  6. Payton was superb in this game. That first-quarter spurt gave us an early lead until he got into foul trouble. In the fourth, he came up clutch with that basket that put us up by 5 with less than a minute remaining. And that play with 3 seconds left—getting the ball past half court to avoid the 8-second violation—plus the two clutch free throws after was critical
