In today’s NBA gameplay, Jimmy Butler and the Golden State Warriors gear up for a thrilling showdown against Shai Gilis Alexander and the reigning champion, Oklahoma City Thunder. Golden State enters the matchup, sitting eighth in the West, while Oklahoma holds the top spot. Will the Thunder take control early or can the Warriors fight to make it a downto-wire battle? Watch the full video to see how it all unfolds. Gilgis Alexander runs things with Dort to his And it’s Williams at the three, the small forward. And for Golden State, there should be plenty of action down in the painted area tonight, Greg with the big man match up in this one. Yeah, I I love to see skilled bigs dueling down low. Kind of a throwback in some ways, but there’s still plenty of physicality in the modern game. Just five to shoot and the basket is good. Homegrren’s got his team on the board to start the game for the Thunder. Now what a great option he gives them on every possession. Pass to Moody. It’s stolen by Dort. Here’s Williams. Second shot opportunity. It’s rebounded by Golden State. That’s a surprise. I mean, really out of character for him to miss when the defense is not right up on him. Here’s Gilgis Alexander. Right now, I’d send it over to the sidelines and get a report from David Aldridge. Well, Kevin, Steve Kerr gave me a few minutes to catch up with him. He said, “Sga has this special ability to lull a defender into a slower pace and then suddenly make a quick move that leaves everybody just standing there.” coach feels the attention has to be on him. He wants to force somebody else to beat them, guys. All right, David. Thanks. You can’t just stop when there’s a pick set up. Got to fight over it as a defender. That’s one that the coaches will watch tomorrow with that player. You hate to see him give up in that situation. Uncovered at the rim, finding cracks in the defense here early on. just really smart basketball and exploiting whatever holes that he’s seeing right now in the defensive squad from deep. That one’s off. He starts the game with a miss. The Thunder have gone two for four from the field so far today. Right at the free throw line, he hits the back iron and sinks the shot. There’s a great pace to Gildis Alexander’s game. The mid-range fits well. And the Warriors with possession here. They trail by one. Pass to Moody. Golden State moving the ball around. It’s rebounded by Hartinstein. For Oklahoma City, they’ve gone three of five shooting the ball. So far, it seems likely that the Warriors title run under Steph Curry, Brent, has probably come to a close. Yeah, I’m not going to count Steph Curry out quite yet, Kevin, but you know, they have added some quality youngsters. They’re trying to grow that group. How fast can they bring those kids along to championship caliber players? That’s the big question. They’re going to win their share of games. The teardrop falls in. That is a tough two right there from Butler. Really is calling card. Rugged play with 100% effort. And Mark Dagno calls timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. jumps in love and make some noise for the breaker. About 3 minutes gone here in the first quarter. Hartinstein against Curry and the basket by Gilis Alexander. about the agility of Shay Gildas Alexander able to get around that inside contact. The Warriors trail outside curve. Here’s Richard. No good on the triple. And here’s Gilg Alexander. He’ll bring it up for the Thunder. Here’s Williams. And the slam by Williams. My goodness. He is such a great dunker, Greg. A high riser. No doubt about it. First quarter play and just over three and a half minutes in. Curry against Gilg Alexander. No good that time. Good D by Homegrren. On the wing, Gilgus Alexander guarded by Kirk. Bartinstein against Green outside. Williams five to shoot over Moody. Williams can’t hit his touch from mid-range and that’s almost always good. That won’t shake his confidence. Now here’s Moody. He’s guarded by Williams. Jimmy such a well conditioned athlete using that vertical he has get up and throw it down. The Thunder with the lead. And here is Gus Alexander. Six points for him. Launches it. Jimmy Butler with the rebound. Warriors have gone 50% from the field to this point. Four of eight. Pass to Moody. Craps in the tray. Well, because he’s such a good scorer. People don’t always talk about Jimmy Butler, the playmaker. Thunder have gotten five of 10 shots to drop in this game so far. Right at the 50% mark. Down low. Here’s Homegrren. Score of the basket. His second of two attempts. And great job from home. I I like when he shows confidence attacking inside. