He’s been back for four games after missing the entire season. The Lakers have gone 4-0 straight up with him those past four games, but he is now listed as questionable tonight. The official NBA injury report is not out for the Lakers, but I’m seeing him as questionable. Some news sources, uh, we saw an advance line as high as 10. It was 5 this morning. Now it’s 4 and a half midafter afternoon. So, I think that tells you what the betting market’s thinking. That’s LeBron’s not playing tonight. And while they’ve been a good team without him this season. I mentioned the four straight wins. They’re still 11 and four straight up without LeBron. Not a good situation for the Lakers tonight. First of all, they did play four games with him. They’ve started to work him back in the lineup. So, I think it could be a little bit of a shock to the system to pull him back out. And by the way, LeBron is still playing well. In those four games, he averaged about 32 and a half minutes a game, 16 and a half points, uh, over eight assists. He’s a great one of the greatest passers ever. That might be the most underrated aspect of LeBron James, who has now played pro basketball more than half his life. He has been in the NBA longer than he has not been in the NBA, which is just also a remarkable stat. With that said though, Donic’s been doing the heavy lifting this season. 37 minutes a game, 35 points a game. Austin Reeves, our new superstar, 36 minutes, 28 and a half, 29 points a game. So, they’re okay if LeBron’s not there, but the scheduling spot is still not good for the Lakers, especially with two other guys having to do a lot of heavy lifting. The reason I say that is because it’s a back-to-back no rest situation after beating New Orleans last night but failing to cover at home. And of course, they had that big game against Dallas Friday night, the national TV cup game in which they won and barely covered by about a half a point. So, yes, this is now the Lakers third game in four nights, back-to-back no rest situation. And it should be a very focused spot for Phoenix, who comes in with rest after losing to two of the best teams in the NBA. lost at Oklahoma City and they also lost at home against Denver on Saturday, Friday and Saturday. No shame in those losses as they were a dog in both games. Also lost against Houston a few games before that. Uh but otherwise they’ve won their other four games and they’d won uh eight of their previous nine if you take out those class A opponents. Yes, the Lakers are maybe a class A team, but I think they could be a little short-handed tonight and the scheduling spot is also not good for LA. I think we have a live dog alert here with the Phoenix Suns tonight. Take a look at Phoenix plus the 4 and a half to plus 5.
