Philadelphia Eagles Just Got A MUCH-NEEDED Gift Without Playing On Sunday | Eagles News

Look, I know things are bad with the Philadelphia Eagles right now. After back-to-back losses, it feels as though the sky is falling in the city of Philadelphia. The Eagles choked against the Dallas Cowboys, then got manhandled by the Chicago Bears on Black Friday. All of that happened within the span of 5 days. But what if I told you that the Eagles got great news on Sunday and didn’t even have to play? And what if I told you that everything that the Eagles want to achieve and accomplish is achievable? Let’s talk about it right now. Here we go. Happy Monday, everybody. This is Philadelphia Eagles now. My name is Chase Senior. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and your weeks are off to a phenomenal start. A reminder, support the show. Subscribe today. We’re 493 people away from 139,000 subscribers. And what you get when you lock us in and you hit that sub button. Daily free Eagle shows right here on YouTube. So in the span of 5 days, the Eagles went to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. They went up 21 nothing and then they collapsed. They didn’t score for the final 41 minutes of the game and they choked against the Dallas Cowboys and lost that game on a last second field goal. that opened up the door for Dallas, who has now won three games in a row, to somehow make this comeback bid and win the NFC East if the Eagles continue to crumble. And then on Black Friday, in a huge game in front of the entire world as that game on Amazon was broadcast to 200 plus countries across the globe, Philadelphia got bullied. Vic Fangio panced by Ben Johnson. The Bears running for 281 rushing yards. Eagles couldn’t stop a parked car. And in the span of those five days, the Eagles went from the number one seed in the NFC with more than a 50% chance to get homefield advantage all the way to the number three seed. And this Eagles offense, it is still bad. It still stinks. It’s still anemic and it is still predictable and vanilla. But glass half full approach here on this Monday with how bad all of this is. The NFC and the NFL as a whole, ladies and gentlemen, it is wide open. It is there for the taking and the Philadelphia Eagles still have a great opportunity to repeat as Super Bowl champions. First, you look in the AFC. Think about the landscape in that conference, right? There is not a single great team in the AFC. We’re looking at a year in which the Kansas City Chiefs might not be able to make it into the playoffs when the AFC is as down as it’s been in a long time. What a year for Shawn Peyton’s Broncos. But last night, they go into overtime and barely beat the Washington Commanders led by Marcus Mariota. Now, that defense is fantastic, and I think that that defense is built to help Denver win a championship this year. But Bo Knicks has been so hot and cold this year. They’re the number one seed in the conference. The New England Patriots, great year under Mike Vrabel going into this year. They’re one of my favorite teams to go worst to first in the division because I was anticipating a possible Bills fall off. And Drake Bay has been really good, but the current construction of that roster has no playoff experience. Their schedule has been weak and one of their two losses came to the Raiders who I think might be the worst team in football right now. Does anybody trust the Jacksonville Jaguars in that three spot at 8-4 and Trevor Lawrence in a big game? I don’t. The AFC North, it’s been a dumpster fire this year. The Ravens are leading the division despite a six and six record. They’re banged up and Lamar Jackson doesn’t look 100%. The Chargers 8-4. I love Jim Harbaugh, but they’ve had so many injuries all across the board. The Indianapolis Colts, the six seed, they’ve started to come back to life. And Daniel Jones has played more like the Daniel Jones who we saw with the New York Giants. And then you have the Buffalo Bills at 8 and4 obviously with Josh Allen. Buffalo really dangerous, but their defense all season long has stunk and it’s not a defense that I think can win the Super Bowl. The craziest thing, and you could say this for the NFC as well, with the Cowboys being the hottest team in the NFC, I think the Houston Texans are the hottest team in the AFC. But like with Dallas, it might be a Texas thing. If the season were to end today, the Texans would not be in the playoffs. The Steelers are awful. Mike Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff game since 2016. I think they need to move on. That offense is just such a stale product and their defense is overrated. They’re six and six and the Kansas City Chiefs might not even make the playoffs there with that six and six record as well. And for as bad as the season