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s made the decision. He wants to huddle up with his guys. Golden State’s gone two of four from beyond the arc to start the game. Green with a screen on George inside and that one’s good. Green. We’ll see if they can finally hold on to a lead. It’s been back and forth all night. Well, you can tell they really want to increase this lead. They can’t keep letting them take it from Here’s Homegrren following the basket by Draymond Green. His first shot coming late. Pass to Moody. Lets the three fly and Jimmy Butler good for a three. Seven points in the game. Well, when Butler’s this focused, defenders beware. With so many years in the NBA, you would think Curry would slow down, wouldn’t you, Brent? But he remains at the very top of his game. I think the best part about what we’re seeing with Steph right now, Kevin, is his competitive will. You get to this age, and you get to this stage after accomplishing all the things that Steph has done, and it’s still not enough. So, let’s keep enjoying him while we can. Good. And that’s a lesson for the D. Fight harder on the glass. Yeah. You just can’t afford to give up second chance opportunities again and again. Now here’s Moody fighting the lane shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. Personal foul. Have one on Homegrren. Yeah, Jimmy determined there just to get inside and fight for an opportunity to get an attempt up. Let’s look at the energy stats. How the hustle game has been going for the Warriors. And they’ve made a point of pounding the offensive boards turning those rebounds into points. It’s been a great effort. Sometimes the offense can be keyed by just quick possessions. So you get a steal and you can get out in transition. They seem to be very focused on that end of the floor. PJsky, he’s checked in for Curry. Second free throw, no good. When you think of Jimmy Butler, his work ethic comes to mind. Notably, how hungry he is to win at all costs. Williams looking over the floor. Pass to Hartenstein. And the dunk by Hardenstein. That’s unblockable unless they can get a bigger man on him. Got to learn your lesson. The Warriors have gone seven to 13, just over 50% from the floor. Some good looks, fires the three, connects from three-point range. He’s got 11. And look out when Jimmy Butler feels confident and comfortable from deep. Martin Shine with it. And foul on the shot. So, he’ll get a chance at the line. Yeah. Way to play an attack bowl and get to the line. This is his first chance at the line tonight. And he finished last season right around 71% from the line. So, not exactly his best percentage. That free throw good from Hartinstein. In recent years, Brent, we’ve seen Oklahoma City turn into a contender simply by developing their own young talent. Yeah. Blocks on sticks, on bricks, on blocks. And that’s what they’ve done. They have not signed a free agent, bigname guy. They’ve built from within. Uh they’ve built an incredible roster by drafting well and fostering the growth of these young players along with the coach who has given them a lot of belief. It’s been pretty magical in OKC. fires from 18. It falls for his fifth field goal of the night. Now shooting five for eight. Kind of fun when you have a fast break where guys want to join you. And Jimmy Butler, he’s a member of the party outside. Williams pass to Caruso. Six to shoot. Wallace with a screen for Caruso. The Thunder with another miss. Warriors leading by six. one, his sixth of the night, shooting a very healthy six for nine. Jimmy Butler is in the zone and he keeps finding shots. Oklahoma City has gone 0 of two from deep here. Pass to Hartenstein on the wing. Williams. Count the bucket. And he’s got a free throw coming up as well. So far, both teams scorching good hits. You got to love. Yeah. Made for TV game here. Pace is great. Scoring is coming in bunches. And both of the teams feeling confident right now. Catching up on the changes for Oklahoma City. Williams comes in for Isaiah Hartenstein. and Shay Gilgis Alexander subbed in for Wallace. He’s listed at 6’5, but Brent Jaylen Williams seems so much bigger than that on the floor. Yeah, Kevin, one of those guys that has more presence on the floor than the measurements you look at on paper. This guy plays bigger. He’s got a great frame. He’s got great strength. He’s got great poise. And I know a lot of people are going to recognize just how talented is. And the Thunder making a switch here. Begins is checked in. Good. Warriors leading by five. Curry on the wing. Gilas Alexander covering. Gilas Alexander with the steel outside. Williams. Here’s Caruso. A second chance effort and it’s good on the layup. The tenacity on that interior just battling bringing that effort and will for second chance points. Gilg Alexander against Curry. Knocked away top Joe guarded by Curry. Williams a screen on Horford. Here’s Gilas Alexander. The jumper from the free throw line is good. Gilas Alexander’s got eight points. Such good length for a guard. Opponents struggle to keep Gilas Alexander from scoring the basketball. Curry against Gilas Alexander. Now here’s Curry. Tight defense on him. Just four to shoot. Jacks up a three. It doesn’t go for