Hey everybody, had a fun exercise on MLB.com recently ranking my top 10 on-field moments in Cleveland franchise history. I'm curious which ones are part of your top 10 that are not on my list.

I found while writing this that there are so many good moments to choose from, and honestly it was quite challenging leaving some off. I tried to keep the full scope of team history in mind, though it was hard to ignore a few things from recent years!

  1. I’m partial to the Lindor slam just because I was there in person, but it’s sad to see how many of these moments were attached to individual games or series we still ended up losing.

  2. Large Yule’s on there for recency, definitely not in the same ballpark.

Dude’s persona non grata for good reason, but you could still put “Every Vizquel barehanded play” as a single entry. Same with Lofton’s multiple wall climbs to save homers. [Fuck everyone who left this man off their HoF ballot, as well as fuck Joe Torre and Randy Johnson.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc-ZY-AxtRQ)

  3. Also, I’d throw Giambi’s “Mardi Gras in September” walk off on the list as an honorable mention at the very least.

  4. May 10 1959, I was 7 years old, a road game in Baltimore was broadcast on TV in Cleveland, I watched Colavito hit 4 home runs that night. My favorite home run was the one that bounced off of Canseco’s head and went over the fence.

  5. Missing even from the honorable mentions in that link
    :
    – Albert Belle going 50/50, in addition to his corked bat incident (Jason Grimsley 😉)
    – Tony Peña walk-off in ’95 ALDS
    – Lonnie Chisenhall 9 RBI game
    – Cy Youngs: Sabathia, Lee, Kluber, Bieber
    – Bieber pitching triple crown
    – Josh Naylor 8 RBI from 9th-11th innings+ all the smoke
    – Manny Ramirez 2 HR game, with Indians winning 2-1 on just 2 hits (I might be the only one who remembers that game though)
    – Manny Ramirez 165 RBI season
    – Tyler Naquin inside the park walk-off
    – Jason Giambi’s walk-offs clinching playoffs
    – Sellout streak
    – Scoring 1000 runs in a season as a team (1999)
    – Vizquel-Roberto Alomar infield being the best ever, matching with Travis Fryman also winning the GG in 2000 (former winners Sandy Alomar and Kenny Lofton were also contributors to probably the best defense ever assembled).
    – Thome’s 511 ft home run
    – Mark McGwire’s homerun off the Budweiser sign deserves mention.
    – Jose Ramirez career/franchise records he has broken and likely will break before he’s all said and done.
    – Clase near immaculate inning in All-Star game
    – Sandy Alomar game winning home run in 1997 All-Star game + MVP (in Cleveland)
    – Shane Bieber 2019 All-Star game MVP (in Cleveland)
    – Sandy Alomar kicking John Doherty and Albert Belle knocking Fernando Viña’s ass to the shadow realm
    – Ricky Colavito 4 home run game (1959)

    – my personal favorite: the entire third base line heckling Ozzie Guillen sometime in the mid-90s getting to the point where he got so mad he flicked us all off.

What else have I missed or omitted?