started off for the Miami Dolphins, isn’t it kind of crazy? They’re in the mix and still alive at 5 and seven, the Bengals could win out. They’d be dangerous with Joe Burrow, but they’ve dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of that 4 and8 start to the season. So that’s the outlook in the AFC. in the NFC, who is the top team in this conference? Similar conversation that we just had in the AFC. Proves my point. The NFL is wide open. And if the Eagles play their best football, if they get this offense figured out, if the defense plays up to their caliber, are the Eagles the best team in the NFL when all things are clicking for the birds? Obviously, there’s a lot that has to happen in order for that to take place. And there’s a lot of corrections that they need to make. And they might be who they are, but the whatif game is pretty intriguing here. And this stretch run is going to be fascinating. You look at the NFC playoff picture. The Bears are having their best season since 2018. And obviously, they dump truck Philadelphia, but they got some help to move up to the number one seed in the NFC. Their schedule remaining is very hard, and we’ll take a look at that here in a few moments. The Rams as 10-point favorites lose on the road against the Carolina Panthers. So, they drop from the top spot to the number two seed. You have the Eagles there at 8 and4. The Buccaneers have not played good football in a long time and they’ve been injured. They’re at seven and five, leading the NFC South, but the Carolina Panthers right on their heels. And the Bucks and Panthers still have to play twice in the final five weeks of the season. Seattle Seahawks playing a really good year. Sam Darnold though has these big game hiccups. I love their defense, but how does Darnold respond in a big spot? Anytime he’s played in a big game throughout his career, he’s pissed down his leg. But I do think Seattle is dangerous. The Green Bay Packers, when they’re hot, excellent team. When they’re cold, it’s almost mystifying how bad and confounding how poorly they can play at times with all of the talent and the youth on that roster. And then you have the San Francisco 49ers there at that seven seat at 9 and4. What a coaching job Kyle Shanahan and Robert Salo have done this year with all of the injuries and the adversity that the Niners have had to face. And you look at this landscape right now, the Eagles don’t have the tiebreaker against Chicago. That’s why that game was huge. And so they lose that head-to-head matchup, but they beat the Rams. They beat the Bucks, beat the Green Bay Packers, and then the other teams in the mix. Beat Detroit, and replacing two coordinators, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator for Detroit, a huge concern for me going into the year. They’re at seven and five. The Thursday night game this week against Dallas could make or break this season. And it’s so crazy how the Cowboys right now are clicking. They’re humming. Elite offense, defense has vastly improved since that Quinn and Williams trade. But if the season were to end today, they wouldn’t be in the playoffs. At 65 and one, they’ve won three games in a row. I think their only pathway to make it into the dance is if they win the NFC East, just because you look at the wild card teams here and that Dallas Lions game going to go a long way in deciding which team could potentially make the playoffs. And then don’t sleep on Carolina. Bad loss against the Niners on Monday Night Football. Then they turn around and pull off one of the more shocking victories on Sunday against the Rams. And speaking of those Dallas Cowboys, who the Eagles did split with, but they lost the most recent matchup. So the Cowboys have the tiebreaker. And if the Eagles and the Cowboys finish with the same record, the Cowboys would actually win the division because they have that tie, the same amount of wins, I should say. And isn’t this crazy? The Cowboys right now, kind of like the Houston Texans, but more so with Dallas here, is where I really emphasize this point. I think Dallas right now, having won three games in a row, their offense is electric. It’s fireworks. Their defense since the Quinn and Williams trade has been so much better. They’re a well coached football team right now, and they can win in a variety of ways. Right, the Cowboys are the hottest team in the NFC right now. I think they’re playing like the best team in the NFC. But this really speaks to the wild season that we’ve seen across the NFL here in 2025. Because if the season were to end today, the best team and the hottest team currently in the NFC in the Dallas Cowboys would not even be in the playoffs. Now, with that Rams loss, the Rams, everybody was talking about Los Angeles as the team to beat, not just in the