him. They were sharp from the perimeter right out of the gate. They just couldn’t seem to know what it was that they needed to do and how to stick them from outside. The defense pretty lost. Some kind of shooting in the back court for it. It’s Curry and heel. Payton is out there with Horford and it’s post in at the five down low. So that’s the group out there for Golden State on the wing. Williams. Oklahoma City moving the ball around. Joe Good. Both teams running perimeter oriented plays that are working well. Both of them looking towards the three-point line and I like to see that especially when the results are made buckets. Gil Alexander against Curry and another three for Golden State. Well, the moment that ball went through on the other end, you could see Steph wanting the ball back and of course he did it. That’s the answer. Caruso against Payton on the Wayne Williams. Wiggins passes to Gilis Alexander. The rebound by Post. Warriors leading by four. Horford dishes to Heel. Here’s Post and he converts the layup. Yeah, even though heel can pull up from anywhere, you love that he’s always looking to find a shot for his teammate. Caruso with the ball. Higgins outside. We’re about a minute and a half into the second quarter now. Here’s Gilg Alexander. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Brent, there can’t be any question now that Shane Gilis Alexander has arrived as an NBA superstar. No doubt about it, Kevin. I mean, you finish in the top three of MVP voting. That is a stamp of approval. SGA, one of the more feared players in the game and this guy is on his way. That’s good from Gilgis Alexander. You know, it used to be teams hoarded their cap space to make a big splash in free agency. But Brent, why is that less common now? Well, really the mechanisms for you to retain and maintain your star power has gotten easier for teams as they have gone out for big extensions to make sure that their star is shining brightest. Brent, it seems like throughout his career, Gilgus Alexander has an answer to whatever the defense might throw at him. Well, the defenses don’t have answers to stop him, Kevin. I know that this guy is so quick with the basketball. He’s so good at adapting on the fly with the ball, getting around the initial defender to make plays. Superstars have that quality. SGA has it in spades. For Oklahoma City, they have shot 80% from the line tonight, going four to five so far. And one of the highlights last year for this group was the fact that they were so efficient from the charity strike. That’s a huge factor. No good on the free throw. The Warriors making a switch here. Santos has checked in. He hits the second from the line. We’re now about 2 minutes into the second quarter. Warriors leading by three. Heel kicks to Curry. Horford sets a screen for Curry and a miss there on the triple. The Thunder shooting has been fun to watch in this game. They’re at 57%. Caruso the pass to Gilas Alexander and that one is good. And that’s 12 points for Shade Gil Alexander. A that jumper so pure. Gilas Alexander with great confidence. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan. Clearly he’s checked in for Golden State. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. Pass to post in the corner. Harford with it. Healed from outside. The shots good on the assist by Horford. Heels got six. Still the strongest part of Buddy Heield’s game. He is a lethal shooter. What a perfect stroke that was. Here’s Gilis Alexander. Warriors with the rebound. Curry deciding where to go with it. Basket made. Just his second this confidence. He’s two for seven now. Good shot selection there from Steph, feeling the rhythm and then easily connecting on the pullup. Gilgis Alexander kicks to Williams. Healed against Caruso. Pass to Gilis Alexander. Double team on Gilas Alexander and the shot goes down. He’s got 14. Gilas Alexander. Fantastic concentration. Warriors leading by four. outside Curry and that one clearly a foul. Gets the whistle and two shots coming up. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. First team foul at the line for the Dubs. Stephen Curry taking two. The first one falls. What you appreciate most about Curry is his confidence, especially when it comes to how far he can connect from. A different look for Oklahoma City. Hartinstein’s checked in for Williams. And it’s Tort in for Isaiah Jones. At this point, you might as well go ahead and chalk up the points when he’s at the free throw line. Pretty much automatic. On the wing, Gilas Alexander. Again, the Thunder. He’s making plays all over the floor. Gilas Alexander will not be stopped. Time now to turn to our sideline reporter David Aldridge. David Kevin Lou Dorp makes his bones at the defensive end. Shay Gilis Alexander says, “I always try to test myself against him in practice because he’s the best of the best.” And coach Mark Dagnold said, “I look at him more like he’s an artist. We