Reacting to Packers PFF Grades in WIN vs Lions!!!
What’s going on everyone? Welcome back into the channel. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and spent some good time with your friends and family. Packers of course coming off a massive victory on Thanksgiving over the Detroit Lions 31 to 24 completing their sweep over the Lions and now really are in their control of their own destiny for the NFC North. have a big week coming up against the Chicago Bears, then go to Denver to take on the Broncos, then back to take on the Bears yet again. So, you the next three weeks are really going to show who’s going to take the NFC North in my opinion. Now, yes, the Lions still have a chance. They’re only two games back. And if either the Bears get swept or the Packers get swept or they split 1-1 and the Lions win out, yeah, sure, it’s not something that can’t happen. Uh, but it probably won’t. It’s going to be between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. But after this game, man, I I have the utmost confidence in this team to go out there um and sweep the Chicago Bears as well. And overall, when it comes down to week 18, we take on the Vikings, sweep the NFC North. I do have that much confidence in this team. I think they’re starting to put together some good football when it matters most. And this was definitely on Showcase on Thanksgiving, getting a very, very impressive win in Detroit, nonetheless, which is so hard to play in. Uh, but of course we have to go over the PFF grades. A little bit of a delayed video from this game happening last Thursday, but I figured uh since we’ll have this kind of off period kind of miniby, so they call it, might as well wait and then just do the PFF on the regular Monday that I tend to do them. So, appreciate you guys sticking around, being a little patient for the PFF video, but after this, the week will resume as normal. We’ll have injury reports Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, game preview on Friday, game live stream of course on Sunday versus the Bears. So, we’re going to dive down into all the PFF grades, offense, defense, take a look at the Lions PFF grades as well. And if this sort of thing does interest you and you’re stopping by for the first time or just so happen to click on this video. First off, welcome into the channel. And second, if by the end of the video, if you did enjoy it, definitely consider going down and clicking the subscribe button. You’ll stay in the loop with everything Green Bay Packers this season, news, analysis, updates, all that, everything in between. All right, so without further ado, let’s dive right down into this thing. We’re going to start on offense. Um, and some of the players I I I’ve listed here that I think will be graded high. I feel like this was a pretty easy week in terms of okay, these players should be graded high and I hope they are. Jordan Love, Dantavian Wixs, and Christian Watson. Uh, Love had an excellent game in my opinion. You know, obviously four touchdowns was accurate after a couple misses in the first in the beginning of the game. We know Tay Wix probably his best game as a Green Bay Packer. If he’s not up at near the top, I’m going to riot because you know, you guys know how big of a Tay Wix fan I am. And then Christian Watson just continues to make play after play after play for this offense. So let’s dive into the offense. Okay, good. They do have both players up towards the top. Almost three for three. We’ve Watson just below Emanuel Wilson in terms of overall PFF grade, but the top two. You love to see it. Two grades above 90. At the very very top, Dantavian Wixs, who played in 31 snaps. He needed a game like this. Has had an injury riddled season with that calf injury. thought he’d get more opportunity. Uh with with Reed being out now with Golden being out, it makes a lot of sense. Savon was out of this game, Tucker Craft out of this offense. You know, someone had to step up, not named Christian Watson. And it and it was Tay Wix in this game. 31 snaps, had a 91.7 overall grade. And I actually bring box score up on the right side for me here. Six receptions, 94 yards, and two touchdowns on seven targets. You love to see it. If Wixs can turn into this player that he was in Detroit for the rest of the season, this offense can become very, very dangerous, especially when you have Jordan Love playing at the level that he’s playing at. The best quarterback in the NFC North. 