Miami Heat Throttle LA Clippers | Tie Record For 3-Pointers | Davion Mitchell First Team All Defense
Welcome on in guys. Tobin here with you. Thank you for checking out the channel as your Miami Heat beat the holy hell out of the LA Clippers today 140 to 123 to improve to 14-7 on the year. Bounce back, get the bad taste out of that Pistons loss out of their mouth. And uh Miami really had this one in the bag by halftime. a little kawaii, you know, pride run there at the end to make it respectable, bring it to within uh trying to remember what did he get to. He got to like 13, I think, at one point. Maybe that was the closest he got it. Um, and you know, then the Heat kind of put a stop to that. Norm Powell really put a stop to it, to be honest with you. And what a beatdown. I mean, the Miami Heat, they came out of this game humming defensively. I mean, first off, let’s start off with this. James Harden comes into Miami. All right, the house of Dwayne Wade, his house. I got to deal with all these idiots who pop up every time this guy has a a 30point game. Somebody likes to say, “What was he doing? What are you doing at 30 blah blah blah years old with his shelf empty, his fingers bare?” And James Harden comes into this game today wreaking of tootsies. Okay, this man for sure was in the VIP lounge with Ashtron in his face. No judgment, just is what it is. and he just did not look like he was there to play a basketball game today. And the Miami Heat took advantage and he just could not deal with this temptress known as Magic City. He just can’t. He can’t. And DaVon Mitchell could smell that on him. And DaVon Mitchell absolutely embarrassed him today. James Harden was minus 39 minus 39 in 20 minutes. unbelievably atrocious, a flop artist, and will never be in the same zip code as Dwayne Wade, and was so embarrassing today that his coach in the second half when the Miami Heat start off on a 9-0 run. Tyoo calls timeout sits all of his starters. The majority of them made their way back in. It was poor. I felt so bad for Chris Balls. Chris Ball’s last game in Miami and Chris Paul’s playing here. They got two Kobes. Neither of them like Kobe. They, you know, and he’s trying to, bless his heart, he’s trying to do all he can, right? He’s he’s hitting a couple threes. He’s talking bleep, but, you know, he just doesn’t have the firepower. He’s not Chris Paul anymore. You know, he’s not he’s not that guy. And eventually as the game wore on, like the Clippers would bring back in Kawawaii because they have to rest Chris Paul and then they would bring in Zubot and John Collins and Chris Dunn. They’d all come back. But not James Harden. He just sat on his ass and watched it all unfold. And that team, they they are a heinous club right now. They are a heinous club. And they are about to just hand the Oklahoma City Thunder probably a top three pick. It is I mean it has been a year from hell for them. Now Kawhi Leonard still great. Scared the holy hell out of everybody. He’s still able to just stop runs. He had like two runs in this game. One in the second quarter and I think one in the fourth where you know they they greatly outscored the Heat in the uh in the fourth quarter. It was just too little too late. the Heat were annihilating them. But oh my god, it it’s just it’s hard not to look at this train wreck. But that being said, let’s talk about your Miami Heat. This team, dude, you know, Spo talked about the last game. Didn’t love the defensive wherewithal of everybody. Didn’t love how it came out. And boy oh boy did the trio of Bamaio, Andrew Wiggins, and DaVon Mitchell set the mother bleeping tone for this game, dude. Bam bio. This man has a list. Okay. this like like like in Game of Thrones, was it Arya Stark who had the list of people she’d go to bed every night and that she and that she would just read the list to herself and she would just remind who she was going to get revenge on. I am pretty certain Bam Bio has that list for the 2025 all defensive team. I’m pretty sure that’s the case because if it’s a Zubot today got what can only be described as the business from Bam Adabio who was feeding him threes, stuck his ass in the high chair. Be a very high chair for somebody that size said here comes the airplane and was just stuffing threes in his face and then was blocking shots and then was walling them off. was just absolutely giving him everything. He flew in out of nowhere, was smacking balls out of Zubach’s hands. He was driving right through him to set the tone of this game. Bam. Autobio came into this game with a purpose. And he does this whether it’s Jiren Jackson Jr., Evan Mobley, whatever big you want to put out there, you know, Rudy Gobear, whoever, dude, this guy is making a point being like, “No, dude. I’m the best defensive big man in the league, if not the best defensive player in the league.” And he may, and you want