NFC, but the Super Bowl favorite in the NFL. Everybody was talking about Matthew Stafford being the MVP. I had him going into yesterday as my MVP. And then he throws two interceptions, including a pick six. The Rams as 10-point favorites. lose on the road against a Panthers team that got dominated by the Niners on Monday Night Football. Short week, they come back home. Cross country travel. Cross country travel for the Rams as well. But the Panthers win this game in a game that featured what, four or five lead changes. Stafford gets picked off twice. Bryce Young, who looked awful against the Ners, 15 of 20 for 206 yards, three ties. Chuba Hubard, 17 carries for 83 yards. Jaylen Coker had a career game, four catches for 74 in a Tutty. And the Rams this year have now lost as eight and a half point favorites against the Ners back in week five and as 10-point favorites against the Panthers. They can be exposed. They can be beat. And the Eagles already beat them. So despite back-to- back losses, the Eagles only one game back from the Rams and the Bears to get that number one seed. potentially in the NFC. We’re going to take a look at the Eagles remaining schedule, Rams remaining schedule, Bears remaining schedule, Cowboys remaining schedule because Dallas is a threat to win this division if the Eagles have a 2023 like collapse. We’ll get to that just around the corner. But let’s get to our sponsor, our friends at Brunt, making today’s Philadelphia Eagles now possible. Now, you might look at me in this flannel, in front of this camera, on this microphone. I’m not wearing makeup, but you might say, “Chase, you’re a pretty boy. You talk about football for a living. I actually really like hard jobs. I like to get my boots dirty and my hands dirty. My favorite job growing up was working at a golf course maintenance, cutting greens, fairways, approaches, tea boxes. And when I was working at that golf course then, I wish I had a pair of Brunt work boots. Now I do, and they’ve been a game changer because I still love woodworking. It is one of my biggest side passion projects. And choosing work boots used to mean sacrificing comfort or durability. If they felt good, they didn’t last. And if they lasted, they wrecked your feet. Brunt thought that was BS. So, they built tough boots that feel great from day one. No breakin, no sore feet, because people out there doing the real work shouldn’t have to choose between comfort and durability. Founder Eric Gerard grew up as a bluecollar guy like all of us from Philly. and he started Brunt Workware after his friends in the trades kept telling him, “Eric, the big brands, they stopped listening. They haven’t changed in 100 years they had sold out to become fashion brands. His buddies encouraged him to start a brand built for them. And that’s why Brunt Products are named after the guys he grew up with, real hardworking tradesmen. And I know a lot of you out there can relate to that. We get it out of the mud. We like to call our hands. These are no doubt the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever worn. And they felt comfortable right out of the box. No long painful breakin like all those other brands, but they’re not just comfortable. They’re built to perform. So if you’ve been looking for the perfect gift for a hardworking man in your life or maybe yourself, get him or yourself something from Brunt. They’re boots and apparel, something that you’ll or Hill actually use, and they’re going to keep you comfortable all day on the job. So, these are the Marin work boots that I showed you here. With temperatures dropping, holidays coming up, it’s time to treat yourself or the hardworking man in your life to real comfort. Skip the throwaway gifts. Get them something built to last. Some easy games, some difficult games. Week 14 on the road against another playoff level team in the Los Angeles Chargers. That game taking place on Monday Night Football. An important development with that game transpired yesterday into today. It’s going to linger all week. We’ll get into that here just around the corner. The Eagles then play, I think, the worst team in the NFL right now in the Las Vegas Raiders. I think they’re playing worse than the Tennessee Titans. I think they’re playing worse right now than the New York Jets. The Raiders stink. That should be a gimme game at Lincoln Financial Field. Week 16, Eagles go on the road to play the Commanders. Short week on Saturday. And the Commanders last night against Denver, feisty. Took that game into overtime. I imagine Jaden Daniels is going to be back by then. He’s been a limited participant, not cleared for full football activity. And so in three weeks, I think JD will be on the field and that game’s going to be hard. Divisional game. The Commanders not good this year. But they