91.2 overall PFF grade. Then we have Emanuel Wilson who only played in 12 snaps. Didn’t need him as much. I think Chris Brooks out snapped him. Yes, with 18. Makes a makes a lot of sense. The Packers, you know, a little bit more pass heavy in this game. They want their pass protector and Chris Brooks out there. Emanuel Wilson’s 79.9, Christian Watson 79.4. I believe he’s top 10 in PFF grade for all wide receivers in the NFL. He’s graded out very, very well since his return. As you could see here, every single grade above average and most of them, you know, high 70s to 80s. So overall grade of an 84.6 on the season. He’s been very, very solid. Very good, should I say. Even Zack Tom 74.0, Oh, our best or highest graded offensive lineman on the day. This happens when you shut down Aiden Hutchinson essentially now twice in the year and he has zero sacks on us through both games. I mean, that’s just a phenomenal performance by both tackles for this offensive line. Josh Jacobs 71.9. Finally got a higher um run average yards per carry in this game. He was at 4.9 average yards per carry which is great. That’s been a lot lower throughout the rest of this year. So, interior offensive line kind of getting on a hot streak right now with Anthony Belton plugged in at right guard. Shawn Ryan 70.4 plugs has plugged in at center and and yeah, has shown some inconsistencies, but I think he’s been better than Elton Jenkins at center if we’re being honest. Luke Musgrave had a huge catch in this game and actually out snapped other two other tight ends. So, finally got the tight end one snap share. Again, the Packers going for more of a pass heavy offense. This makes sense. 66.8. Rasheed Walker 60.5. So, then a little bit of a drop off here. We’re getting into the averages and then the below averages. Chris Brookke 60.3. John Fitzpatrick played in 15 snaps, 60.0. Bo Melton played in 11 total snaps on offense, a 55.8. I would assume that’s the highest snap share he’s seen on offense. Actually, no, he saw 26 total snaps against Philly. So, filling in where he needs to. I still don’t think he’s had any snaps on defense. Maybe that time will come. We’ll see. Romeo Dobs 53.9. Aaron Banks down here near the bottom 52.3. Uh Darien Canard 50.6, Josh Wy 52.2. I loved what WY has brought to this offense. Maybe not a player that’s going to make any crazy splash plays, but in terms of like a vibe player in the locker room, it seems like he’s a great locker room guy and the energy is up there. Like when Taywix caught that game ender, Josh Wy was right there signaling the first down right in front of Brian Branch. It was just a comical scene. Malik Heath 38.8 and at the very bottom we have Anthony Beltton. Not I don’t necessarily agree with this. Um, obviously I I I didn’t go back and and watch the film of every snap Anthony Beltton took. I’m sure there there are mistakes there, but um, from surface level, from the eye test, from just watching the game, I thought it was a great game from Belton, and he’s had some two solid two weeks, and it’s been better than it was with Jordan Morgan at right guard. Let me know what you guys think in the comments, but I don’t necessarily think he deserves a 37.7 and a pass block of 20.4. Now, I I did see a stat that he allowed a decent amount of pressures in this game, and we can go ahead and look at that real quick. And yes, he did allow six pressures. So, yeah, that would signal that, hey, maybe he didn’t have the best pass blocking performance, but I feel like he did have a good performance in the run blocking game, even though it only shows a 45.5. But then again, Jordan Love didn’t get sacked once. So, yeah, six pressures, a little bit of a problem there, but I can’t be too mad when our quarterback didn’t even get sacked a single time. Aaron Banks allowed two and then we also have Zack Tom, Shawn Ryan, and Rasheed Walker allowed one. So only 11 pressures, 11 hurries, zero quarterback hits, and zero quarterback sacks. That is a massive win for the offensive line unit. Then wanted to take a look at the advanced passing uh metrics and stats here for Jordan Love. Ridiculous grades when kept clean. 95.9, 14 of 18, 201 yards, and four touchdowns when kept clean. So you could see the recipe for success here. Protect Jordan Love, keep him off the ground, and he’ll continue to do great things. Because one thing he has struggled with is when he’s heavily pressured, um, not being that consistent, right? You can see here four for 12 when pressured, a completion percentage of 33.3%, 2.8 yards per attempt. When he gets pressured heavy, a lot of times just goes to that first checkdown and we get minimal yards. But when you protect him, man, he starts to absolutely tear up that defense. 