to know something? I say this as somebody who loves Bam Adabio and and has rooted for him for a very long time. He may not even be the best defensive player on his own team. And that’s crazy to say because it may be DaVon Mitchell. Okay, I don’t say that lightly. I don’t I I’m I’m saying that understanding what I’m putting out there because Bam is enormous and he obviously can guard bigger PE. But this guy this this DaVon Mitchell is embarrassing fools. Like he’s embarrassing ball handling. They call him off night. All right, we all know this. They call him off night, but dude, he he is such a monsoon of disruption for these guards. He is just wreaking so much havoc. And you saw what he did in the closing time against Kade Cunningham. And Kate Cunningham is not small and and and neither is James Harden, but he is just he’s it’s like taking candy from a baby. It’s crazy to see the kind of pressure that he has. But I I gotta be honest with you, dude. This DaVon Mitchell like it was spouted in the in the in the postgame locker room. Norman Powell a couple lockers over from him and he’s just he’s just saying first team first team first team. I mean I think the beginning of the game I just think that we were active um on both ends of the floor. I think that um we kind of made it hard for James. Kind of kind of made it tough for him. My teammate my teammates was kind of in the gaps and and just what Norm’s like gassing him up as the interview’s going on. But it’s not just the defense. Like he’s shown a great offensive repertoire. He knows how to get downhill. His three-point shot, he’s got immense confidence in it. And then his assist to turnover ratio looks like an error when you look about how much this guy takes care of the basketball and how much he’s setting his teammates up tonight. And for him to go out there and his night was perfect. He had a perfect night. 16 points, six for six from the field, four for four from downtown with 12 assists and two steals. What? What? What is this guy? This is crazy what we’re getting from him. He’s an absolute demon. He’s an absolute menace. He needs to play as many minutes as possible. You love everything that he brings. And then Wiggins today, Wiggins was flying all over the place, just relentless energy. Um, n, you know, three blocks today was putting back his own stuff. He had nine rebounds, but he was like popping in. He had like three of those putbacks off of misses. Um, was super efficient today. the entire starting lineup really just had their moments, but the tone defensively that they set for this game was was just really really great. It was really great. And I just I I I I really enjoyed watching what they brought to the table in this one. And Norm Powell, too. Norm Powell had a block. Norm Pow had a steal. Tyler Hero got involved. He got himself a uh he got himself a steal at one point. Tyler here. So they did an interesting thing today where they they did start Tyler, but then they kind of gave Tyler the second unit with Haime. You know that that was the uh the sub pattern is that they went in, they bring in they put in Tyler, take him out, then put Tyler in with the reserves, kind of let him cook with them, and he missed like his first couple, but then Tyler here was like starting to hit stuff like crazy. He had a he had a nasty three in the corner. He hit one from Mother Bleeping Biscane Bay to start the second quarter because like Gawai, they put Gawawaii on him and he’s just like, you know what? threw in an absolute rocket from uh from the damn parking lot and uh it put the heat up by 14. But then Kawhai just went like nutty. Kawawaii was just he he was ripping everybody, dude. I mean, look, I don’t condone circumventing the salary cap and making a fake tree organization to pay him under the table. I don’t condone that kind of behavior, but I kind of understand it. Like, and it’s a shame that this guy is going to be defined by his unavailability because when this guy plays basketball, he’s one of the most unstoppable forces in the league. It’s great, dude. I mean, I remember what he did to LeBron in in in the 2014 finals. And I remember, you know, we all remember what he did with Toronto, obviously. And it’s a shame because like you got a guy with this and the whole Shay Gilders Alexander picks trade with Paul George. Like I’m sure plenty of organizations take it. It’s just it’s hard to see these chickens come to roost where OKC’s already raised a banner and now they’re going to get your pick. But this guy, I mean, like, yeah, you can see he’s just that kind of insane where he he just like went on a 100 run by himself, just like stealing everything, taking all these shots, getting and ones. Thankfully, here’s the thing, though. Here’s the thing. Once James Harden got back on the floor, DaVon Mitchell was like, “Hey, dude, yoink. Taking that from you.” and then