have played in some close games unlike last year when they won those. They’ve lost those this year. But they want to spoil the end of the Eagles season. Then the Eagles go on the road to play the Buffalo Bills. Hard game there. Then they play the Commanders for the second time in three weeks in week 18. The Bears remaining schedule. Chicago right now number one seed in the NFC. Well earned. They are six and one this year in one score games. Their offensive scheme looked like a different sport that they were playing compared to this Eagles offense. Nick Serriani, take note. But this Bears team, first year head coach, secondyear quarterback, a team that has no playoff history. Look at this daunting schedule coming up. The Bears on the road against the Packers this week. They play the Browns home against the Packers on Saturday. On the road against the Niners on Sunday Night Football, that game could decide a playoff spot. Then they round out against the Lions. That game could be for a playoff spot. So, the Packers two times in three weeks, the Niners and the Lions. What if the Bears go one and four here? It’s completely possible. What if they go two and three here? Opens up an opportunity for the Eagles if they take care of business. The Rams remaining schedule. I thought they had an opportunity to potentially win out. Then they lost against Carolina. Anything is possible. Divisional round game on the road against the Cardinals. Home against the Lions. Detroit will be fighting for their playoff lives. They go on the road to play the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Massive game. Week 17 on the road against the Falcons Monday Night Football. NFL ESPN. Do we really have to see Atlanta on Monday Night Football? Come on now. And then the Rams end with the Cardinals in week 18. The Cowboys remaining schedule kind of easy here. And this is why the Eagles need to take care of business because if they continue to unravel and the Cowboys play like they have the last three, the Cowboys could win the NFC East. I don’t think there’s a pathway for Dallas to be a wild card team because all those wild card teams have really good records and they still have a cushion on Dallas. So this game on Thursday against Detroit, huge, huge, huge. Might have to do a watch party for that right here on Eagles Now. Week 15, Vikings, Sunday Night Football. Week 16, Chargers. Vikings Chargers at home. Dallas has to go on the road to play the Commanders on Christmas. That’ll be a big game. National spot. And then on the road against the Feisty Giants. So, you’re hoping the Cowboys obviously can lose a couple of these games. How about they start by losing on the road against Detroit? As for the Eagles in week 14, they will play the Chargers on Monday Night Football. The mini buy for Philadelphia is clutch. They’re going to have the rest advantage even though they need to travel to LA. And Eagles fans are going to take over Sofi Stadium. Huge development yesterday, which is going to play out all week. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has a break in his left hand. He’s going to have surgery today. Jim Harbaugh said. Harbaugh wasn’t sure if Herbert will miss time. Now Herbert after the game, obviously still working with some adrenaline after a good win for the Chargers over the Raiders, told reporters that even with having to undergo a procedure on Monday on his fractured left hand, he is treating next Monday’s game against the Eagles as if he’s playing. Now Aaron Rogers had a similar type of injury. He missed one game though against Chicago. Came back yesterday. Justin Herbert could miss this game against the Eagles. Now, I want to see the Eagles go up against Herbert. I want to see how they stack up against an elite quarterback. But if Herbert can’t play, there’s a big drop off obviously to Trey Lance. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s all there for the taking for the birds. And I hope Nicks showed this show to his locker room. He’d be a smart man if he did that. You’d be a smart person if you give me a follow on X, Instagram, and Tik Tok. Obviously, large followings here. Just recently launched a Tik Tok. 1. It's a wrap for the Eagles. The Cowboys WILL win the division. I can see the Eagles losing at least 3 more games before this is over. It's a shame these coaches for the Eagles have all these weapons and they can't do anything with these guys…smh..another note- why would you bring in a OC that NEVER play called before. And his first time play calling is for a NFL team..this is asinine. It's almost like it's rigged. The incompetents of these coaches is ridiculous. If Howie is that guy as we claim he is, he should replace KP immediately. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the difinition of insanity.