11.2 yards per attempt. We ran 12 total drop backs, uh, 10 attempts on play action, he was 5 for 10 and a touchdown. Screen plays only one. I feel like ever since we all were like enough with the screens. We’ve only seen about one a game since then, which is fine. I I still think you could run a couple more, maybe just like two or three screens a game. We we were getting up of the upwards of like seven, eight, even 10 screens in a game. And I’m like, this is this is just way too much considering we’re not finding success on them. So, I’m glad they kind of dialed that back and are just simply letting Jordan Love air the ball out downfield, not behind the line of scrimmage. And you can kind of see that here. One attempt behind the line of scrimmage for 5 yards. Short 10 for 14, medium, 3 for seven, and deep 20 plus yards. He was uh 4 for seven, 126 yards, and two touchdowns, which is just crazy. All right, so let’s dive down into the defensive grades. Before we do so, big shout out to Sleeper. I’m going to go over my picks for this Monday night game. Giants versus Patriots. Click the link down in the description to check out Sleeper. And if you do, use code bass when making a first-time deposit. Get your deposit matched 100% up to $100. Here’s my picks for tonight. First, we have a free pick. Drake May, more than half a passing yard. You can usually add free picks from prime time games for your sleeper pick slip. I have Trayvon Henderson. More than 69 and a half rushing yards. Been a solid season for him. The Patriots are really starting to feed him the football. I have Tyrone Tracy more than 48 and a half rushing yards. He’s been pretty solid as of late as well. And of course with Jackson Dart returning. He likes to run the football as well. So I have Jackson Dart more than 29 a half rushing yards. Let me know what you think of my picks or what yours are. Let me know down in the comments. Again, massive shout out to Sleeper. Make sure to go check them out by clicking the link in the description below. All right, so now back into the video. Let’s flip it on over to the defense. The players that I think will be towards the top. Again, I I feel like this is pretty straightforward and PFF should see it as that as well. Micah Parsons should be at the very top. I don’t think there’s any argument there and I thought it was an excellent day from the linebackers. The Lions like to run to the outside outside of the tackles a ton and I think both Isaiah McDuffy and Edund Cooper were extremely good on Thursday flowing in the run game. So, those are my three picks. Parsons, McDuffy, and Cooper. And it’s McDuffy Parsons and Cooper. So, actually Isaiah McDuffy higher graded than Micah Parsons. Don’t know if I agree with that. I I think it’s an excellent game for McDuffy and I think he’s played some great ball for us. Uh has some issues in coverage, but run defense and tackling, he’s been phenomenal. Um but Micah Parson’s absolutely changed this game in multiple ways in multiple periods of this game. So I personally would have Parsons at the top with seven pressures and I I think he has two and a half sacks, but PFF doesn’t count half sacks. They have him here as three. Uh, but again, I’m not downplaying the impact McDuffy had and has had in the absence of of Quay Walker playing this mic spot. Really filled in and and it kind of makes me wonder, you know, would the Packers be better off with McDuffy at the mic and just playing Quay Walker at the strong side backer? Let me know what you guys think. But at this rate, I feel like McDuffy’s played the mic better, which is, you know, obviously getting the defense set, being the leader out there, coordinating the defense, and really worrying about the run game where we know, you know, Quay and Cooper are more of those sideline to sideline guys, you know, can drop back in coverage, play the run, play wide if they need to. And maybe we run Quay Walker at strongside um kind of on the line of scrimmage as as as kind of like a defensive end look. I kind of like the thought of it. Let me know what you guys think. But Isaiah McDuffy, 87.0, 10 tackles with zero missed, seven total stops. What a game. What a game. Micah Parsons 82.9. Already kind of talked about it. Seven pressures, three sacks. Um he had two tackles, zero missed, and four stops. Insane game from him. Edan Cooper, you know, same thing. So fast out there. I saw a couple film clips where he’s just flying to the running back, you know, from the weak side all the way across the field. and making a play on Jir Gibbs. It’s crazy. 