So, could the Baltimore Orioles be signing Kyle Tucker this off season? Well, here on the screen is a tweet on X from Just Baseball, which says, “The Baltimore Orioles remain interested in signing Kyle Tucker in free agency per Ken Rosenthal. Baltimore are still looking to upgrade their outfield after acquiring Taylor Ward via trade.” So, yeah, building off that Taylor Ward trade for a second, a little bit of a headscratcher if you ask me. Uh Grayson Rodriguez of course has a ton of team control left and has shown signs in the past of being a really good young player in this league, but the Orioles obviously wanted to rebuild their outfields and they’re willing to take a risk uh on Taylor Ward who’s a pending free agent after next season. So perhaps a one-year rental, but for a very injuryp-prone player with some injury concerns with Grayson Rodriguez. So I like the move for the most part. Baltimore wants to get good next year. They want to bounce back. They want to make the playoffs and signing Kyle Tucker would be exactly that. Now, historically speaking, the Orioles haven’t really been a big-time spender in free agency, but maybe that changes this off seasonason. Like, Kyle Tucker would be an awesome fit on this team. They sort of need a player like this, kind of like a five tool guy, a bit of a veteran, championship experience from his time in Houston. He just makes a lot of sense if you ask me. Now, the only question mark I sort of have is that does Kyle Tucker view the Orioles as a World Series contender next year with him on it? Potentially not. uh does he want to spend the rest of his career most likely in Baltimore? Who knows at this point? But the ownership group in Baltimore now seems a little bit more willing to spend some money. They have a good young core and with with the addition of Taylor Ward, they’ve shown signs to make this team better. And could this be enough to potentially uh lure uh Kucker to sign a Baltimore for the long term? Absolutely. Now, I don’t I don’t really see Baltimore giving out like a 400 plus million dollar deal, but I could very well be mistaken. But regardless, I’m curious where the Orioles go this off season in regards to their pursuit of Kyle Tucker. So, if you’re an Orioles fan, leave your thoughts.