  2. 🤣🤣🤣 nah bro bears are the hottest team …. they also beat the crap out of Dallas and shut down that offense no team is going to want to play in the windy city of Chicago with the best O-line in the nfl

  3. season is over guys we aren’t winning a SB with this offensive scheme. until they realize it’s a Nick problem we’re throwing away this talent.

  4. No, I do not think the Eagles can win a super bowl, they probably sneak in playoffs. This offense has been a problem & is getting worse. Not worried about the D. It's clear Seriani is not a x and o guy. Were as good on offense or Defense based off how good the OC or DC is. We can't make adjustments, get out coach & sadly at times out played. Too much talent, 10 of 11 same offensive starters. Why were not using the blueprint last yr?? Chicago game another example .why does Barkley only have 13 attempts? What did everyone say in 24? Barley gets stronger As game goes on. I looked up 24. Barley had almost 1300 yards in 2nd half, almost 900 yards in 3rd quarter both all time #'s since nfl started keeping track in 1978! How Seriani is a offensive guy? He is closer to a player then H.C. and its not just this yr. He is obviously good with players but if he did coach a team stacked with best roster in NFL last 4 yrs he wouldn't still be HC!

  5. You cannot compare 1 Rams loss or 2 (49ers) its not the fact we lost again. Its how we've been playing even in the wins. We haven't played 1 good football game for 4
quarters this year. We squeezed by because talent overcame coaching and thats 100% ment on the offensive side. The D has several excellent 4 quarter games inc the Denver loss.

  6. Nobody can say with a straight face you see Eagles winning more then 2, maybe 3 of last 5 and I wouldn't even just give a "W" in Raiders game. The offense plays like Chicago, Dallas 2nd half, Denver, Green Bay, Detroit, ect Raiders only need 17 points to beat us

  7. Things are fkn terrible with the birds…I knew as soon as we hired OC internally again we were doomed. Caught a lot of flack for my comments too but look where we are. And its not sustainable to have a new OC every year for Jalens career, no consistency at all.

  8. If KP isn't fired, there will be no change. This Offense is pathetic!! The Cowgirls will probably win the Division, thanks to the Eagles. It will be the second time in 3 years that the Eagles gave away the Division. No excuse. It doesn't matter about the AFC, the Eagles will neve get close to the BIG GAME, even if the Eagles make the Playoffs??? They'll be one and done.. The Eagles are one of the worst teams in the league right now. I don't see that changing if KP stays as OC.. They can't beat anyone!!! I have no confidence, at all!!! This season is over, we all know it. Unfortunately, hoping that they'll turn things around, is a pipe dream!!!

  9. How does winning the most recent match up when they split the series, lead to the cowboys owning the tie breaker? That doesn’t even make any sense thought it was based on divisional wins than conference wins than the head to head match up outcome

  10. Eagles just have to win out. Bears play the packers twice & they’ll split that & will both end up with 4 losses. Bears also play the lions the last game of the season lol. Rams play the Lions and the Seahawks.. I think they’ll lose at least 1 of those. So honestly if the eagles win out we could be good. I’m just worried about the bills on our schedule. Our 2nd toughest team was the chargers but now Herb is out for hand surgery. Were being gifted so we better take advantage of

  11. We dont care anymore this team is straight garbage not Worth reporting let the whole stadium burn to the ground not even watching anything more from this shit team had to burn 16 hats and 12 jerseys with a bunch of sht fuc this team 25 years strong im done with this sht im hoping for a loss every game out with Hurts 🤕 on the bench not able to play GO Birds 🔥 💩💩💩💩💩

  12. We did lose to the bears. But! If we could just get that offence going we would smoke then yo. We can beat that shit. We know we can handle Dallas always beat the rams Tampa can give us a run for our money . San Fran look good but I think we can get that too. Just gotta get shit rolling and I think we are I really do