can shift him anywhere. There’s no one he can’t guard.” Kevin David, he is a beast. Wow, thank you for the report. Back to Curry. Gil Alexander with the steal. And a wide open look here for Wiggins. The shots good. Gilis Alexander making the play. Gil Alexander’s got four assists now tonight. Golden State’s gotten off 12 shots from beyond the arc tonight, hitting seven of them. Outside Green shot to stop the run and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Brent Draymond Green’s resume speaks for itself. What’s he do though that we may not see or appreciate? Well, Kevin, Draymond Green does such a great job of being a connector and communicator defensively. It is remarkable the way that he can impact every position on the floor by the way he uses both his position and his voice. Forget about the offense. Draymond takes on the challenge every night defensively and that makes him elite. And Mark Dagno calls timeout here. He wants to talk to his guys. Here’s Gilis Alexander. 16 points for him going inside. Score that one for him. His eighth field goal. Eight for 11 on a very accurate night. Gilgis Alexander in traffic uses that athleticism. The Warriors have gone five of seven from the field here in the second. One more. Gilg’s Alexander against Curry to the left side wing. Williams with the steel. And now in transition. Here’s Williams. Here we go. Over in the corner. Dort buries the corner three. Dort’s got the lead up to five now for Oklahoma City. And breaking down some numbers here. The hustle stats for the Thunder. But right off the bat, they’re going after the ball, looking to jump into the passing lanes and create some steals in transition. Well, they’ve done a great job tonight of getting out in transition. So, that focus on fast break to your total in a hurry. And that’s such good work to make this a one possession game. Terrific steel to get it all started. Outside Williams and it’s Gilg Alexander missing. Warriors trail by three. through tight coverage. Butler knocks it down. Defense had the right idea there, but maybe not enough time in the weight room. Butler right through that. Gildish Alexander passes to Homer. Dort kicks to Williams. Homer sets the screen for Williams. For Moody, Williams gets the bucket. Williams has got nine. Warriors have gone seven of nine in their field goal attempts here in the second quarter. A pretty good offense. Knocks it loose. Taken away by Williams to the paint trying to find Gildish Alexander. Gets it to him. Pass to Green. It’s deflected. Curry against Williams. And there it is for him. And it’s a five-point Thunder lead. And they keep hammering away at him inside, forcing the ball into the paint. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Here’s Richard. Buries it from three-point range. He’s got eight. That’s a great pass from Draymond Green. Just understands where his guys are going to be. Oklahoma City spun 4-6 from outside the arc tonight. Gildas Alexander passes to Williams. The shots good. Gilis Alexander making the play. Gil Alexander’s got five assists in the game. The Warriors have gone eight of 11 from the field in the second quarter. really flowing here on its way from Curry for two. It’s rebounded by Hartinstein. The Thunder leading by four pass to Homer. Freeing against Hartinstein and the officials calling for a 3-second violation. Pompki, he’s checked in for Stephen Curry. Now into the lineup for your Warriors, number two, Brandon. Golden State’s gotten out from three-point land in the second quarter, going four of five from downtown. Green with a screen on Homegrren. Off target with his three. It’s a neck andneck game in San Francisco. Gilg Alexander passes to Hartinstein. Williams kicks to Gilg Alexander and that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the fouls on Jimmy Buck. He gets really smooth sometimes. Gil Alexander has some size and he challenged the defense with it that time. And the second free throw good and money from the stripe. SGA could close his eyes and knock that down. Outside Green. They get it back and that one good. Green’s got four points now in the quarter and and that’s a great play on the backboard for him. I mean, it’s what we expect. All his second chance points do not come by accident. Homegrren finds Gil Alexander. Homegrren sets the screen for Gil Alexander. Pocket six. Dort wide open. Hits it from three-point range. Dor’s got the lead up to six now for the Thunder. Well, the size and skill of Dort is pretty unique. Could be really effective at any position on the floor. Golden State moving the ball around. Pass to Green from the arc. Rebound by Williams. A Thunder leading by six. 32 seconds left to play here in the half. Warriors with the rebound. Oh, tough play by Butler. I like Butler down low fighting for points. And so it’s Oklahoma City with it. And really the smart thing would be to hold for the last shot. Every second right now