Please be ready when the MVP is handed to Maye based on arguments like this
December 2, 2025
Basically, the Rams have to blow out every single opponent, must go 17-0, Stafford can’t miss a throw and he has to do it with no help whatsoever to win MVP based on what I’m seeing on X these days.

Maye is playing elite this year but to say he should get MVP is where I draw the line.
He can have the MVP as long as we bring home the Lombardi.
To be clear, he doesn’t deserve it. Not even close. But I care way more about winning it all than Stafford getting MVP.
If it does go down like this though, you know it’s just media bias kissing up to the Patriots
It’s basically a two horse race at this point, and it really comes down to how each of them finish out the season. At the end of the day, the voting is done by people with their own biases and personal agendas, so numbers can only indicate so much.
Realistically, I think the Panthers game ended the Stafford MVP campaign. Maye isn’t doing anything awe inspiring, but his team will finish first in the league and most of the QB stats like him.
Is he a voter?
He looks like a fucking loser.
Gives a reason why schedule difficulty is a useful indicator for teams.
Doesn’t give a reason why schedule difficulty is not a useful indicator for QBs.

If the pats lose in the playoffs this argument is moot. Rams will win SB and Stafford will get MVP
I said it before, Stafford is going to throw 50 TD’s and 5 pickd and somehow won’t get all pro. Awards voters seem to hate the guy for some reason.
I concerned about the Lombardi Trophy. The rest is just window dressing.
Would I love to see Stafford win it? Absofuckinglutely. Am I going to fret about it or go out of my way to follow it? Absolutely not.
The Ring’s the thing.
The patriots have been very impressive this year.
But just looking at the raw numbers, I don’t know how Stafford isn’t still the clear favorite. Here’s Staff vs Maye
12 games, 3073 yards, 32 TDs, 4 ints.
Vs.
13 games, 3412 yards, 23 TDs, 6 ints
I mean 9 more touchdowns and 2 less picks with a game in hand?? I don’t understand
Maye and Stafford are both playing at an insane level.
Stafford still has a very slight edge IMO but after the Carolina game Maye has closed the gap. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the voters considered the race even at this point and used these last few weeks to determine the winner.
Its still Stafford’s to lose. If he flounders at the end of the season and Maye stays hot then Maye deserves it. And vice versa. I wouldn’t be upset at that at all, I love what Maye is doing in NE. This is the first time I’ve like a Patriot in decades.
Do Stafford haters not know he broke an NFL/Tom Brady record against the Panthers? I was at the game. It was cold and messy from the consistent rain. I’m surprised he played as good as he did. He quickly made up for the pick 6. That loss is on the defense more so than Stafford. Giving up multiple TD’s on 4th down is inexcusable. The fumble wouldn’t have even happened had the defense not put the offense in a jam late in the game.
Has a rookie or second year quarterback ever won the MVP award?