would end up like hitting a three because that’s the karma of the game. You know, Spo, you know, Spal about that ball finding energy, karma of the game. That’s what DaVon Mitchell deserves. And he just went on this hot streak of like hitting three after three and just like, sheesh, dude. This is ridiculous. This kid is having himself a night. He is having himself a freaking night. Um and then Bamabio comes in. So they really flip like Kawawaii has this little run but then the Heat just completely flip it on its head. They go on like a 30-4 run I think it was. Bamayo pins the ball on the glass that John Collins poor homecoming for him pins it up against the the the glass. Da’Von finds Norman Pal for a three and you’re just like building is going on fire. Roll it around. Hit him again. Norman Pal heat check flamethrower goes in. Building is on fire. Cassa center is absolutely lit. I can’t believe these dummies in the Clippers just let him for slow-mo and for Kevin Love and they thought that Bradley Beal and John Collins was worth this guy. It’s crazy. It’s It’s an alltime year for the Clippers. I mean, the Clippers have had some doozy years. That That had to sting. That had to sting. Unbelievable. So, the only news that was bad news that we got at the end of the half is that Pella Larson sprained his foot. So, that wasn’t great. But dude, it was absolutely insane to see what we got from this uh from this Miami Heat team. It really was. I can’t believe these idiots traded Norman Pal to the Heat. I really can’t. It’s unbelievable. So, then we have the drama of the game because Miami starts the quarter on a 9-0 run. Three from Bam, three from DaVon, three from Norman Powell. Pyoo calls timeout. He benches everybody. So, it’s just Chris Paul playing with a bunch of who the hell? They’re just toying with these guys, right? Andrew Wiggins so nasty on defense. He’s picking on these poor bums. Um, you know, he’s like stealing it. Leads to a bam slam. Um, and then Bam Adobio still raining threes. I think tonight was a careerhigh for him. I wasn’t I didn’t double check that. The Heat tied a record of threes with 24. Bam had five. I think that was a record for him if I’m not mistaken. What a what a way he’s come with the three ball. He was feeling that tonight. He was feeling that tonight. He had the He had the stroke from downtown, dude. Really really impressive. So I I mean I I was just very very impressed. Very impressed by all the starters tonight. And then Tyler kind of got it going, you know. K Tyler got it uh got got a little wiggle room for him. He had some uh cuz Kawawaii like went on this weird you were in this weird spot where they started off um you’re like all right what are we doing here? Like it was it was getting outsc scored badly. It was looking ugly and you’re just thinking to yourself I don’t I don’t love where this is all all going right. I don’t love the way this is feeling. You get you get up that big, you can only feel one way. And Spo, he was feeling a little queasy, too, because I was thinking at one point in the third quarter, I’m like, “Oh, we’re going to see Casper’s Yakonis’ debut,” which we eventually did, but it was only like 50 seconds, and he blew a couple layups. Myron Gardner set him up with a gift for his first NBA basket, and he he yacked it. It’s that was tough. Um, but nonetheless, the uh, you know, Kawawaii was was trying him and Zubots were trying to put a scare into the Heat. I think he had what did he have in the fourth quarter? I think he had like 17 in the fourth quarter. What What was his final numbers? He was insane. But all in all, the Heat were able to stave it off. Norm Powell kind of got cooking and and he really put the dagger in it. Tyler Hero ends up finishing with 22 points. Really strong from him. Uh where’s these final fourth quarter numbers? Quiet 19 in the fourth quarter. Crazy. But Nora was uh had nine. He was four for four. Tyler Hero um pitched in with uh with a few buckets. But yeah, man, that was uh that was annoying. You would have liked to just had the it absolutely be be snuffed out completely. But look, the Heat, they put up a boatload of points. The defense really led to offense today. The three-point shooting that kind of felt like it was bound to happen. That was the one thing with everybody making the sweeping things on on the offense is like, you know, people wanting to blame Tyler and all that stuff. And I asked Norm about it today and he’s like, “Yeah, you know, everybody’s kind of finding their spots a little bit better. The defense, I think, is going to really be our identity. Um, and I think that’s an interesting thing with the Heat, right, is like their defense has still remained really, really strong, even though all of the talk has been their their offense and their pace because it’s been so bad for so many years. But these guys got a lot of two-way