is valuable to you. That should be their strategy. Outside Gilg Alexander, takes a three. A shot missing. Shade Gilis Alexander guys has been on display for the Thunder. Challenging the defense here early on. Not settling for anything outside. And you want these kind of nights where you can start to see those openings before they happen. And after a fairly even first couple of quarters, the second half could turn out to be a great one as both teams try to gain an edge. Here’s who Mark Dagnold is going to put out there to start the second half. The four and the five. The lengthy pair of Homegrren and Hartenshot. Gilis Alexander runs things with Dort to his side and it’s Williams at the small forward. And boy, he’s really in a groove. Dominant performance last game. Same thing this time out. seems to be nobody standing in his way, no roadblocks for him to get to his spot, capitalize, and continue to be aggressive. And Jimmy Butler puts together Brent, one of the alltime playoff runs, leading the Heat to the finals in 2023. Yeah, you don’t want to live in or dwell on the past. But man, Miami being the eight seed that year, Kevin, and with Jimmy putting up 38 a game in that first round against the Bucks, guy earned the MVP of the Eastern Conference Finals. What a run. Homegrren finds Gilis Alexander. Hartinstein with the screen for Gilis Alexander. A nice shot by Hartinstein. Hartenstein’s got five. Just a much smaller defender on him. He does the exact thing at the right moment. goes straight to the rim. Warriors trail by four here in this third quarter. Just over a minute play. Curry pass it to Moody. Yes. And the foul. That one on Williams. Well, that play never gets old. The pick and roll will still be an offensive staple 100 years from now. Trust me. And he’s got his first chance at the line here. Had a success rate from the line last year of about 78%. First team and Gilas Alexander’s got the ball here for the Oklahoma City Thunder. They lead by one. Just over a minute and a half have passed here in the third quarter. The Warriors have gone two of three from the field to start the second half. Pass to Moody for the lead and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Jimmy Butler just seems to raise his game come playoff time. Brent, it is a thing of beauty. It’s pretty awesome to see that kind of confidence where a guy just lays in the weeds for a little while and then in the biggest moments comes in and stands out. So that’s not always just about Jimmy Butler. It’s about his team having that kind of confidence in how he performs in the biggest moments. Ties it up and this next one could give them the lead. And teamwide, they’ve been terrific from the line here. Just one of those nights when the confidence has spread from one player to the next. Oklahoma City’s gone five of eight from three-point land. 15 points on a deep ball for them tonight. Pass to Homegrren. Here’s Dorch. Three-pointer and he’s good on the three ball. Dorch got 12 points in the game. And guys, he’s been a one-man air raid coming at them time and time again. kind of like he’s in his living room right now. He’s found a comfort zone. Once he gets that, the defense knows they’re in trouble. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Stronger than he looks. Curry able to take the hit there and finish. Second half of play with just under two and a half minutes gone. Outside Williams. to the middle. He’s looking for Hutenstein and finds him. Go into the rack with energy and the D afraid to cut him off. Yeah, got to chalk that one up to some shaky defending. There’s some ways to get your coach’s attention and that draws the coaching staff’s eye. The Warriors have gone three or four so far in the third quarter from the field. Pretty good start to the half. Curry a screen on Williams. Back to Curry. Gil Alexander with the steal. And now we’re three minutes into the third quarter of play. That one good for two. Now it’s a four-point Thunder lead. Gilas Alexander does a lot of things well. And this time playing with some great offensive balance. From 12 feet out. The shot by Curry. No good. Thunder have gotten four of their first five second half shots to fall. 80% since the break. Pass to Dort. Some nice passing by Oklahoma City here. Shot clock at six. Hartinstein with the screen for Gilas Alexander. And the call on the shot that sends in to the line. Gil just Alexander can hit you with a lot of moves. tricky to defend. The Thunder have made twothirds of their free throws tonight. Six of nine to be exact. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And the first one drops. Gilgis Alexander hits them both. Just over three and a half minutes through the third quarter of play now. Curry dishes to Green. Here’s the lob to the hoop. And that’s Jimmy Butler with a great finish there. Good hands to catch the pass and throw it through. Here’s Gilis Alexander. 