‘Fire Tomlin’: Steelers fans losing patience with Pittsburgh’s long run of mid football

  1. I’m still gonna die on the hill that eking out 9-8 seasons, never being close to real contention, and being total dog sh*t to watch most of the time is not something other teams would actually enjoy despite what every national media member says.

  2. ya i’m not sure about the specific language within tomlin’s contract, but honestly it’d probably be a win-win if he got traded to say the giants. the giants get someone who is super consistent (for better or for worse) and steelers get some draft capital. if the rooney family wants to keep that “tough” image, then go grab a promising DC. even if the bottom falls out, you can at least use that to (fingers crossed) get a franchise QB high up in the draft. it’s just so tiring knowing that you’re getting an average team every single year with the same issues year in and year out

  3. Like duh, but doesn’t a lot of this have to do with having the horses to win?

He can win with thoroughbreds, but the organization hasn’t been too keen on stocking up on talent as of late.

  4. I think the Rooneys are gonna give Tomlin one last shot to get his coaching staff right. Next year will be shit or get off the pot time.

I officially won’t be opposed to a change in the offseason tho. First time I’ve been on this side of the fence.

Go get a McVey or Shanahanagins disciple.

EDIT: Or Mike McDonald’s staff. Or someone from the Texans defensive staff. Or someone from the Jim Harbaugh tree.

  5. The guy wasted Ben, Bell, and Brown. You can’t name a better QB, RB, WR combo. Our alleged defensive head coach is also putting out a bottom 30 performance from the highest paid defense. Tomlin is a fucking joke and you morons lap up his bullshit because he’s a cool black guy.

  6. Correction: we have lost the patience. We were losing it during the killer B era, gave him grace when Kenny was drafted but that was 4 seasons ago, now it’s time

  7. I’m ready for the Tomlin ride to end. What I worry about is our ownership just going out and getting a similar mindset kind of guy to replace him. I don’t have faith they’ll go out and get a young modern football minded coach.

  8. Mid might be fine if you are a Browns or Jets fan, but not here. This ride needed to be over a while ago, and its been said a million times, but a “record” of never having had a losing season means shit to me if we can’t win a playoff game or make a serious run. I like Coach T, I do, but the time has come. We are out-coached EVERY GAME. Nuke it, rebuild, and apologize to #90 for wasting his prime years.
