Not “prove to be” but was obviously the case at the time. Which is why everyone was so ashamed of it.
Zach Lowe called it malfeasance the day after the draft. It was utterly indefensable. Doesn’t matter how good Queen is or becomes.
In order to get any draft picks this upcoming draft, we’re going to need to make some trades at the deadline.

Look on the bright side, the one thing that *might* get Dumars fired is the Pelicans winning the number 1 pick and not getting to use it. I think he embarrassment and obvious fuck up that would scream might override Gayle’s love for him.