23 points in the game. Pass to Homegrren. Baseline. J on the way outside. Williams fires from deep. Offensive rebound and that one is good from Hartinstein. Hartinstein’s got six in the quarter. I just think that’s trouble. You’re going to you’re going to let that guy shoot layups. You’re asking for it. Here’s Richard. Good on the triple. 11 points in the game. You How can you forget about him? I mean, he’s not going to miss that open of a look. Pass to Hartenstein. Gil Alexander deciding where to go with it. Hartinstein, nice persistence to tip it back up and in. Hartinstein’s got 11 points. You know, his positioning near the hoop always to his advantage. Just a terrific job to tip that one back in. Here’s Green and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Brent, when I think of those title teams of the Golden State Warriors, clearly you think of the Curries and Thompson and and and maybe at the top of that list, the importance of Payman Green. Well, there’s no doubt, Kevin, that the lean on for Golden State defensively and to be as good as they were on that end of the floor falls on the shoulders and the very capable ones of Draymond Green. I mean, he took on all challengers and elevated the confidence of players like Steph and Clay. So, Draymond’s defense elite and leading to titles. I mean, so much glue in this guy as Draymond focuses on making all the winning plays that he possibly can. Payton, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Alex Caruso, he’s checked in for Oklahoma City. And so, he makes both from the line. The Thunder lead by three and Mark Dagno calls timeout looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk about some love and make some noise for your DS breaker. Williams kicks to Caruso. Outside Gilg Alexander back to Caruso. Now here’s Dors. He’s got 12. Just five on the clock. Three-pointers off the mark. Warriors trail by three. Green up on top. He’s defended by Hartinstein. Green. The pass to Curry. Taken away by Williams. Outside. Dors to the inside. And there’s Williams. That’s good on the assist by Dort. George got his fourth assist in this one. And a closer look here at the hustle stats for the Thunder. All game long they’ve had active hands and and really out in the passing lanes and that aggression on defense has resulted in a ton of steals. Well, they’ve been fantastic tonight really in forcing giveaways and getting scores on the other end. I mean, you get a few more possessions like that, your confidence grows. You win that turnover battle. Just Alexander with it and Curry picks him up defensively. Just Alexander does a good job of just staying aggressive and that just forces the defense to do something. He’s had six attempts at the line. Made five of them. And you know guys, he had a big game at the free throw line in their last outing. Shooting two. And he makes the first. Gilgis Alexander hits them both. Warriors trail by seven. Outside Curry from 13. Oh, and that one had the right spin on it and it is good. 27 points for him. If Butler can’t get into the paint, he’s got some offensive options. He has the touch from the mid-range outside. George Oklahoma City moving the ball around. Gil Alexander against Kur. Six on the shot clock. Outside Gilgish Alexander can’t hit from the elbow. He’s getting good looks on the floor, but he simply cannot bury anything right now. He’s got to stay confident though because everyone knows he can hit those shots. That’s the kind of aggressive and assertive play they need as we get closer and closer to crunch time. Curry against Gilas Alexander. Caruso kicks to Gilgis Alexander. This will be his fifth trip to the free throw line. Two shots. The first free throw is good. Williams. He’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Isaiah Joe comes in for Dort. I just Alexander hits them both. Warriors trail by five. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his teams. Balls has checked in for Gilas Alexander Wallace now. Pajki scoreless thus far to the wing right side. Shot clock at six. Got a piece of it and they forced the shot clock violation. Great team. Oklahoma City leading by five. Two minutes remaining in the third. Two and here is Wallace left side. Williams pass to Joe beyond the arc. Good. Great play by Williams to set it up. Williams has got three assists now in this one. The Warriors have gone seven of nine from the field to start this second half. Some tremendous shooting from them. There’s a minute 34 left to play in the third. Five on the clock. Here is Pompeki. Williams with the block and he gets it back. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. The Thunder have gone eight of 16 in the third quarter to put their second half shooting percentage right at 50%. And that one drops. and Matador defense. That’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. Yeah, feels like Christmas right now. Just gift wrapping points. Warriors trail by 10. Pass to Payton. Now Heel covered by Joe. And Heel gets it to go on the assist from Payton. Heield’s got eight points. Buddy showing more than just the fact that he’s a shooter. Working his way strength on the inside there. The Thunder leading by eight. 