6. Considering the Mets for the final 2/3 of last season, the NY Rangers, the Jets, and the Giants, it’s hard to say which team is run more poorly. There is no chance of success for the foreseeable future. The massive profits these team make because of their location in the NY area despite gross incompetence is the root cause of the perennial stench of these teams.

9. JOE SCHOEN NEEDS TO BE FIRED TONIGHT

   I have never been more embarrassed to be a fan of this team until tonight. Not even the Denver meltdown could shake me as much tonight’s shitshow of a performance. This game was an absolute indictment of this travesty of a roster. Not a single good thing came out of this game.

   – Dart stills plays completely undisciplined. I don’t understand what its going to take for him to understand that YOU NEED TO SLIDE. You were just out for two weeks with a concussion.

   – Carter is utter failure. It took him this long to get a sack. The next coming of Micah Parsons my ass. It seems to me that he still thinks this is Penn State and he can just act like he’s the greatest thing to come out that god damn school.

   – The secondary is one of the worst I’ve seen on this team. Adebo got burnt to a crisp multiple times tonight. Deonte Banks is a complete headcase. Holland is a nothing.

   – The DL Line has given up entirely up outside of Burns. Thibodeaux has been the dictionary definition of average. D-Law is just waiting for free agency.

   – I don’t understand how Mike Kafka got any interviews for a head coach. He shows no ability to control a game. He consistently makes bizarre play calls that make no sense. WHY ARE WE RUNNING THE BALL WHEN WE ARE DOWN TWO SCORES.

   Edit: And you know what the worst part of all of this. You know what really makes me fall into complete despair. It’s that they are not going to change anything.

   Nope.

   Not a thing.

   Because the Mara Family refuses to ever take a look in the fucking mirror and admit that they are completely out of touch with the rest of the NFL. They will continue to make the same mistakes as they always do because it’s their team and they have the final say. Just like Steinbrenner whining about paying his players.

   I’ve only been alive for ‘07 and ‘11 but I’m pretty dam sure that the team won in spite of The Maras, not because of them.

10. Does the Mara family feel any shame? Failure after failure on public display for 15+ years. I don’t understand how they live like this.

11. Is Carter too small to be a DE? His size is better suited to an outside LB. If he doesn’t get pressure on the QB, he is then taken out of the play and makes very few tackles. How many times have you seen him chase down and tackle a player like a LT or Parsons?

17. Say whatever you want about Brian Daboll, but he goes for it on 4th and 1 there, no question, no debate, he sends out the offense and runs a play. which is why it is so jarring for us when they punted.

19. Anyone who tries to defend ownership will point to the Jets and Browns as being worse run to which I’d point out – yeah but they’re so bad they never have real expectations. Deep down their fans always know how it’s gonna go.

    Regressing all the way down to levels this franchise hasn’t been in 50 years is a fucking embarrassment. And at this point they’ve basically raised a whole generation of fans who only know this team as being that level of bad. Just like how most every Jets and Browns fan grows up. Very sad.

    You need to fucking fire Schoen. He is a cancer hanging over the organization and he cannot be trusted with your draft pick at all. My cousin is a huge Giants fan, and he turned to me after the game and said “this is all for nothing if Schoen is here for the draft.”

28. This roster stinks outside of a few players. We keep drafting busts at edge. I know Abdul Carter is a physical freak but you’re telling me his terrible attitude never came up when they scouted him or during interviews? What the hell are these people evaluating?

29. This fourteen-year misery began in the Jerry Reese era. It was made worse in the Dave Gettleman era. It has continued in the Joe Schoen era. Fourteen seasons, three general managers, seven head coaches, a multitude of coordinators and specialty coaches, and several roster turnovers. Three winning seasons out of the last fourteen. Two playoff appearances in the last fourteen seasons. Ten double digit losses in the last fourteen seasons. After so many seasons of this, it’s foolish to blame it on whoever the latest new guy happens to be. It’s not the latest gm’s fault nor the latest hc’s fault nor the fault of the latest dc nor the oc. The one guy who is the commonality across all these seasons and all these various personnel decisions is Chris Mara. Fire this man first.

33. A lotta tough losses this season, but I didn’t care too much because I didn’t have hope in this season to begin with. I had hope in the future and the future was looking good. First time that hope has faltered. Teams will continue to look into murdering Dart because that’s the best way to beat him. Carter looks like he wants to be anywhere but with the Giants. Not much of a future if your franchise QB is being headhunted and your number three draft pick is looking forward to free agency.

34. On the plus side this has killed off any chance of the Giants running it back with Kafka, and probably ended Joe Schoen’s career here. So… yay?

37. I just don’t think the roster is all that good. Our defensive players look pedestrian and soft on most drives and since Skattebo and Nabers is out, we have no playmaker on offense. This is just a barren roster.