players. But the Miami Heat getting a uh a win like this. Yeah, it does. It It does ease the burden a little bit, but they especially making the shots like they had so many they had so many games in a row were like, “Man, I can’t couldn’t buy a three-pointer.” It it felt like one of these games was now not a record, but you know, this it felt like a big time three-point game was uh was around the corner. you just hope that they got some more in the tank when they uh they’re back at it on Wednesday in Dallas. But I I I adore today a game and and Spo said afterwards, he goes, “Look, really good teams don’t lose two in a row at home.” And I thought that was a beautiful thing because one, the Clippers stink. They got a lot of great names, but there’s just something rotten about the team. They just they don’t have it. And it’s mostly, I think, because you have a team run by James Harden, who is still a shameless flopper, who, you know, is never taking your team anywhere. That being said, um, you know, they have capable guys. You don’t want to overlook anybody. And the Heat really just felt like they they came out today with a big purpose. They did not like how the Detroit game went for the most game. And then they felt like they found something. Then they had a little session and, you know, even supposed to today like, look, we got to give Detroit some credit. And Detroit’s really good. Detroit wins today. Again, they’re uh they’re tops of the East for a reason. You know, they they they’re no joke. But even with that being said, I think the Heat think highly of themselves and they were able to get this win today in really fun, convincing fashion. Pat Riley, you don’t let DaVon Mitchell ever leave. Like, never. He’s not. Like, never. He’s not allowed. I won’t allow it. He is so much fun. I love DaVon Mitchell. You should love DaVon Mitchell. We should all love DaVon Mitchell. Goosees galore, dude. What a win today.

Davion is just unbelievable
I love the fact , we got multiple players who are playing defense now
James Harden reeking of Tootsies is buck wild Tobin!!!
PLEASE LET COACH SPO
coach, please let him keep working on his lineups and rotations…
It's a long season….
PLEASE 🙏🏾 stop with the negative opinions
THIS IS WHY DAVION absolutely have to start, point of attack DEFENDER!!!!!
Thank you, Tobin, for your always positive work with no hidden agendas against our players.
People forget Wiggins #1 and Davion #9 are former first round picks 😂
Jovic Dude 😂😅😂😅😂 TRADE Jovic to the Nets for Danny Wolf🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Kawai is overrated, sorry. You need to compete and be available, you can't be great once in a while, it's unreliable. I don't get the hype, dude has two rings, could have 4 if he applied himself.
We gotta start giving ware more minutes
That line up without herro in the 2nd quarter to go on that run really makes you wonder if he’s the problem but atleast he added to it when he came back in,just gotta keep that going
“Davion Mitchell just had the highest TS% in game with a double-double in NBA HISTORY,”
Mitchell finished with 16 points on 100% field goal shooting, 100% three-point shooting, and 133.3% true shooting.
Trade hero now huh
That 32-4 run happened as soon as Tyler was taken off the court but we should ignore that right
Reeking of tootsies 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s just crazy how it was a close game with Tyler on the court and as soon as he got subbed out for norm we went on a 30-2 run
And you had idiots wanting to bench Mitchell for Tyler 😂 Tyler could never
This team is the real deal
Where all the Bam haters at? 👀
We are one big man away from competing in the finals
its DAVIOOOOOOOOOOON DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWD. and should never again be temu joker dude
Playoff Hardin showed up
I like Tyler but with this team I don’t feel like he’s needed….that’s why he’s playing with the 2nd unit….his style of play doesn’t always fit with the team….I also feel like he’s stunting the growth of Kel’el and Jaime but we shall see
Herro is Heat homegrown and has never really had the support of the fans. Great game and all people want to talk about is how the Heat went on a run without him. He’s coming back from injury, figuring out his way with this team, still giving you 20 a game. We are 3-1 since he’s been back. Can we show this man some love on this beautiful journey this team is on?
Heat in 5 🔥🔥🔥🔥
There was an interview where Davion clarified the reason they call him “Off-Night” is cause when he plays he tends to get players into an “Off-Night” based on his effort and defense on star players – harden is the example here
Ur gf jovic still sucks btw
Love seeing Bam cook, but his hit list need to have every big man on every team on it cause I wanna see him cook players like Jokic,AD Wemby Giannis etc that's how you prove yourself
