?

  10. He was asked why they fired Ike Hilliard but won’t make a change on special teams and he said they feel like they can communicate things to the players on special teams the right way and they felt like things weren’t getting communicated to the receivers the right way whatever that means.

but here’s the question: the special teams were shit for 11 weeks and cost the team a game against one of the worst teams in the league in week 12. What’s the magic fix in communication that’s going to work at this point?

  11. “As the leader of this team, how do you hold yourself accountable for these bad losses since no one else does?”

  12. I used to think Raheem was a funny guy, well that was before he became the Head Coach of my team

  13. I’m done with this turtle faced bastard to be honest. He’s got confidence in what exactly. How tf do we suck on SPECIAL TEAMS. I mean damn they’re supposed to be your backups and stop gap players. No wonder this locker room has turned to wet tissue

  14. My intuition and best guess tells me that Ike Hilliard was probably one of the only coaches that truly gave a damn about this team and was probably livid after the 30-0 embarrassment and went on a tirade against Raheem and Zac which is what got him fired.

Marquice Williams is just a yes man and a good ole boy who doesn’t rock the boat.

  15. As much as I know this is a “press conference nothing-ism”… I would LOVE for a reporter to follow up and ask for specific facts or statistics or other examples that give Raheem such confidence in his coordinators and other coaches. Make him back up the empty words he’s hiding behind every week.

  16. Once he’s gone I genuinely hope to never see his face again on anyone’s sideline. I hate that I hate such a seemingly nice guy.