73.6. Javon Bullard upwards near the top here. He’s consistently been doing this. Um, and I love what I’ve seen from Javon Bullard in this defense. 71.2. Tyron Hopper saw 17 snaps, 70.9. Had three tackles, one stop, zero missed tackles. You love to see that as well. Nazir Stackhouse only saw five snaps. Now with Dvonte Wyatt down, probably see more of Nazir Stack House, but mainly we’re going to see more of Brinson who plays more of that three tech role that’s, you know, left in the absence of Devonte Wyatt, which just a horrible, horrible injury. Um, and, you know, likely will keep him out even to start 2026. It looked really bad. Hopefully, it doesn’t, but uh, it’s a big loss for this Packers defense. He’s he’s a big part of that. So, other guys are going to have to step up. Next man up mentality. Evan Williams, a 64.6. But I feel like he’s been playing better than the PFF grades have have given him. He is listed with four missed tackles on six tackles. So that would definitely drop his grade significantly with that 30.9 tackle grade. So that makes sense if he did actually miss four tackles, which PFF has him listed as. That makes a lot of sense. Welch saw one snap. I think it was when Edin Cooper checked out it looked like a stinger injury, but he came right back in after a play. Uh Baron Serell saw seven snaps. Rashawn Garry only saw 44 snaps. I think Michael Parsons played like 94% of snaps. 57 and I would assume McDuffy played off. Yeah, 63 looks like the total amount because Evan Williams and McDuffy have that amount. So, Micah Bars played 57 out of 63 snaps at edge rusher. That’s crazy. Rashawn Gary played 44, only had one pressure, one tackle, one stop, one missed tackle. Got to get better play out of Rashawn Garry. Colobby Wooden, who again uh has been playing nose tackle for us, 38 total snaps. Uh I think he only recorded one stat and that was a batted down pass. Devonte Wyatt again unfortunate unfortunate injury but did end the day with two pressures. JJ and Ibar had two pressures and a sack but a low grade 50.3. Keshawn Nixon towards the bottom here. Both of our starting quarterbacks towards the bottom which I I don’t I mean yeah our our our pass defense did kind of get torn up a little bit especially considering St. Brown checked out of this game early. We shouldn’t have had Tom Kennedy catching a ton of passes against us. But one thing I will say, the Packers play too much man coverage. And if you’re Kesha Nixon or Carrington Valentine and you have Jameson Williams running a deep crosser and you’re in man coverage and golf gets the protection, you’re going to lose nine out of 10 times. So take that as you will when we go and look at coverages after this. But Nixon 49.2, McKini 47.2, Brinsen 40.3, and all the way all the way at the bottom, Carrington Valentine at 30.7. Again, we’re going to go take a look at coverages right now to really see why or maybe why these these grades are so low for our defensive backs. All right, so diving into the coverages. First, we have Isaiah McDuffy who allowed three catches on five targets for 29 yards. I think every single one of them was kind of a hook curl. Maybe not this JMO who I would assume was a crossing route and they tied it to McDuffy. Maybe he didn’t get good enough depth, but uh every other one, the Montgomery and the FKER pretty much just hook curls and McDuffy played a little deep, came up, made the tackle. Javon Bullard allowed three catches on four targets for 18 yards. Very low average there. Keshan Nixon allowed three catches on four targets for 39 yards. Of course, had that illegal contact penalty where I think it was Tom Kennedy literally just ran into him and they called a penalty on Nixon. Yeah, Nixon is prone to penalties. like he he he gets a lot of penalties and and crazy moments, but that one wasn’t one. Like that’s why I hate when Lions fans say the the refs were all for the Green Bay Packers in this game because there were a couple times when you were sitting here wondering how was that not called or how was that called for the Packers, right? And I think that was one of them with Keshan Nixon. But he did allow three catches for 39 yards. Evan Williams allowed three catches for 18 yards. Carrington Valentine allowed two catches on three targets for 47 yards. And both were to Jameson Williams, I think, both in man coverage and were just simple crossing routes where Cough had enough