44 seconds left in the third. Caruso against Payton. Caruso the pass to Wallace. Pajki with it. Still yet to score. There’s 21 seconds left to play here in the third to the wing on the left. Clock at six. He’s feeling it. It’s rebounded by Oklahoma City. Williams has got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. fires from way outside and he know his peripheral vision. The fourth quarter has arrived. So good to have you with us in the back court. We’ll see Curry and Pajki is out there with Buddy Heel and it’s post in at center. That’s the Warriors foul. Nice catch and finish on the alley. Oh, what a pass. And then he lays it in with the circus move. M so smooth. And here’s Field. He’ll bring it up for the Golden State Warriors. It’s a 10-point game. Poked away and stolen by Caruso. Lays it up and in off the pretty assist. Gilis Alexander’s got 29. capitalizing on the era, grinding out points. You got to love him. That’s why you can’t afford to just turn it over to him because he’s going to do stuff like that to make you pay just right down the throat to the middle. There’s the killer two-handed slam and credit the screen for giving him the space he needed to get to the rim. For sure. G allows him to come in with the sledgehammer. Yeah, happy settle for the layup when you can attack the rim and rise up like that. Pass to Wiggins. Caruso against Heield. And that one’s good. Caruso. Caruso’s got the lead up to 12 now for the Thunder. Warriors shooting 59% up to this point. They’re working for great shots and they’re hitting them. Horford with a screen on Gilas Alexander. Now here’s Curry covered by Joe. Folk loose all by himself. Here’s Caruso. Now that’s how to finish the break. Throw down with force. Excellent on both ends of that play. Yeah, the steel was short, but the slam topped it off. And we say it time and time again, so I’ll repeat it. Have to be careful with the ball or this is what happens. Pajki finds Heel, sinks the three-pointer. Buddy does such a great job of preparing his shot even before he gets the ball. The Thunder leading by 11. Pass to Williams on the wing. Gilas Alexander. shoots over Curry and it’s Gilg Alexander missing. They’ve been a little too casual with the ball out there. Yeah, but you can’t force that square peg into the round hole. Often times you just got to make that first simple pass and get a rhythm from that. Down low. Williams with the steel. And here’s the fast break. For those just joining us, fourth quarter here. We’re just over two and a half minutes into it. Here’s Joe. Six to shoot. The shot’s good from Gilis Alexander. Timeout. Time out. Gilg Alexander’s got 31 points. He’s got the ability to do damage inside and out. SGA’s not going to miss that. And we’ve got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. He knows every possession is critical. Now it is the Warriors making a switch here. Richards has checked in. Kenri Williams, he’s checked in for Oklahoma City. Dort comes in for Alex Caruso. And with an update from the sidelines, let’s check in with David Aldridge. Hey guys. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the last time out. Now, coach challenged him. He said, “This goes beyond this game. Show me how much heart you have for the season. Fight until the final buzzer, guys. Back to you.” Thank you, David. Here’s Williams and he banks in the layup. Williams has got his first bucket of the night. Heads up ball there from Dort. Right wing to the paint. Here’s Hee. Rebounded by Joe. The Thunder leading by 15. Go look go outside torch left side. Gil Alexander lays it up off the glass. Gil just Alexander’s got six here in this quarter. And I like how unselfish Dort was on that play. Freely giving it away rather than trying to chase down something for himself. The Warriors have gone two of four from the field since we started the final quarter of play. Pass to Curry. Shoots over Dort. Nice form on the 20-footer. How good is that? I mean, he can make a defender look foolish at times. Now, here’s George. Gilas Alexander with it guarded by Ker. And there’s Gilis Alexander. That’s good on the assist by Dor. SGA doesn’t rely on the three to get his points, but man, when it’s falling, watch out. Gilg Alexander against Curry. Horford with a screen on Torch. Curry with a wideopen look and they wasted no time getting those three points back. Nice answer back there. Love to see the competitors. Yeah, both teams finding ways to the three-point line and trying to take advantage from distance. On the wing, Gilgus Alexander tries it from 19 and the rebound goes to the Warriors. And I was sure that was money on that one, but everyone is afforded an easy miss