What does “Practice Squad Exception” mean?
That’s why they waived him on Friday bc no one would cut one of their 53 to pick him up so we can re sign him to practice squad
This was always the plan, they wanted to sign him to the practice squad assuming he passed waivers.
McVay openly said in one of his presser’s that their hope was to bring Karty on to the Practice Squad if he clears waivers.
Meavis is a good kicker and Its what we need at the moment but people forget karty has that knuckleball kick that fucked ST coordinators days up. Mcvay sees the value in that, its probably easier to train a kicker to make points then it is to train a kicker to kick a knuckle ball.

That was the plan all along. Waive him and if no one picked him up put him on practice squad.
Karty has the potential to be great. Unfortunately he needs more time to reach that. No worries though mevis is here for the season. An off season of hard work will fix karty
I think he’s going to be on the practice squad for insurance in case Mevis starts being bad then they’ll use Karty as the kicker again. if Mevis is good all the rest of the year I doubt they’ll bring Karty back next year.
Hope he can get his swag back, still very talented.