time. And Jameson Williams is a very fast player. And if you’re in man coverage, he’s going to beat you if you give him that much time. It’s very hard to cover for a long time in man coverage. It’s going to favor the offense in those situations. And it did with Jameson Williams who caught two passes for 47 yards on Carrington Valentine. Edan Cooper allowed three catches for 56 yards. So another JO one was tied to a linebacker. with this one, the one catch for 44 yards and then another two small catches there, Kennedy and Gibbs. Xavier McKini allowed two catches for 40 yards. Tyron Hopper allowed one catch for nine yards. So now let’s take a look at some of the PFF grades for the Detroit Lions for their offensive players. The players near the top, Jameson Williams at the top. That makes a lot of sense even though he had a terrible drop on fourth down. Could have been a better thrown ball by G. Yes, but it was still a terrible drop that, you know, really changed his game. like maybe maybe the Lions, you know, take this thing to overtime with a catch there. You you know, they lost by seven and maybe they drive down and score at that point. Who knows? But that drop is brutal for them. Jared Golf 81.0, Pane Su and Tate Ratlage near the top. Players near the bottom, we have uh two tight ends. Again, they are banged up at tight end. Zack Horton, who I have no idea even who that is. Ross Dwelli was their starting tight end. Dan Skipper was a fifth O lineman that came in from time to time. Um, and then Tristan Cole in their center, who uh didn’t look good at all out there, 49.6. Flip it over to the defense, Brian Branch near the top, even though he got mossed by Tay Wix to end this game. 83.6. Uh, Derek Barnes, Aquedin Muhammad near the top. Aiden Hutchinson somehow their fourth highest graded player yet pretty much erased off the stat sheet both times against the Packers. He did have three pressures, but and four tackles, but that’s four stops as well, so that’s probably why he’s up here. But some of the players near the bottom, Roy Lopez, uh Thomas Harper at safety, Amique Robinson, who got cooked by Christian Watson, then cried about it on Instagram the next day, but still got cooked. 46.9. Alex Analone, who’s usually a pretty solid player, plays some sound football, didn’t seem like he played too sound of football in this game, 52.1. And then Marcus Davenport, who Lions fans always hype up because he’s returning from whatever injury he has at the time and never does anything. He didn’t record a single stat in 23 snaps. He had that Tony Snell uh stat line there. So, that does it for all the PFF grades here in week 13, right? Week 13. Wow. NFL season absolutely flying by again. A huge week coming up. You know, we just swept the Lions. That’s in the rearview mirror. Now, let’s go sweep the Bears. Two games against them in the next three weeks. This one in Lambo this Sunday. Um America’s game of the week, they call it. I think they flexed it to 3:25 Central and then Denver head to the tend to Denver and then we have a game in Chicago against Chicago the week thereafter. But the NFC North is going to be decided in my opinion in the next three weeks. And I think a lot of people agree and I full belief that it’s going to be the Green Bay Packers ending up on top. Let me know what you guys think down in the comments below about these PFF grades. I appreciate you stopping by. Leave a like on the video on your way out. It helps support this channel a ton. I’ll catch you on the next one. And as always, go Pack go.

Any team have tougher final schedule than Packerβs? Ugh. Bears are no joke n if LaFlub goes simp on us, expect a Bears blowout. Run D scares me as it has from game #3-#10!
The run blocking has been so much better with Belton and Banks at Guard, so the grades for those two (of 45) don't make a lot of sense.
Monster refresh pull
Thank you Basara
Only 2 pass blocking snaps for Wilson is criminal
Where has Gary gone for half of the yr? A ghost this seasonβ¦
Interesting view Bas. No guarantee that they extend Quay next season, particularly if he wants $15m+ per season, so maybe they go with McDuffie as Mike next year?
9:01 The 20+ yard stat for love having 7 attempts is what we wanted to see. There are two TDs in those 7 attempts. Week before last I think you showed the stat and mentioned we wanted to see more than 1 attempt. MLF was an animal during the game, ultra aggressive. That is what I wanted to see. That last play of the game I was begging for the offense to stay on. Just go for the throat.