or two. Yeah, that happens. Most important thing is for players just don’t beat yourself up and make a miss like that cost you another play. Pass to post now heel the three. That’s no good. It’s his second miss. He’s made four. Gild Alexander passes to Williams and the layup is good. Williams has got four points this quarter. Taking it up strong against size he does not lack for confidence. Yeah, hard to stop it there if you’re the big man. That’s just too good a shot and great concentration. Pass to post. Count it. Terrific effort from him really all night. Yet despite his supreme marksmanship, they’re still operating at a deficit. And Mark Dagnol calls timeout here and he wants to see some changes out there right away and right now your warriors on the thunder with some changes. Martin Stein’s checked in for Williams. Chad Homegrren comes in for Aaron Wiggins. And Jaylen Williams is subbed in for Isaiah Joe. And here’s Gilgis Alexander. He’ll bring it up for Oklahoma City. The lead is 15. Williams for three. Good on the three-point shot. You can’t just stop when there’s a pick set up. Got to fight over it as a defender. That’s one that the coaches will watch tomorrow with that player. You hate to see him give up in that situation. And contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. How quick was that Curry drive there? The D having no choice but to body him up. Try to make the effort to throw him off, but they end up fouling Stephen Curry taking two shots. Two shots. And the first one at the line is good. And both free throws good for Curry. The Thunder leading by 16. Go. Pass to Homegrren. Now Gilg Alexander and the call on the shot sends in to the line. against Stephen Curry. First team at the line for the Thunder Shil Alexander. Two shots. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots and he knocks down the first one. off on that one. So he goes one for two at the line. Warriors trail by 17. Hurry from deep three-point land. The Thunder pull it in. Williams has got four rebounds in this game. The pass to Hartinstein and the dunk by Hartinstein. Oh, nice job there from Homer. His guys appreciate when they’re open, he gets them the ball. Holden State’s gone two of five on three-point shots since the end of the third quarter. And Homer pulls it down. The Thunder leading by 19. Pass to Hartenstein. On the wing, Gilis Alexander guarded by Curry. Releases and it’s Gilas Alexander missing and Curry has it in the corners and it’s good off the back rim and in. 20 points for Stephen Curry on the offensive end. Curry both prolific and efficient. Now Gilis Alexander pass to Hartinstein right side. Gilis Alexander Oklahoma City moving the ball around. Dort passes to Gilis Alexander. Good work there as it goes. Alexander Gil Alexander’s got 39. Another good play. This is how they built the lead. Calling on the right guys at the right time. Basketball IQ is something that gets talked about, but its importance to a team showing up here, running plays that turn into scores. Moody with it outside Green. There’s a minute 47 left here in the fourth quarter. Lock at six. Richard hands it from downtown. He’s going to punish you if you leave him open. He’s more than willing to take the open three when he’s got it. Gil just Alexander. Kicks to Williams. Unloads from nine and good. Got the English that time as it falls. Williams has got five points now in the quarter. And guys, what we saw here tonight is one side having everything going for them. Huge margin of victory for the Thunder. This was a very efficient offense tonight. And the they found a way to get their shots to go down. A little luck didn’t hurt. A lot of their 50/50 shots fell their way. The one player that really stands out, of course, in this one. It was a dazzling game for Shay Gil just Alexander. It looked like a couple times they might be wearing him down, but not the case at the offensive end. He was just devastating. Look, they they’ve earned this victory tonight. Tough to dominate the way they did. Now, these nights last a long time. When you just go out there and you outwork your opponent, you know that that’s going to pay dividends. Tonight, it’s going to come in a win. Pass to Curry over Gilg Alexander and another basket for Golden State. And Gilgus Alexander’s got the ball here for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Earlier in the game, they had a 19-point lead. The Warriors pull it in. Green inside the three-point line and he gets it to go. hitting off the back of the rim promoting. We’ve got 33 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Outside Dortgrren in the corner outside Williams outside Dort pass to Gilis Alexander bangs home the trifecta Gilis Alexander’s got 44 and they came in determined to take this one. It’s going to be a happy flight home. Yeah, when you step into an opposing team’s arena and you can play with this type of composure, boy, that
