Sung-Mun Song, Ha-Seong Kim are among the free agent options.
Jeff McNeil, Brandon Lowe, and Brendan Donovan are among the trade options.

Bichette moving over to second, or keep what we have.
The rest of the names on that list either aren’t much of an upgrade, or are going to cost starting pitching depth that we also can’t afford to be trading away since Chuckie has Republican midterms to fund.
I like Schmitt
Let Schmitt cook
Pass on McNeil
It’ll cost too much to upgrade from what they already have.
At least that’s what ownership probably thinks.
Jorge Polanco?
Depending on how much he wants, Ha-Seong Kim would be an excellent pick up for the Giants. He runs the bases well and he is a gold glove infielder.
I like Schmitt and he had a good year but he is below average defensively by every metric and I don’t want a repeat of last year where Tyler Fitzgerald was given the role and he completely turned into a pumpkin.
If the Giants are going to win, they are going to win with pitching and defense and a infield of Chapman/Adames/Kim/Devers is a pretty good defensive infield.
What. They want a second baseman when we have multiple options internally? Yet won’t spend money on starting pitching?
if we wont stretch to 6 figures for an SP, i doubt we do it for a 2B.
One thing is for sure we won’t be spending a lot of money in getting players
Brendan Donovan would fit in beautifully (solid defender, doesn’t strike out, multiple years of control), and the Giants have the pieces to bring him here without giving up any top-5ish prospects. Add in Donovan and Eldridge to the everyday lineup, and all of a sudden our 1-7 looks pretty dangerous. STL might even be interested in Schmitt as a piece (obviously not *THE* piece) in a hypothetical trade because they’re also gonna deal Arenado this offseason.

Guess forming the Korean team is back on the table
I’m ready
Nah I’d love a full season of Schmitt at 2B.
Literally anything but bichette would be a waste of money that should of been used on imai
“This offseason is going to focus on pitching”
“We’re too cheap to sign Imai”
“We’re looking for a 2B”
fucking clown show offseason
Is Wisely available?
At the end of the day, we need a leadoff hitter, a number 5 and 9 hole hitter, and they should all be left-handed. Schmidt doesn’t have a place in our lineup; he doesn’t fit. However, he does have the potential to be a backup first baseman, third baseman, with Koss covering second base and shortstop. I’ve locked in Dom at first base, batting ninth, and Lowe at the fifth hole, splitting Adamas and Chapman. We need to find a left handed leadoff that can play OF Donovan. Does that fix the Offense at a budget price?
