Something BIG is About To Drop…
Something big is about to drop as we just received multiple updates surrounding this prominent outfielder who is on the Yankees wish list to sign long-term. And these new developments are sure to bring in a lot of noise and conversations throughout the Yankees fan base on this prominent outfielder. And I’ll break it down here on another episode of Yankees Digest. What’s going on guys? Alex Brooks back here on Yankees Digest to dive deep in all of the offseason moves and rumors surrounding the New York Yankees. But before we get into everything surrounding the Bronx Bombers, we’re currently at 9,976 subscribers on the channel. So, we are less than 25 subscribers away from 10,000. So, we appreciate the support. But if you’re tuning in to this video and you haven’t subscribed and you want to know more about the New York Yankees on a daily basis, hit that subscribe button. Comment down below. Let me know your thoughts on the New York Yankees and where you want them to go in 2026. But getting right into this video as we are mentioning the guy who is supposed to be the left fielder for the New York Yankees, the guy that I want in left field for the New York Yankees. It’s Cody Bellinger. And Cody Bellinger is definitely a top priority for this Yankees team to resign and get him back in the Bronx. We know that his dad played in the Bronx for a couple seasons and we know how much of like Cody Bellinger, he really took on that role as a New York Yankee and he really was prideful to wear those pinstripes and that’s definitely someone who the Yankees and Brian Cashman has said it in the past. He wants him back in New York. And we just received some interesting developments regarding Cody Bellinger. This was from John Haymon saying that the Yankees reportedly want Cody Bellinger back badly, but there is a gap in negotiations. So, this is definitely interesting regarding Cody Bellinger right now that the Yankees, they want him back. They want him back in the Bronx. want him to make that impact that he did in left field and with the bat. He hit uh 29 home runs. So, you know, he was basically a 30 home run guy this season and he really had a positive impact defensively as well. And I think that’s what the Yankees want to have, you know, continuity with their outfield. They just got Trent Gisham back on a qualifying offer. You obviously have have the captain Aaron Judge in right field. So having Cody Bellinger back, it would be the continuity that I’ve stressed to have a very successful season in 2026, knowing that you have continuity in the outfield and you’re not just interchanging guys like you did in 2024 to 2025. You you have Aaron Judge. He has Trent Gisham and Cody Bellinger. two guys who are gold glove caliber players in the defense and also have the ability to have clutch hits especially against prominent prominent uh prominent teams that they face off against. Uh definitely with Trent Gisham having those uh grand slams this year and then Cody Bellinger having really clutch hits. But, you know, a little bit more on, you know, Cody Bellinger and what he would demand for a contract and how everything is shaping out there. Saying his elite defense in left field, an excellent excellent swing for Yankee Stadium make him a natural fit for the Yankees. But whether the team is willing to shed out top dollar for him or not remains to be seen. For starters, they won’t bid against themselves in the sweep stakes at Bellinger’s camp demands a number that New York is unwilling to match. they’ll wait for another team to hit that number before increasing their offer. Furthermore, the team has an alternative left field option on the market who is a better player than Cody Bellinger in Kyle Tucker who could supercharge this offense. And I definitely think that there is a lot of different things regarding the Cody Bellinger versus Kyle Tucker comparison. I am my opinion is that I want Cody Bellinger over Kyle Tucker. I know that might sound a little controversial because Kyle Tucker definitely over time has had the better numbers than Cody Bellinger, but I definitely think that Bellinger just has a better fit with Aaron Judge and Trent Gisham. I definitely think he provides a better defense than Kyle Tucker does. And I just think he has a better fit with the New York Yankees and the New York Yankees fans. We obviously know that Kyle Tucker was a part of the Houston Astros uh Astros teams. You know, there was, you know, controversy there. They won in 2022. He wasn’t on the 2017 team, but you know, when you’re looking at the Houston Astros, it definitely was just, you know, a sour taste in the in the Yankees fans mouths about a guy from the Houston Astros going to the New York Yankees. We just don’t really want those guys to be in the New York Yankees. Obviously, Kyle Tucker is an amazing talent and if the Yankees aren’t able to get Bellinger, I would put all that money to go and get Kyle