PFF likes Isaiah McDuffie and hates quay walker and I want Quay back
Go Pack Go
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
K.Nixon 3rd down penaltyβs are every game π«£ I like this O-line Elgton wasnβt play too well & Ryan has stepped up well π» When Jenkins comes back heβs the perfect swing for a playoff run
I still canβt believe there are still some Jordan Love non believers. Heβs clearly an upper tier NFL quarterback and all forms of eye metrics like PFF, EPA, QBR say so. Heβs ranking top 5 in pretty much every metric. It must be because Matt Lafleur calls runs inside the 5-yard line, which means that Jordan Love has lower TD numbers. Jordan Love gets us down the field throwing lasers to Christian Watson to the goal line and then we punch it in on the ground. Iβm glad we scored, but I believe thatβs another heβs not in those discussions. I just wish he would throw the ball and mostly off his back foot. I feel if he were to drive the ball more, he would earn some more respect. Go Pack Go πππππ§π§
"Tony Snell stat line" π
I could see Duff being a key piece against the Bears. Obviously take him off on 3rd and long, but on running downs let him get out there and bear hunt
Packers NEED Quay back this Sunday. He will be key against the Bears rushing attack.
I am a packer fan since 1966. I am not convinced. They are too inconsistent. Win both bears games and I am in.
Micah ends up under McDuffie because of run defense, he makes plays but it's complemented with mistakes that are just as impactful.
Love is so much better when he reads quickly and pulls the trigger quickly. It allows him to step into his throws more often. It's especially noticeable when he throws deep (like the one to Watson). When he waits to throw those, the receiver has to slow down and almost wait for the ball, it eliminates the cushion between him and the DB, and it becomes a 50/50 ball too often. I'm a JLove fan, and have seen him improve in his ability to read defenses and in his accuracy every season. Go Pack Go!!!
Gary is going to get traded π€·πΎββοΈ
We gotta win these 2 against the bears!! Go Pack Go!!
Jesus is king
Once again PFF is exceedingly wrong with a Packers' OL…37.7 for Belton?? What complete and utter BS! Belton FINISHED and PANCAKED dudes all day…
Rashan Gary been super quiet with the sacksfor almost 2 months
63, so is that the max plays a player can be on the field?
Maybe PFF was using uber drivers from detroit to do their "quantitative analysis"….as they say 'lies, damn lies, and statistics'. PFF is joke, but love the show.
Valentine not wrapping up the receiver who then ran for an easy touchdown was just so, so bad. This was not a good game by him. Luckily it didn't matter since the rest was good enough. But CV has to do better in that regard.
Would be nice if Gary would show up on Sundays such a disappointment again this fall
Why do you call him Jj enabarge?
Lions will beat the Cowboys – PRAY FOR MY LIONS ππ»ππ»ππ»
McDuffie is a stud and should keep that position.
MLF said in press conference that he is very happy with Belton and how the pocket isn't collapsing as much or as fast compared to when Morgan was in. PFF sucks on grading some things.
Belton is being featured on some stations for his play. He is playing guard and I think he played well with both center and tackle plus opening up holes. PFF has a bias against rookies.
Beltonβs tape wasnβt good unfortunately especially on passing downs. His technique is not good, particularly the hand placement but heβs also learning a new position so things must be going fast for him. Heβs such a big man that just his presence alone helps the running game. If his struggles continue in the passing game maybe they should keep rotating him with Morgan whoβs way better as a pass protector.
LOL !!! I agree with Bas 100%. Asking Nixon and Valentine to cover Jameson Williams man to man on crossing routes is coaching malpractice. The only DB I have ever known to do that is prime time, and neither Nixon nor Valentine is close to that.
I thought belton looked pretty bad ngl, elgton should move back to gaurd
Kl
I've been saying that Walker and Cooper are best suited for OLB in the 4-3 scheme and they need a better MLB. Oh well
Agree on Riyan being a better center and Belton being a better guard than Morgan. Wilson and Jacobs have had nice running lanes the past two weeks. Will need that when the weather gets cold. Win in the trenches.
Love just needs to play with his hair out… Braids and Rows be too tight…
Still not that high on this team, only 7 points over a Lions team with no St Brown and Laporta and needed an iffy catch call on Wicks and the false start on Belton that should've been called. Still need more consistency to do more in the playoffs.
I would like to see Loves complete breakdown compared to the other QB in the Division, and also maybe Dak Prescottβ¦β¦how do they do when clean, when pressuredβ¦β¦.seems like most decent NFL QB would do well when not pressured?