Tucker because you’re definitely going to need an impact bat behind Aaron Judge. But right now, I think uh Cody Bellinger has more experience in these bigger markets. I’ve said it uh throughout the season that he has experience in LA, Chicago, and now in New York. So, he has that experience, big big time experience in the World Series as well. So, and he’s a former MVP. It just all of these things are really going in the way of me trying to get Cody Bellinger back in the Bronx. It’s just going to it’s going to come down to the negotiations uh between you know the gap right now and seeing how the Yankees can really uh get on a you know an even playing field with Cody Bellinger and his agent. And you know when we look at what Brian Kman is trying to take advantage of this season or this off seasonason, excuse me, he wants to get a big- time bat. He wants to get a big-time pitcher and he wants to provide that protection for Aaron Judge because there’s a lot of different, you know, scenarios that could happen in 2026. If you don’t have that guy behind Aaron Judge, they’re going to walk Judge and then you’re not going to have that, you know, prominent bat, whether it’s John Carlos Stanton, Ben Rice, those are very uh up in the air right now because, you know, John Carlos Stanton, he gets injured pretty much every season, you know, for a middle part of the season. And then Ben Rice is very unproven at this point. He had a full year, but you don’t know what what Ben Rice you are going to get. And I think just having a really good bat in this lineup could be so good for the Yankees chances at getting a championship in 2026. And having the dual threat ability, I’ve stressed the importance of having really good offense and really good defense. It’s not the, you know, the best offense in the world. He’s not going to get 40 home runs in Cody Bellinger, but he’s definitely going to provide that solid hitting and solid batting average and getting some pop as well. So, I think Cody Bellinger in the Bronx just, you know, makes a lot of sense. But if the Yankees aren’t able to get him, I think you go after Kyle Tucker because you have to make that big splash move. If you are a Brian Kman, you got to make sure that you can pivot. The Yankees did it in 2024. They weren’t able to resign Sodto. they went after Cody Bellinger. You’re and if you’re unable to resign a guy like Cody Bellinger, you’re going to have to pivot and go allin on Kyle Tucker. So, there’s definitely going to be big things that are going to be dropping soon about this Yankees team. Whether it’s they’re going to go and they’re going to put allin on Cody Bellinger and give top dollar money or if they seem like they are too uh too big of a gap in negotiations, then they are going to pivot to Kyle Tucker. definitely think the Yankees are not going to go over two with both of these guys. I’d be shocked if they if they would and I think that definitely would be a disappointment for all Yankees fans if they weren’t able to get one of these guys in the Bronx in 2026. But I know that there’s a lot of different things that could happen. There’s going to, you know, be rumors about Tatsuya that the Yankees are checking in. They’re going to want him to get, you know, get a contract going for him as San Francisco hasn’t been, you know, really highly on him. they might be out of the sweep stakes in a little bit. So, the Yankees are very prominent to, you know, make some moves in these next couple of days because winter meetings is coming up in the next week. So, we’re going to definitely have all the news here on Yankees Digest. But that’s going to do it for another edition of Yankees Digest. Wanted to raise the question to you guys regarding Cody Bellinger. Do you want Cody Bellinger back in the Bronx in 2026? Type Y for S, type N for no. And I think that this is going to be something where I want Cody Bellinger back in 2026. I want him back in the Bronx. I want that continuity in the outfield. And I know what I c I know what I’m going to get out of Cody Bellinger on a daily basis. I’m unsure what I’m going to get out of Kyle Tucker on a daily basis. So, I hope you guys have a great rest of your day. And as always, let’s go Yankees.

I want Tucker instead of Bellinger….Bellinger is a very inconsistent player thru out his career plus his two years older than Tucker.
Also, Mgrs will think twice walking Judge when they still need to face Tucker but bellinger wont be a problem doing that.
Rice might hit 40 hr with regular at bats and less wear at 1b
GIVE ME TUCKER THE JAPANESE PITCHER BULLPEN AND RIGHT β οΈ HAND BAT OFF BENCH 2026
YYYYYYYYYY !!!
If itβs gonna cost close to what Tucker wants, Iβd rather the better player in Tucker π
U guys don't really give news
The Yankees would be better off with Tucker, both players are interested in receiving the most money from whatever team signs them.
Tucker is better a more consistent player than Cody π
Tucker is the man!
